One of the artists who auditioned in The Voice of the Philippines made coach Bamboo cry during the Blind Auditions which aired on Saturday (June 22). The said artist was Lee Grane Maranan.
Lee Grane, a professional singer sang Freddie Aguilar's Anak for her Blind Auditions piece. She made coaches Sarah Geronimo and Bamboo turn their chairs with her singing style. However, it was her rendition of Sarah MacLachlan's Angel that touched the hearts of the coaches, Bamboo especially, and made the rocker burst into tears.
Lee Grane instantly became a worldwide trending topic on Twitter, reaching as high as number 2 and topping the list of trending topics in Twitter Philippines right after she performed.
Although Lee Grane acknowledged the fact that coach Sarah was the first to turn her chair, she eventually chose to be part of Team Bamboo (aka Camp Kawayan).
Viewers are now excited to see Lee Grane in the Battle Rounds and will now follow her journey to the finals, if ever she gets pass the tough competition.
Along with Lee Grane, other artists who also passed the Blind Auditions on The Voice of the Philippines Episode 3 (June 22) were Eva de los Santos, a 51-year-old mother from Cebu joining Team Sarah, singer-actor Guji Lorenzana and his sister Grace (duo) joining Team Apl, together with Sir Lord Lumibao, the 23-year-old band vocalist from Zamboanga.
