National TV Ratings (January 24): Got to Believe Maintains High Ratings; It's Showtime Still a Winner

ABS-CBN's Got to Believe has maintained high ratings from the time the KathNiel series opened its second chapter. It now ranks 2nd to Honesto with a national TV ratings of 28.8%. Meanwhile, It's Showtime also maintained a wide lead over rival Eat Bulaga.

Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla's Got to Believe hit its highest rating this year (29.3%) after the series opened its new chapter, a two-year skip in the storyline. Meanwhile, Honesto regained TV ratings of more than 30% nationwide.

Got to Believe Chapter 2 Trailer: Joaquin Has Amnesia; Chichay is Heartbroken

ABS-CBN's Got to Believe is getting more and more exciting as the show enters its second chapter. This time, Joaquin (Daniel Padilla) and Chichay (Kathryn Bernardo) will find their way in another country. However, a new twist will have them fall apart after Joaquin's surgery to remove the stray bullet in his head.

Chichay, who was also in Singapore saw Joaquin in a park, looking his best with an orchid bouquet in his hand. Chichay called out to him. However, Joaquin seemed to not remember Chichay anymore. What's more heartbreaking is that Joaquin has a newfound love (Liza Soberano).

Is Joaquin only pretending to not know Chichay or is he really having amnesia after the operation? If the magic fades away, would you still believe? Don't miss the opening of the second chapter of Got to Believe, this January on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida.

Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla 'Holding Hands While Sleeping' Photo, Scripted

Teen King Daniel Padilla clarified the rumors that he and Got to Believe co-star Kathryn Bernardo are already a couple after a picture of them holding hands while sleeping was uploaded on Instagram.

The said photo has since became viral after being posted by Got to Believe director Cathy Garcia-Molina in her Instagram account. Captioned "Wawa naman mga bago kong anak... bagsak," the said photo made the fans excited more specially that Daniel recently confirmed that he and Kathryn were exclusively dating.

However, Daniel Padilla revealed that the said photo, which was supposedly taken after a taping for the said Kapamilya series, was scripted.

"Kinuha ni direk Cathy 'yun. Sinadya 'yun," Daniel said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

Daniel and Kathryn remained to be the hottest teen stars of today with their show being one of the most-watched programs nationwide. There's no doubt that the two have already gained a strong following, considering the successes of their projects, including their recent movie Pagpag which is an entry to the 2013 MMFF.

Daniel and Kathryn are currently in Singapore for the taping of Got to Believe, which has been extended. Fans can expect a lot more twists in the top-rating show.

ABS-CBN noontime show It's Showtime and it's afternoon block Kapamilya Gold are consistently beating rival program and blocks. On Thursday (January 9), It's Showtime scored 12.9% TV ratings vs 11.3% of Eat Bulaga nationwide while Kapamilya Gold also won in the race.

Meanwhile, Primetime Bida is still the most-watched on primetime with leaders Honesto, TV Patrol, Got to Believe and Annaliza.

ABS-CBN Sweeps Top 15 Programs Nationwide from January to December 2013

ABS-CBN is no doubt the number 1 network in the country last year as it swept the list of top 15 most-watched programs nationwide from January to December 2013.

Original Pinoy superhero “Juan dela Cruz” leads the pack with an average national TV rating of 34.7%. It was followed by “Ina Kapatid Anak” (33.4%), “Princess and I” (31.1%), “Maalaala Mo Kaya” (30.7%), Wansapanataym (29.7%), and “Honesto” (28.3%).

“TV Patrol” remained as the viewers’ top choice for newscasts with an average national TV rating of 27.7%, or a ten point lead against GMA’s “24 Oras” (17.1%).
