Cedric Lee Breaks Silence on Vhong Navarro Case; Insisted Vhong is a Rapist

Businessman Cedric Lee finally aired his side regarding the mauling incident that happened on January 22 inside a condo in Taguig concerning him and comedian-host Vhong Navarro.

Cedric Lee is tagged by Vhong as among the men who beat him up, particularly the first one who pointed a gun at him when he visited Deniece Cornejo in her condo at The Fort.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Monday, Cedric Lee insisted that Vhong Navarro attempted to rape Deniece. According to him, his group was supposed to go out with Deniece and pick her up late on January 22 when they heard her screaming inside her unit.

When they found out that the front door was unlocked, Cedric's group went inside and found a man [Vhong] allegedly naked and forcing himself to Deniece, who is fighting off.

"Ang instinct ko, I grabbed him from the back at hinila ko pababa ng kama. Si Deniece ay tumakbo sa sister ko at inilabas na siya sa condo unit. Naiwan dun sa loob ng condo ay ako at ‘yung lalaki na di ko pa kilala ay si Vhong," Cedric Lee recalled.

"Gusto namin siya dalhin sa presinto pero nanuntok siya. Napagtulungan namin siya at nahila namin siya sa sala. Pilit namin siyang pini-pin down para maaresto siya at madala sa presinto. Nanuntok siya. Napilitan namin siyang suntukin at naupakan namin siya. Nagkabasag-basag ang mukha niya," Lee added.

He also admitted that they tied Vhong with a duct tape to prevent him from escaping while they were calling the police. He said that Vhong later on admitted to them that he tried to rape Deniece and pleaded with them not to take him to the police because it will damage his career.
