Half-Indian and Half-Filipino Parul Shah, 25, is a registered nurse from Pangasinan. This is her second time to join Binibining Pilipinas, and she believes that this year people will see a better and stronger Parul.
“You know what they say, when it’s a comeback, it’s more exciting. I really prepared for this. I worked on my weaknesses. I got this second chance and I am going to work harder,” Parul said.
Apart from her Binibini preparations last year, Parul also took the time to volunteer for relief operations in Bohol and Tacloban, and considers this experience as one of the best things that happened to her so far.
“Helping them made me feel grounded, No matter what happened, I see in each and everyone in us that we didn’t lose hope. Hope was what kept us going even through calamities. The calamity opened my eyes to see the bigger picture in life,” she said.
Parul loves cooking, playing volleyball, and surfing. She has also dabbed in hair styling. She is fluent in Hindi, Arabic, Gujarati, Ilocano, Filipino and English. This girl hopes to represent the Philippines at the Miss Tourism Queen International pageant.
Chase it, Parul!
