ABS-CBN noontime show It's Showtime continues to beat rival Eat Bulaga nationwide according to the TV ratings provided by Kantar Media/TNS. The Kapamilya program has been consistent for the past few months.

Meanwhile, Wansapanataym Christmas special truly captured the hearts of viewers as it now the leader in Saturday primetime. It was followed by MMK, Bet on Your Baby and TV Patrol Weekend. Check out the top 20 programs for December 13 and 14 below.

National TV Ratings (December 11-12): ABS-CBN Scores 8/10 Most-Watched Programs

ABS-CBN got 8 out of the top 10 programs on Wednesday, December 11 according to the data provide by Kantar Media/TNS. Included in the top 6 programs are Honesto, Got to Believe, TV Patrol, Annaliza, Maria Mercdes and Be Careful with My Heart.

Also in the top 10 are Princess Hours and It's Showtime, which is consistent in beating rival Eat Bulaga even in the December 12 (Thursday) ratings.

ABS-CBN's It's Showtime continues its winning streak against rival Eat Bulaga and once again hailed as the country's number 1 noontime show based on the TV ratings data provided by Kantar Media/TNS. The Kapamilya programs beats rival on Friday and Saturday.

Meanwhile, Wansapanataym Christmas Special is gaining momentum as the most-watched program on Saturdays followed by Judy Ann Santos' Bet on Your Baby which is beating her husband's show in the rival network, Picture Picture.

ABS-CBN Primetime Bida continues to rule national TV ratings according to Kantar Media/TNS. Based on its survey on Monday, December 2, Honesto and Got to Believe were the most-watched programs nationwide.

ABS-CBN garnered the Top 6 most-watched programs with 8 shows in the Top 10. It's Showtime and TV Patrol also remained as the number 1 noontime and primetime newscast in the country, respectively. Check out the Top 20 programs on Monday below.

Comedian Vice Ganda spoofed GMA news anchor Arnold Clavio on It's Showtime Wednesday during the noontime show's "Sine Mo 'To" segment, imitating Clavio's controversial interview with Atty. Alfredo Villamor.

On Tuesday, Arnold Clavio drew flak from netizens after his "rude" phone interview with Atty. Villamor, Janet Lim-Napoles' lawyer (watch the interview here) on the morning show Unang Hirit.

Vice Ganda can't help but get back at Clavio, who also accused him of being arrogant and rude after the latter's "rape joke" on Clavio's fellow broadcaster Jessica Soho during Vice's concert at the Araneta Coliseum.

ABS-CBN’s noontime show “It’s Showtime” has found a new hit in its newest beauty pageant for lesbians, “That’s My Tomboy” after its much successful look-alike competition “Kalokalike.”

During its pilot week, “That’s My Tomboy” dominated the list of trending topics worldwide on micro-blogging site Twitter by placing at the number one spot for six straight days. It remains talked-about on social media as it continues to search for charming and talented tomboys.

“That’s My Tomboy” puts the limelight on lesbians who dress and act like men, but ultimately goes beyond appearance as it puts together contestants for their talent, wit, and overall appeal.

Those who want to join “That’s My Tomboy” may audition from Mondays to Fridays, 3-6PM at the ABS-CBN Audience Entrance. Just bring valid IDs and look for Dan Josh Zacarias and Bing Ramos.

They can also audition online by sending their photos or videos to thatsmytomboy@yahoo.com.

'Nicki Minaj' Wins Kalokalike Face 2; It's Showtime to Launch 'That's My Tomboy'

Impersonator Jennifer Catuyong was hailed as the second Ultimate Kalokalike in ABS-CBN’s noontime show “It’s Showtime” after impressing the madlang people and the judges with her resemblance and flawless impression of the international recording artist’s antics.

As the Ultimate Kalokalike, Jennifer won P300,000 and a special artista package. Her win quickly made a massive buzz on social networking site Twitter and became one of its trending topics in the country and worldwide.

Placing as first runner-up and winning P200,000 is the Kalokalike of Apl de Ap, who also bagged the Picture Frame Award and won an additional P20,000 for being the most photogenic among the finalists.

Meanwhile, the Kalokalike of iconic comedy character Mr. Bean was named the second runner-up and received the Texters’ Choice Award for garnering the highest percentage of text votes from viewers. He brought home a total of P120,000.

The Kalokalikes of rapper Abra and singer Bamboo were also selected as runners-up, both winning P50,000 each. Abra Kalokalike took the Trending Award for the thousands of “likes” and positive feedback he’s been receiving online ever since joining the look-alike competition, while Bamboo Kalokalike got the BFF Award after being voted as the friendliest by his co-finalists.

The Kalokalike of “Twilight” hunk Taylor Lautner, meanwhile, failed to enter the Top 5 but still bagged the Kumarir Award for being the most improved contestant in terms of physique, appearance, and demeanor.

After Kalokalike, “It’s Showtime” will be launching a new segment that will showcase the talent and wits of lesbians in “That's My Tomboy.”

It's Showtime Kalokalike Face 2 grand finals happened Saturday, September 28 in the most awaited Kalokalike Ultimate Showdown and the kalokalike of Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Catayong was hailed as the winner.

From Monday until Friday (Sept 23-27), 34 kalokalike grand finalists battle each other from among the contenders, the Top 15 grand finalists were selected made to clash for the Ultimate Kalokalike title.

The kalokalike of Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Catayong received P300,000. The first runner-up, Apl de Ap kalokalike, Reginald Abrio and second runner-up Mr. Bean kalokalike, Michael Angelo Lasac, received P200,000 and P100,000, respectively. 

Rounding up the top 5 finalists were Abra kalokalike, Mark Anthony Sanchez and Bamboo kalokalike, Raymond John Alternado who each received P50,000. 

Special awards were also given, each winner bringing home P20,000. Here they are:

The look-alike contest of It’s Showtime became so popular among viewers and netizens that “Kalokalike Face 2” was launched immediately after its first run, which hailed Christopher De Leon look-alike Jonathan Garcia as the Ultimate Kalokalike last June.

From the 34 contenders, the Top 15 grand finalists will be selected and will be made to clash for the Ultimate Kalokalike title in the grand finals this Saturday (Sept 28). Tune in this week to get to know the stories behind the look-alikes and their inspiration to imitate their idols.

Who will emerge as the Ultimate Kalokalike and will win the P300,000 cash prize?

Meanwhile, “It’s Showtime” also invites groups that can render refreshing musical arrangements and tunes to compete in its newest segment “Jambunganga.”

Just create a group of five to 12 members and audition at the ABS-CBN Audience Entrance along Sgt. Esguerra St in Quezon City from Mondays to Fridays, 3-5PM and look for Heide Villanueva and Jonathan Maximo.

Auditionees should bring a valid ID and a copy of his or her birth certificate is he or she is younger than 14 years old.

It's Showtime Launches New Segment 'Jambunganga'

ABS-CBN’s noontime program “It’s Showtime” has launched its search for groups that can render refreshing musical arrangements and tunes to create entertaining music in its newest competition “Jambunganga,” which begins on Tuesday (Sept 17).

In the show’s Saturday (Sept 14) episode, the hosts introduced the contest by giving a special a capella performance of  Blackstreet’s hit song “No Diggity,” with Billy Crawford as lead vocalist, and Anne Curtis, Karylle, and Coleen Garcia providing back-up vocals.

They were accompanied by co-hosts Vice Ganda, Vhong Navarro, Jugs Jugueta, Jhong Hilario, Ryan Bang, and Eric ‘Eruption’ Tai who supplied the rhythm and beats and was conducted by Teddy Corpuz. Anne and Karylle also sang the track’s rap parts.

Meanwhile, “It’s Showtime” also named Cainta, Rizal’s dance group Rizal Underground as its first ever Bida Kabarkada grand champion for its unique and theatrical hiphop performance that earned the only standing ovation from the judges.

Rizal Underground ditched the explosive stunts to give a compelling interpretation of Philippine history’s remarkable events, such as the battle between Magellan and Lapu-Lapu and Gen. MacArthur’s return to Leyte.

With an overall score of 9.5, Rizal Underground was declared champion and won the P1 million cash prize.
