CBS has just revealed the 18 castaways for Survivor: Philippines, the 25th season of the hit US reality television series Survivor, which will premiere on September 19, 2012. Survivor: Philippines was shot on the famous Caramoan Islands in Camarines Sur, the venue for 12 other Survivor editions from different countries
The season will feature 15 new castaways competing with three returning castaways who were removed from their previous seasons due to illness or injury. The said three castaways were Michael Skupin (Survivor: The Australian Outback), Jonathan Penner (Survivor: Cook Islands and Survivor: Micronesia), and Russell Swan (Survivor: Samoa).
Each returning player will be on a different tribe, meaning the show is moving back to a three-tribe format for the first time since season Survivor: All Stars back in season 8. It will also be the seventh season to feature returning castaways. The names of the tribes were Kalabaw (Water Buffalo), Matsing (Monkey) and Tandang (Rooster).
