National TV Ratings (July 13-14): Angeline Quinto's MMK and The Voice PH Top Weekend Viewing

The MMK episode of Angeline Quinto is the most-watched program last weekend garnering a nationwide TV rating of 36.5%, even higher than Paulo Avelino's MMK the prior week. In the said episode, Angeline plays a clown to support her family.

Meanwhile, The Voice of the Philippines is truly a phenomenon sustaining its high TV ratings week by week. On Saturday, it ranked third after MMK and Wansapanataym while on Sunday, it was the most-watched program.

After almost a year, singer-actress Angeline Quinto is set to return to Asia’s longest-running drama anthology “Maalaala Mo Kaya” on Saturday (July 13).

In the upcoming heavy drama “MMK” episode, Angeline plays Ellah, a loving daughter who is willing to do everything for her family, especially when their father abandoned them for another woman. To make ends meet, Ellah has to work as a clown while studying, which tests her patience not only with kids but also with life’s struggles.

Paulo Avelino is Mute in MMK with Joem Bascon (July 6)

Award-winning actor Paulo Avelino returns to “Maalaala Mo Kaya” this Satuday (July 6) after almost two years since his first ever episode in the longest-running drama anthology in Asia.

In his second “MMK” stint, Paulo will portray, for the first time, a born mute character named Apaw, who was maltreated by his relatives. “This one is entirely different from my first ‘MMK,’ which was with KC Concepcion. It’s not a love story, but a touching tale of extraordinary courage and true friendship between my character Apaw and his bestfriend Dante,” explained Paulo, who will be joined in the episode by his “Walang Hanggan” co-actor Joem Bascon, who will play the role of Dante.

“It’s not just a simple story about a handicap person. It’s about the friendship between Apaw and Dante that will make viewers realize the importance of having a real friend who will never leave you amid life’s hardest trials,” Paulo further shared.

Together with Paulo and Joem in the upcoming “MMK” episode are Jewel Mische, Alma Concepcion, Ismael Clavero, John Vincent Servilla, Glenda Garcia, Tom Olivar, Jamila Obispo, Jerome Ventinilla, and Brace Henry Aquiza. Maalaala Mo Kaya replay episode of Arjo Atayde about the students of Mababoy Elementary School topped nationwide TV ratings on Saturday, June 29 beating Magpakailanman starring Jennylyn Mercado and Mark Herras.

Meanwhile, The Voice of the Philippines continues its winning streak ranking 3rd on Saturday and topping nationwide TV ratings on Sunday with 28% and 29.1%, respectively. Toy Story 3 on ABS-CBN topped TV rating on Sunday daytime followed by Sharlene San Pedro's entry in LUV U, beating ASAP 18 replay.

How will Precy deal with her sister’s betrayal after all that she did for Agnes? Will time be able to heal the pain caused by Agnes and Lando’s forbidden relationship?

Will Alex find it in her heart to forgive her mother for abandoning them?

Comedy Queen Ai Ai delas Alas goes heavy drama this Saturday (June 8) in  “Maalaala Mo Kaya.” as she will show how unconditional a family’s love can be in another remarkable MMK performance. Ai Ai will portray the role of a loving mother named Susana who loses her sanity due to the many difficult problems she has to deal with.

National TV Ratings (June 1-2): It's Showtime Hits 26.8%; MMK and PGT Finals Rule Weekend

ABS-CBN's It's Showtime has registered its highest nationwide TV rating since it was pitted with longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga. The Kapamilya program, which feature the Kalokalike finals on Saturday (June 1) got 26.8% versus Eat Bulaga's 13.2%.

Meanwhile, the MMK episode of Ella Cruz, Diego Loyzaga, Liza Soberano and Khalil Ramos ruled Saturday viewing with 36.3% followed by PGT 4 Grand Finals performance night with 30.6%.

Reminisce the feeling of falling in love for the first time as Kapamilya teen star Ella Cruz shares the story of a young teenage girl named Dua in “Maalaala Mo Kaya” this Saturday (June 1).

Well-acclaimed actresses Desiree del Valle and Andi Eigenmann will topbill “Maalaala Mo Kaya” this Saturday (May 25) as they take on the roles of cousins Jane (Desiree) and Lyka (Andi).

From being close buddies, the cousins’ relationship started to change when Jane discovered that Lyka was working as an escort girl. Despite their disagreements, Jane did everything to help Lyka choose the right path. However, Lyka’s life worsened even more as she became addicted to drugs and got impregnated by a family man. Can Jane still find it in her heart to give Lyka a second chance? Or will she finally give up on her?

National TV Ratings (May 4-5): Eat Bulaga Reclaims Lead; Enrique Gil's MMK Tops Weekend Viewing

Longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga won in national TV ratings on Saturday, May 4 against rival It's Showtime which dominated the ratings game for the past month. 

Eat Bulaga Saturday featuring the grand finals of That's My Boy garnered 15.9% rating nationwide according to Kantar Media, beating It's Showtime which registered only 12.5% rating.

Meanwhile, Maalaala Mo Kaya starring Enrique Gil portraying Juan Ponce Enrile topped Saturday viewing.  Pilipinas Got Talent did the same on Sunday.
