Binibining Pilipinas 2014 Winners

The grand coronation of Binibining Pilipinas 2014 pageant happened Sunday, March 30 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. This is the 51st year of the pageant and one of the most-anticipated because of the Philippines' winning streak in the international arena.

Miss Universe Philippines 2013 Ariella Arida, Binibining Pilipinas-International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago, Binibining Pilipinas-Tourism 2013 Cindy Miranda and Binibining Pilipinas-Supranational 2013 Mutya Datul crowned their successors at the end of the event. The 40 candidates also vied for the Binibining Pilipinas-Intercontinental crown.

The event was hosted by Anne Curtis and Xian Lim with former queens Venus Raj, Shamcey Supsup and Janine Tugonon. The coronation night was also graced by Russian pop star Emin, Miss Universe president Paula Shugart and reigning Miss Universe 2013 Gabriela Isler, who served as one of the judges.

Mutya Datul Wins Miss Supranational 2013 (Video)

The Philippines' very own Mutya Johanna Datul was crowned Miss Supranational 2013 in a glittering ceremony held at the Sports Palace, Minsk, Belarus on Friday, September 6 (Saturday morning in Manila).

Mutya Datul bested over 80 contestants of the annual pageant, including fellow Filipinas Suzzette Hernandez (who represented Canada) and Marie Molo Peter (who represented Norway), to become the first Asian to win the Miss Supranational title. Aside from the title and the crown, the 21-year-old Isabela native also brought home US$25,000.

Early in the competition, Mutya Datul won the Miss Supranational Personality award. She will be welcomed as the country's new queen on Monday, September 9.

The grand coronation of Binibining Pilipinas 2013 pageant happened Sunday, April 14 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Dubbed as Binibining Pilipinas Gold, the pageant celebrates 50 beautiful years. 

Miss Universe Philippines 2012 Janine Tugonon, Binibining Pilipinas-International 2012 Nicole Schmitz, and Binibining Pilipinas-Tourism 2012 Katrina Dimaranan crowned their successors at the end of the event. In line with its 50th anniversary, 50 candidates also vied for the most-coveted crowns and the chance to represent the country in the international arena.

The Search is On for the Next Bb. Pilipinas (2013) | Application Requirements

The Bb. Pilipinas 2013 search is on! Accept the challenge and be the next Miss Universe Philippines, Bb. Pilipinas - International and Bb. Pilipinas - Tourism.

Qualifications:

• A single lady, 17 to 25 years old
• A Filipino citizen, at least 5’6” in height with pleasing personality
• At least a high school graduate and of good moral character

Apply now! You might be the next beauty to represent the Philippines in the international arena. Application forms can be downloaded at the Bb. Pilipinas official website or you can just simply download it here. Submit the following requirements upon application:

• Original birth certificate (authenticated by NSO)
• Certified true copy of high school diploma
• Philippine passport (if any)
• Close-up and full body photos
• Written consent from parents if 17 years of age

Applicants are encouraged to submit their forms at the BPCI / Uniprom Office located near the Red Gate of Smart Araneta Coliseum, at The Araneta Center.

Deadline for submission is on January 15, 2013.

Philippines' Elaine Kay Moll 3rd Runner Up in Miss Supranational 2012

Miss Philippines Elaine Kay Moll had a 4th place finish (3rd runner up) in the 2012 Miss Supranational pageant held in Warsaw, Poland. Elaine Kay Moll is the Philippines' first representative to the said pageant.

The grand coronation night of the Poland-based pageant was held September 14 and Miss Belarus Ekaterina Buraya was crowned Miss Supranational 2012 in the 4th edition of what was dubbed as the world's fastest-growing pageant. Poland's very own Monika Lewczuk crowned her successor at the finals night.

The Philippine franchise for Miss Supranational was reportedly acquired by BPCI prior to its holding this year's pageant. However, the Bb. Pilipinas-Supranational crown was not given. Elaine Kay Moll, the first runner up of Bb. Pilipinas 2012 was handpicked by the organizers to participate in Miss Supranational.

Elaine is the first Bb. Pilipinas 2012 beauty to be fielded in an international pageant and this is quite a good start for the country. The Philippine representative to Miss World, Queenierich Rehman also did well, landing in the Top 15 and making world headlines with her beatboxing skills.

Kudos to Elaine Kay Moll. Going up there without much preparations and landing in the top 5 out of 53 candidates is a great achievement. You make us all proud!

Binibining Pilipinas 2012 Grand Coronation night happens tonight, April 15 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Hosted by Xian Lim, Iza Calzado, Venus Raj and Georgina Wilson, the pageant night airs via ABS-CBN.

Bb. Pilipinas 2012 To Give Away 4 Crowns This Year!

The Philippines' longest running national pageant is reportedly handing down 4 crowns in the 2012 edition of Binibining Pilipinas. Aside from Bb. Pilipinas-Universe, Bb. Pilipinas-International and Bb. Pilipinas-Tourism (which debuted last year) titles, the said pageant will now give a 4th crown namely Bb. Pilipinas-Supranational.

According to sources, BPCI had acquired the franchise last March 7, 2012 and based on the report from the Global Beauties website, the world's leading pageant site, 4 titles will be awarded this year. The site wrote:

The 30 contestants of Binibining Pilipinas 2012 have been busy with a packed schedule of official activities, since the start of the annual pageant which kicked off last February. Public appearances, fashion shows and even a talent showcase are only part of the road to the biggest beauty event in the Philippines. 

The grand finale, to be held at the Araneta Coliseum on April 15th, will witness the victory of four winners: 

-Bb. Pilipinas-Universe (to Miss Universe 2012 in December)
-Bb. Pilipinas-International (to Miss International 2012, in Chengdu, China, in November)
-Bb. Pilipinas-Tourism (to Tourism Queen International 2012 in China, in October)
-Bb. Pilipinas-Supranational (to Miss Supranational 2012 in Poland, in September)

It will be a good news for pageant fanatics as the country will have a great deal on this ever-growing pageants in the international arena. With the departure of Miss World franchise from the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI), the organization had acquired the franchise for Miss Tourism Queen International last year and now, Miss Supranational.

Miss Supranational had its roots in Poland. A very young pageant which started in 2009, it is now the fastest-growing Grand Slam pageant with delegates increasing at a rapid rate (from 36 in 2009 to 70 in 2011).

Bb. Pilipinas 2012 Grand Coronation Night will happen on April 15, 2012 at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum and will have its telecast on ABS-CBN Channel 2.
