National TV Ratings (February 24): Honesto, Got to Believe Hit New All-Time High TV Ratings

ABS-CBN primetime TV programs were the top 6 most watched programs nationwide last Monday (February 24). Honesto led the pack with its newest all-time high national TV rating of 35.6% followed by Got to Believe with 33.1%

Meanwhile, The daily edition of The Singing Bee premiered strongly with 15.8% national TV rating, leaving behind GMA’s Tunay Na Buhay, which only scored 5.7%. The pilot telecast of the newest Asianovela Skip Beat (10.2%) also outperformed GMA’s Tale of Arang A Tale Without End (6.7%).

Super Junior's Upcoming Kapamilya Series Skip Beat Rocks Twitter World

ABS-CBN’s upcoming Korean series “Skip Beat” hasn’t aired yet, but it already landed on Twitter’s top trending topics in the country last week after the Kapamilya Network aired a its teasers on television to drumbeat its premiere this Monday (Feb 24).

It trended not just once, but twice— first when ABS-CBN first aired its teaser plug and second when it aired the full trailer— that proves how excited K-pop fans are to watch the highly-anticipated series topbilled by Siwon and Donghae of popular Korean boyband Super Junior, and Taiwanese sweetheart Ivy Chen.

“Skip Beat” marks the first ABS-CBN series for the three Asian stars.

But before their colorful journey begins, Gian and Janelle’s love story must first come to an end this week in the finale week of “Princess Hours.”

ABS-CBN has released the full trailer of upcoming Asianovela Skip Beat starring Super Junior Siwon and Donghae with one of Taiwan's most adored actresses Ivy Chen.

Skip Beat is about Nikki (Ivy Chen) who sacrificed her university life in order to support her childhood friend and romantic goal Sam (Lee Donghae) in his pop idol career. 

However, when she learned that she's just been used by the guy, the Nikki decided to enter the entertainment world and become a bigger star to get back at him. In her journey to stardom, she will meet top star Kean (Choi Siwon) who will motivate her to become even better.

Skip Beat premieres Monday (February 24) 5:15 pm on ABS-CBN Kapamilya Gold replacing Princess Hours. Watch the Skip Beat ABS-CBN full trailer below.

Certified Asian superstars Siwon and Donghae of Super Junior are now Kapamilya with one of the most adored Taiwanese actresses Ivy Chen. The three will star in the latest ABS-CBN Asianovela Skip Beat.

Skip Beat (also known as Extravagant Challenge) is a Taiwanese television drama based on the manga of the same name by Yoshiki Nakamura. A joint production between Taiwan and Japan, the live action adaptation stars Korean celebrities Choi Siwon and Lee Donghae of Super Junior.

Skip Beat is about a girl (Ivy Chen) who sacrificed her university life in order to support her childhood friend and romantic goal (Lee Donghae) in his pop idol career.

ABS-CBN has already started airing teasers for this upcoming kilig Asianovela. Since boy band members were cast, they also performed the show's theme song. Super Junior-M (a subgroup of Suju singing in Mandarin) did the opening theme titled S.O.L.O (Glamorous Solo Show) while Donghae and Henry sang the ending theme That's Love.

Skip Beat is slated to air this February 24 on ABS-CBN Kapamilya Gold, replacing Princess Hours which is now on its last two weeks.

Siwon and Donghae Bench Billboard, Erected!

Super Junior's Siwon and Donghae had already their very first Bench billboard installed in EDSA near Quezon Avenue. The two Suju members, Choi Siwon and Lee Donghae signed up with global clothing brand Bench last March to join the ever-growing family of Bench international endorsers like Bruno Mars, David Archuleta and Lucy Hale.
