Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme (aka Kimmy Dora 2) had already grossed more than P100 million according to Star Cinema.
This was announced on Kris TV's first anniversary on Monday, June 25 and also posted by Star Cinema's promotions manager on Twitter.
Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme is the only 2012 Pinoy film so far to surpass the P100 million mark aside from Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz' Unofficially Yours.
With the success of Kimmy Dora 2, lead star Eugene Domingo can't contain her happiness and thanked all the fans who supported the movie. The sequel also earned more than the first movie which according to Box Office Mojo earned a total of P81 million on it's entire run.
"Gusto kong magpasalamat sa lahat ng nanood at nag-enjoy hindi lang isa beses kung hindi maraming beses. Dapat tayong mag-celebrate kasi Pinoy film ngayon ang pinakamalakas sa box office. So mabuhay ang pelikulang Pilipino."
