Comedian Vice Ganda is confident that his conscience is clear regarding the alleged vote-buying in the recently concluded PMPC Star Awards for Movies. The issue was broken by Jobert Sucaldito, saying that Vice's Best Actor win was paid (read story here).
Speaking on It's Showtime Wednesday, Vice Ganda said that he's aware of the controversy hounding PMPC but just ignored it since he knew for himself that he didn't pay for the award (WATCH VIDEO HERE).
"Nung nabasa ko natawa lang ako, tapos tumahimik ako. Sabi ko ‘Kung kakausapin ko ang konsensya ko, ano kayang sasabihin ng konsensya ko sa akin?’ Sabi ng konsensya ko sa akin, ‘Kung nandaya ka, ibalik mo ang award. Kung hindi ka nandaya, yakapin mo ang award,’” Vice Ganda said before hugging his trophy.
On Tuesday, Philippine Movie Press Club, Inc. (PMPC), organizers of the Star Awards for Movies, already denied the said allegations (read PMPC's official statement here).
Vice Ganda has just returned from his highly successful “I-Vice Ganda Mo Ako sa Amerika” tour. The tour’s first show was held at the John Logan High School Pavilion last February 28 where Vice entertained the audience with special guests, heartthrob Ejay Falcon and comedy duo MC and Lassy.
The tour’s second show at the Los Angeles Theatre on March 1 also drew a huge turnout that Vice extended the show to three hours. The tour was presented by Happy Box, in cooperation with Redcheese Production, iOhmie Entertainment, and BG Productions.
