Ariel Rivera, Ynna Asistio, Marco Gumabao on MMK Family Drama (August 24)

Award-winning actor Ariel Rivera will make viewers cry this Saturday (August 24) in the upcoming family drama episode of “Maalaala Mo Kaya.” 

Ariel will play the role of Eddy, a father who has two families–one in Albay, while the second resides in Bacolod. How could a father forget about his first family with his children all hoping that he would help them out from poverty? 

Together with Ariel in the upcoming “MMK” episode are Sheryl Cruz, Trina Legaspi, Marco Gumabao, John Wayne Sace, Karen Reyes, JB Agustin, Joseph Bitangcol, Alfred Labatos, Marissa Sanchez, Matthew Mendoza, Jong Cuenco, Louella de Cordova, Celine Lim, Jed Montero, Erin Ocampo, Arnold Reyes, and new Kapamilya star Ynna Asistio. Edgar Allan Guzman Portrays a Closet Gay in MMK this September 22

Cinemalaya best actor Edgar Allan Guzman will portray the character of a closet gay in “Maalaala Mo Kaya” this Saturday (September 22). 

Ritche (Edgar Allan) dreamt of being a seaman to prove to everyone, especially to his father, that even though he is gay, he can still succeed in life. But because of the fear of being insulted and belittled by his classmates, Ritche decided not to show his true identity. How hard is it for a young man seeking for the society’s approval to come out of the closet? 

Aside from Edgar Allan, this week’s “MMK” will also feature Lito Pimentel, Jobelle Salvador, Eda Nolan, Ryan Boyce, David Chua, Bryan Homecillo, Art Mendoza, Joseph Bitangcol, and Quintin Alianza. It was researched by Akeem del Rosario, written by Benson Logronio, and directed by Nick Olanka.
