Vhong Navarro's Lawyer to Roxanne Cabanero's Camp: 'Hindi ako tanga. Ano 'to, lokohan?'

Atty. Alma Mallonga, the lawyer of actor Vhong Navarro criticized the camp of Roxanne Cabanero for claiming that they did not mention a specific date of the alleged rape in the sworn affidavit submitted by Cabanero.

In an interview with Buzz ng Bayan which aired on Sunday, Atty. Mallonga said that she's not buying the alibi of Atty. Virgilio Batalla, Cabanero's lawyer, who said that they did not specify a date in Roxanne's complaint affidavit.

"Tingin ko, napako sila. May lumabas na mga ebidensya. Ngayon, nag-aadjust sila. Pero huwag mo sasabihin na 'yung reklamo nila, puwedeng anytime from April 24 to 27. Hindi 'yun totoo. Hindi kami bulag. Nabasa ko, hindi ako tanga, naintindihan ko ang nakalagay doon," she said.

In the complaint-affidavit, which was signed by Cabanero and Assistant City Prosecutor Richard Parras, it was specified that the alleged rape happened on "April 24, 2010 in Pasig City, near Astoria Hotel."

Atty. Virgilio Batalla earlier denied that his client's complaint-affidavit mentioned the specified date and said that the alleged rape incident happened anytime from April 24 to 27 in 2010. The change came after Vice Ganda confirmed that on the specified date and time of alleged rape, Vhong Navarro was with him in a concert at Island Cove resort in Cavite.

According to Atty. Mallonga, the sudden change of statements is an indication that Roxanne Cabanero's camp is lying.

"Hindi ito biro. Nanumpa ka, napaka-espesifico mo sa oras, panahon at lugar. Ano 'to lokohan? Lumabas ka sa media, nag-iiyak ka, siniraan mo si Vhong, tapos ngayon 'ay sorry, nakalimutan ko, hindi iba pala, mali ang nasabi ko,'" said Atty. Mallonga.

Vhong Navarro's camp is now set to file libel and perjury cases against Roxanne Cabanero. They are also finalizing the same complaint against Deniece Cornejo, who also changed statements saying that she was raped twice (read more here).

Atty. Lorna Kapunan on Deniece Cornejo Case: 'Wag naman natin babuyin ang batas'

Atty. Lorna Kapunan was interviewed on Buzz ng Bayan aired Sunday (March 2) to enlighten the audience about the Deniece Cornejo's revelation of being raped by Vhong Navarro twice.

"Hindi ka pwedeng magpalit-palit ng storya. Ang huwes, ang judge ay hindi na maniniwaa sa iyo unless may reasonable explanation kung bakit nagpalit ng storya, kagaya ng traumatized o selective memory. Wag naman natin babuyin ang batas, kasi ang kailangan lang malaman ng tao kung ano yung totoo at yung dapat parusahan ay parusahan na," said Atty. Kapunan.

Deniece Cornejo Changes Statement, Says Vhong Navarro Raped Her Twice

Model Deniece Cornejo revealed that Vhong Navarro raped her twice. According to her, the comedian violated her on the 17th of January then it was followed on the 22nd, the day Vhong was mauled by the group of Cedric Lee.

"I initially did not say anything about the rape on the 17th because I was very ashamed about it. I did not want everyone to know that Kuya Vhong had entered me and had forced himself upon me," Deniece Cornejo said in her counter-affidavit submitted Friday.

In her first sworn affidavit, Deniece said that Vhong raped her on January 22 which was seen by Cedric Lee and group, the reason they mauled the comedian. It was also the day they brought Vhong to the police station to file for a blotter.

However, Vhong Navarro in his sworn statement revealed that Deniece gave him a pleasure down there during their meeting on January 17. According to Vhong, Deniece texted her after the incident saying 'bad boy ka' to which Vhong replied 'bawi ako next time.'

Vhong then received 'sweetie' messages from Deniece, who according to the comedian wanted to meet him again at once but Vhong was busy then so he scheduled it on January 22.

According to Deniece, she was forced to divulge the alleged rape on January 17 because Vhong lied saying that she voluntarily gave him oral. She also said that the CCTV footage given to the NBI was "unauthenticated, evidently tampered and altered."

Meanwhile, Vhong's lawyer Atty. Alma Mallonga, said it was clear that Deniece Cornejo lied in her counter-affidavit and that Deniece's admission on the alleged January 17 rape will damage her credibility.

Cedric Lee to Deniece Cornejo: 'Ang sarap mo kasing rape-in'

Businessman Cedric Lee explained on Friday the CCTV video which caught him kissing Deniece Cornejo inside the elevator hours after his group mauled Vhong Navarro in Forbeswood Heights condominium in Taguig.

In a statement Cedric Lee gave to the media on Friday after the preliminary investigation at the DOJ on the cases filed by by Vhong Navarro, (which was attended by both Lee and Cornejo together with Bernice Lee and bodybuilder Zimmer Raz), Cedric claimed that he just kissed Deniece in jest, saying that she was "delicious enough to be raped." "Wala talaga, kaibigan ko lang iyun... parang nakipag-harutan lang ako sa kanya. Parang binibiro ko siya na 'ang sarap mo kasing rape-in eh.'"

In a previous interview, Cedric Lee admitted that he kissed Deniece in the cheeks just to comfort her. He added that it was normal for them to kiss like that since they're friends and what happened that night was just 'harutan' or playful kiss between him and Cornejo. 

Cedric Lee also insisted that he has no romantic relationship with Deniece, saying that a girl like Deniece who has a somewhat chubby body was not his type.

In another interview, Deniece Cornejo said that the kiss was nothing but an innocent gesture and it's just a manner of thanking Cedric Lee and other friends who helped her clean up the condo unit where the mauling incident happened.

Lee on Friday, also expressed his ill feelings towards ABS-CBN Channel 2 which according to him did things to make him bad in the eyes of the public (watch the video here).

Although the cases filed by Vhong Navarro against Lee et al. were already submitted for resolution, a hearing at the DOJ will still be done on February 28 since other persons involved like Jed Fernandez, JP Calma and other John Does are yet to give their counter affidavits.

Vhong Navarro in Vice Ganda's Concert the Night He Allegedly Raped Roxanne Cabanero?

Comedian Vhong Navarro's alleged new rape victim Roxanne Cabañero y Acosta mentioned in her sworn affidavit that she was raped by the It's Showtime host on the night of April 24, 2010. She also said that she met Navarro on the ABS-CBN noontime show when they guested as contestants of Slimmer's World Miss Bikini Philippines the same day.

According to Roxanne, a staff got her number for Vhong and later in the afternoon, she received a text message from the comedian who suggested that they meet at her hotel room in Pasig. However, Roxanne refused so Vhong picked her up at the hotel around 10:30 to 11:30 pm of April 24.

The rape, according to Roxanne, happened inside Vhong's car which was parked under a shaded tree a few meters away from the hotel. She said she can't leave the car even if she wanted to because she was afraid of Vhong and his bodyguards/driver who were just waiting outside.

Meanwhile, there are reports that Vhong Navarro was a guest in Vice Ganda's concert the night of April 24 along with Calla Lily's Kean Cipriano and the Streetboys. The said concert allegedly happened at the Island Cove in Cavite. Posters and press releases from the organizers said that the concert starts at 8 pm.

A video which was uploaded on YouTube showed that Vhong Navarro was indeed in the concert scene, which according to some ended at past midnight, basing on Kean Cipriano's tweet posted 2:20 am of April 25 which reads, "just got home from island cove. congrats VICE GANDA and Vhong. you guys are the best!"

Many netizens dismissed the possibility of the rape since Vhong was seen at the concert the night (and perhaps the time) Roxanne said she was raped and it was impossible that he flew from Cavite to Pasig just to do the act. They compared it with the alleged 'one-minute rape' of Deniece Cornejo.

Vhong Navarro and his camp are yet to confirm whether the comedian really had a guesting in a concert held April 24, 2010. Kean Cipriano and Vice Ganda are also yet to released statements about this latest evidence.

Roxanne Cabanero: Vhong Navarro's Alleged New Rape Victim is Former Bb. Pilipinas Candidate

After Deniece Cornejo, here comes another self-confessed rape victim of actor/host Vhong Navarro. Atty. Virgilio Batalla named the victim as Roxanne Cabañero y Acosta.

Roxanne Cabanero filed a rape complaint against Vhong Navarro on Wednesday at the Pasig City Prosecutor's Office. According to her lawyer, Roxanne was raped by Vhong in 2010 and decided to file a case now after learning that Deniece Cornejo has filed the same complaint against the comedian.

Roxanne Cabanero, the 24-year-old Venus Raj dead ringer is a graduate from a University in Cebu and has joined several pageants representing Cebu and her hometown Davao. She joined Miss Resorts World 2010 and Miss Bikini Philippines. Her supposed biggest pageant was Bb. Pilipinas 2011 if not for a controversy that led to her disqualification.

According to reports, Roxanne was disqualified from the roster of Bb. Pilipinas official candidates due to alleged nude photos which surfaced online. Roxanne has since denied that she was the girl in the controversial photo and even sought the help of NBI to identify the blogger who uploaded the photo.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Cabanero said that she she was asked by a BPCI lawyer to just drop from the competition, which she found unfair as she was the victim of the incident.

Roxanne Cabanero is on the spotlight once again after filing a rape case against Vhong Navarro. According to her lawyer, Cabanero approached him five days after the Vhong Navarro-Deniece Cornejo controversy erupted (read more here).

Roxanne Cabanero Files Rape Case vs Vhong Navarro

As expected by Vhong Navarro's camp, another woman filed a rape case against the It's Showtime host. A certain Roxanne Cabanero y Acosta, believed to be disqualified Bb. Pilipinas 2011 candidate Roxanne Cabanero, formalized the complaint February 19 at the Pasig City Prosecutor's Office.

In a phone interview on Aquino and Abunda Tonight on Wednesday night, Roxanne's legal counsel Atty. Virgilio Batalla said the alleged rape took place in 2010. (Watch the interview here)

"Ang biktima po ng rape ay may 20 taon para mag-file ng kaso. At ang kliyente ko ay 4 na taon lamang (pagkatapos noong nangyari), kaya hindi gaano katagal iyon," the lawyer said.

Atty. Battalla  is the chairman of Lingap Pinoy Foundation which gives free legal services to those who can't afford a lawyer. According to him, Roxanne had the guts to file the case today because she was inspired by Deniece Cornejo, and felt that the rape can happen again if tolerated.

Meanwhile, Vhong Navarro's lawyer, Atty. Alma Mallonga downplayed the new rape complaint and said that the allegations are irrelevant and not unexpected because some weeks ago, Cedric Lee already pointed out talking to some women who are also alleged victims of Navarro. (Watch the interview here)

"Gusto lang namin sabihin na kahit naman sino ay puwede mag-kaso. Ang tanong ay kaya mo ba patunayan iyung paratang? May ebidensya ka ba?" Atty. Mallonga said in a separate interview on Aquino and Abunda Tonight.

Atty. Mallonga also responded to what Roxanne's lawyer said that the new case was inspired by Deniece Cornejo's allegations against Vhong.

"If you're saying that you were inspired by the rape complaint of Deniece, alam na natin na hindi iyun nangyari. Impossible dahil nakita natin sa ating dalawang mata na hindi iyon nangyari, that you cannot rape who was not there. You cannot witness a rape when the victim is not even there," she said.

According to Atty. Mallonga, Vhong is aware of the new rape complaint and this made him more determined to fight for truth and justice.

Atty. Raymond Fortun Resignation as Cedric Lee's Spokesman (Full Statement)

Atty. Raymond Fortun has tendered his resignation as spokesman for Cedric Lee who was among those implicated in the beating of Vhong Navarro last January 22 in a condo in Taguig. Watch video here.

The statement, which was sent to Lee care of his lawyer Atty. Howard Calleja, was also handed to ABS-CBN's Buzz ng Bayan on Sunday (February 16). Below is the full statement of Fortun:

Dear Cedric,

I had been engaged as your spokesman with the objective of being the media’s contact person in all legal as well as factual issues as may be consistent with the thrust of your legal counsels. In this regard, I had faithfully complied with this mandate for the past 12 days, even at peril to my own reputation as a lawyer.

Together with this mandate was an agreement that no statements shall by anybody from your group without the consent/approval of your counsels and/or spokesman. This has been breached last night.

My personal desire to help you notwithstanding the adverse publicity that you have been receiving is precisely to educate the public on the need to temper their emotions in light of your Constitutional rights to due process, to counsel of your choice, to present a valid and lawful defense, and to confront your accusers in the proper legal setting.

The past several days had made me realize that this country is NOT YET READY to accept these legal concepts, to which I squarely lay the blame on inaccurate reportage and the unprofessional actions of certain law enforcement agencies. That being the case and for the earlier reason mentioned, and in light of my inability to perform the functions for which I was hired, I regret that I must resign as your spokesman effective immediately.

Nonetheless, and in light of the lessons I have learned during my short stint as your spokesman, I will henceforth be devoting some of my time to: (i) ask congressmen to enact legislation so that ALL PERSONS who MAY be facing criminal prosecution be duly informed of their rights (e.g. to remain silent, to the presence of a lawyer etc.) before they are interviewed by TV networks.

People accused of crimes also have rights which need to be protected against media frenzy and unfair pre-judgments; and (ii) ask the Supreme Court to resolve the issues in respect of the Constitutionality of the Anti-Cybercrime Law, in order to address the matter of cyber-libels against Filipino citizens. People do have the right to express their opinions about issues, but such freedom does not grant a license to bully, hurl invectives or otherwise destroy one’s reputation without factual basis.

Atty Raymond Fortun has resigned as Cedric Lee's spokesman as of Sunday, February 16. This came after the CCTV footage showing Cedric Lee kissing Deniece Cornejo was released to the media.

In a letter addressed to Cedric Lee care of his lawyer Atty. Howard Calleja which was also handed to ABS-CBN's Buzz ng Bayan, Fortun said that he will no longer be Cedric Lee's spokesperson effective immediately. READ THE FULL STATEMENT HERE.

It can be recalled that Atty. Raymond Fortun said on his Facebook page that he enjoys handling the toughest cases and that he saw Cedric Lee as an underdog and was 'demonized' by the media. 

"Cedric Lee is, in my eyes, an underdog. Justice must be served but it must not be in accordance with the conductor's beat of someone along Panay Avenue. So I contribute my voice into this dispute not to twist the truth but to make sense of the madness," he said then.

As of this posting, the post of Atty. Fortun about Cedric Lee and the replies he made about the recent piece of evidence have been deleted on his Facebook page. However, in the letter addressed to Cedric Lee, Atty. Fortun wished him all the best in the case, adding that justice should prevail.

Deniece Cornejo on Cedric Lee Kiss: 'Walang malisya, pasasalamat ko lang yun'

Model Deniece Cornejo said that there is no malice on the kiss given to her by businessman Cedric Lee as seen in the CCTV footage inside the elevator released by the NBI recently.

According to Deniece, the kiss was nothing but an innocent gesture and it's just a manner of thanking Cedric Lee and other friends who helped her clean up the condo unit where the mauling incident happened.

The new CCTV footage released Thursday showed Cedric Lee immediately kissing Deniece Cornejo on both sides of her neck as soon as they got inside the elevator of Forbeswood Heights returning from the police station to file a blotter report on Vhong Navarro.

Lee's spokesman, Atty. Raymond Fortun, reacting on Facebook comments in his page about the new piece of evidence said, "Maybe it's just me, but it looks like the girl didn't even want to be kissed. Others will think otherwise." 

Fortun's replies, which include the lawyer finding Cedric Lee forcing himself to Deniece, were now deleted from his Facebook page.

In another CCTV footage presented during the preliminary investigation on Friday, it was revealed that 30 minutes before Vhong Navarro arrived at the condo on the day of the mauling incident, Cedric's sister Bernice Lee and two men (one allegedly body builder Zimmer Raz) were already there. The CCTV also captured Bernice going down without the two men.

Deniece Cornejo Request for TPO Denied; Rape Case Against Vhong Navarro for Resolution

The petition for a Temporary Protection Order (TPO) filed by model Deniece Cornejo was junked by the Taguig City Regional Trial Court on Friday for lack of merit. 

Deniece Cornejo's TPO petition which was filed last February 4 sought to order comedian Vhong Navarro from approaching Cornejo. This also includes a gag order which will prevent Vhong and the media to talk about the rape case.

TPO petition was dismissed by Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 69 Judge Loriefel Pahimna after a 30-minute hearing on Friday afternoon which was attended by Deniece Cornejo, her lawyer Atty. Howard Calleja and Vhong's lawyer Atty. Alma Mallonga.

"The petition seeks relief that is not really within the powers of the court to grant, which is a gag order against all tv stations, all social media, any third persons. The court, however, eventually ruled to dismiss the case on another basis," Atty. Mallonga told the press.

Atty. Mallonga later explained the decision of the court for dismissing the petition due to lack of basis under Republic Act 9262 (Violence Against Women and Children Law).

"There was no showing of any relationship between Vhong and Deniece under the law. Cases covered by the law involve women and their husbands, ex husbands, or those dating or with sexual relations. Base sa inihaing TPO, ang tanging binanggit na relasyon umano ni Deniece kay Vhong ay ang kaharasan na ginawa ng actor-host. Sabi ng korte, 'Hindi ito ang relasyong pinag-uusapan dito. Walang relasyon na masasakop ng batas.'"

Meanwhile, the DOJ has already submitted for resolution the rape case filed by Deniece Cornejo against Vhong Navarro. The preliminary investigation for the said case was closed by the all-female panel the same day the court denied Deniece's petition for TPO.

The next hearing will happen on February 21 and the DOJ required Cornejo to appear personally along with other names involved in the mauling of Navarro.

On Valentine's Day, the It's Showtime hosts each prepared a special love song for the madlang pipol and their loved ones for the opening number of the ABS-CBN noontime show. After the performances, the hosts expressed how much they missed Vhong.

Atty Raymond Fortun on Cedric-Deniece Kissing Video: 'Deniece doesn't want to be kissed'

Atty Raymond Fortun, spokesperson of the camp of Cedric Lee, belittled the new CCTV footage showing Cedric kissing Deniece inside the elevator hours after the Vhong Navarro mauling incident.

"Maybe it's just me, but it looks like the girl didn't even want to be kissed. Others will think otherwise. What matters is, again, what I PERSONALLY KNOW," said Fortun reacting to various comments on Facebook about the new CCTV video.

He also said that CCTV footage with Cedric kissing Deniece will not affect the case.

"First public statement of CL that they are just friends? As I said, it seemed that the girl didn't even want to be kissed. CL didn't even embrace her, nor did she embrace back. So... the kisses on the cheeks aside, it (won't) affect the case."

"I have met with DC (Deniece Cornejo) and CL (Cedric Lee) in a meeting and over dinner. Di ko nakita nor naramdaman na close sila. For me, this is another non-issue because it does not prove or disprove the parties' version of events that night," he added.

The CCTV video footage showing Deniece Cornejo being kissed by Cedric Lee on both sides of her neck was revealed by NBI on Thursday prior to the preliminary investigation the following day.

"I will NOT say that the CCTV lies. We all saw what we saw. And yes, I'm glad that you noticed that the big group was so relaxed when they went inside the elevator. So... Doesn't look like this group was heading for a fight, tama ba?" replied Fortun to another comment on his page.

According to reports, the said CCTV video footage showed what happens inside the elevator upon return of the group of Cedric Lee and Deniece Cornejo to the latter's condo after they have filed for a police blotter and not before the mauling incident.

Fortun is also objecting to the use of the word "passionately" to describe the kisses Cedric Lee gave to Deniece, who was all smiles while entering the elevator after the mauling incident on January 22.

"I would object to the use of the word 'passionately' then I would pull out the definition from the dictionary. Then I would pull my wife and kiss her in a passionate manner to prove my point. I expect to be sustained by the judge," he said.

Cedric Lee Kissing Deniece Cornejo in New CCTV Footage (Video)

Businessman Cedric Lee was caught kissing Deniece Cornejo inside the elevator in the new CCTV video footage released by the NBI. The said video was taken on January 22 at Deniece's condo.

The new CCTV footage showed Cedric Lee passionately kissing Deniece Cornejo on both sides of her neck inside the elevator of Forbeswood Heights after they have returned from the police station to file a blotter report on Vhong Navarro.

The video of Cedric and Deniece kiss is a proof that the two might be in a romantic relationship, contrary to what they said in interviews that they were just friends. However, Lee's spokesman, Atty Raymond Fortun belittled the new piece of evidence (read his reaction here).

Anothe CCTV footage also revealed that 30 minutes before Vhong Navarro arrived at the condo on the day of the mauling incident, Cedric's sister Bernice Lee and two men (one allegedly body builder Zimmer Raz) were already there. The CCTV also captured Bernice going down without the two men.

Deniece Cornejo 'Sweetie' Text Messages to Vhong Navarro Retrieved by NBI

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has already retrieved the messages sent by model Deniece Cornejo to comedian-host Vhong Navarro before the mauling incident on January 22 according to seasoned broadcast jounalist Tony Calvento.

In a Facebook post, Calvento said that the retrieved messages were true to what Vhong Navarro said and that Deniece was the one who invited Vhong to her condo. The "sweetie" message to Vhong was also there.

"The NBI has retrieved the messages that were deleted. True to everything that Vhong said the messages of 'sweetie' the invitation to go to condo were there. What was perplexing was the fact that after Vhong left the condo the group of Cedric came a few minutes after, missing Vhong by a hairline," Calvento posted.

According to the information given exclusively to the journalist, Vhong left Deniece's condo a little past one in the morning when he first visited the 22-year-old model on January 17. Calvento also said that Vhong stayed there for about two hours and if the comedian stayed a little longer, he could've met Cedric Lee and the guys and probably be beaten right that instant.

"Who informed them (Lee and company)? The guard? Deniece?" Calvento asked upon learning that Cedric Lee and a group of guys (different from the ones seen on the mauling incident) also went to the condo during Vhong's first visit.

Calvento said that the CCTV footage, the text messages and other pieces of evidence will be submitted on Friday during the next preliminary investigation. He also added that these could bolster the fact that Vhong was being set up after several text messages had been sent to him after that night.

In Vhong Navarro's interview, he said that after he left Deniece's condo on the 17th, he started receiveing text messages from the model including the ever famous 'bad boy ka'.

Vhong Navarro Seeks Forgiveness on Buzz ng Bayan Interview (February 9) - Video

Comedian-host Vhong Navarro asked for forgiveness from his girlfriend of six years, Tanya Winona Bautista, after his "unfaithfulness" following the incident that happened between him and model Deniece Cornejo.

"Gusto ko lang sabihin sa kanya na paulit-ulit, I’m really really sorry. I’m really really sorry and maraming maraming salamat sa pagbibigay ulit ng pangalawang pagkakataon, sa sobrang pagmamahal at pag-aalaga niya sa akin. Salamat at mahal na mahal ko siya," he said.

Vhong also apologized to his two sons because he knew that they wanted to spend this time with him but he can't do that out of his recent involvement with the mauling incident.

Vice Ganda One Minute Dance Craze (Spoof of Deniece Cornejo's Hand Movements), Big Hit in Social Media

On Friday (February 7), comedian Vice Ganda once again created a spoof of Deniece Cornejo but this time, he focused mostly on the hand movements of the model on her recent interview with GMA-7's Startalk. [Video: Vice Ganda Spoofs Deniece Cornejo Startalk Interview]

Vice Ganda danced to the tune of Feel this Moment by Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez imitating Deniece Cornejo's preaching hand movements. The comedian drew laughter from the madlang pipol and his It's Showtime co-hosts.

"Lagyan mo ng tawag para mauso talaga, para mag-trending," Kuya Kim Atienza told Vice Ganda, who replied: "Para mag-trending? Trending? Kapag ako ang mapahamak, trending din ako" followed by another sample on the dance.

Jugs asked "Anong tawag?" and Vice said, "That's what you call the One Minute Dance Craze." 

The newest dance craze instantly became a hit and trended on micro-blogging site Twitter shortly after Vice Ganda's spoof with the hashtags #oneminutedancecraze and #1minutedancecraze making it to the top trending local topics.

On Saturday's show, Vice Ganda asked hurado Dennis Padilla (his name sometimes pronounced by Vice as Deniece) to do the One Minute Dance Craze [CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE VIDEO].

"Hindi pa kita nakikitang gumawa nung One Minute Dance Craze eh. Deniece, ay Dennis patinging naman ng One Minute Dance Craze Mo," requested Vice and Dennis danced to the tune of Feel This Moment.

After Dennis' performance, Vice quipped, "Perfect na perfect mo! Effortless."

In a recent interview with ABS-CBN News, Vice Ganda explained that he has been making jokes about Vhong Navarro and the mauling incident because it was Vhong's request to make him laugh.

Vhong Navarro Exclusive Interview by Korina Sanchez (Video)

Actor-host Vhong Navarro had an exclusive interview with TV Patrol anchor Korina Sanchez which aired February 6. The interview was made after Vhong was released from the hospital on Thursday, following the mauling incident which happened January 22 inside Denice Cornejo's condo.

According to Vhong, he was hesitant to go to the hospital and break his silence after the incident because he feared for his life and his family. He said that he drew strength from manager Chito Roño, his girlfriend Tanya and the public to pursue the case.

What Vhong learned from this incident: "Don't just trust anyone and be faithful."
