Posted on December 26, 2013 | 9:58 AM

The 39th Metro Manila Film Festival has started and My Little Bossings starring Vic Sotto, Ryzza mae Dizon, Bimby Aquino-Yap and Kris Aquino topped the first day of the 2013 MMFF.

MMFF 2013 box office tally

My Little Bossings is followed by another surefire hit Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy starring Vice Ganda and Pagpag, the only horror movie in the bunch which stars teen idols Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla. In 4th place was the third and last installment of Kimmy Dora franchise, Kimmy Dora: Ang Kiyemeng Prequel topbilled by Eugene Domingo and Sam Milby.

Other films which failed to make it in the top 4 movies based on the box office tally during the first day of MMFF 2013 are Boy Golden of ER Ejercito and KC Concepcion, 10,000 Hours of Robin Padilla, the Francis Magalona-inspired Kaleidoscope World and Pedro Calungsod: Batang Martir starring Rocco Nacino as the 2nd Pinoy saint.

This year's festival is a record-breaking one with 12% more sales on the opening day than last year. Here is the 2013 MMFF 1st day box office result:
