The Philippines clinched 13 nominations at the 17th Asian Television Awards (ATA) 2012 with ABS-CBN getting 6 nods while GMA-7 and TV-5 each got 3 nominations. For the complete list of nominees, click here.
The Awards comprise over 30 categories and represent the industry's foremost recognition by enjoying the support of every major industry player throughout the region. ATA attracts a multitude of entries from a wide range of broadcasters, including free-to-air television stations and pay-TV platforms, as well as many independent production houses in Asia.

If we are to include Filipino actor Athur Acuña's nomination as Best Actor in a Supporting Role for The Kitchen Musical, then the Philippines will have 14 nods all in all. However, the said series is produced by a Singaporean-based network, AXN-Asia.

Last year, ABS-CBN's The Bottomline With Boy Abunda won as Best Talk Show while the theme song of TV-5's Star Confessions "Ikaw Ang Buhay Ko" won the the Best Theme Song.
The winners of the 17th Asian Television Awards will be announced during the Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner in December 6 at the Singapore Shangri-La Hotel.
