Broadway diva Lea Salonga cursed over artist Mitoy Yonting during the latter's Blind Auditions in The Voice of the Philippines which was aired Saturday (June 29).
Michael 'Mitoy' Yonting performed Didith Reyes' hit Bakit Ako Mahihiya for his auditions and in a few seconds, coach Lea Salonga immediately turned her chair for the artist. Mitoy is the vocalist of local band "The Draybers" which has a regular gig in Resorts World Manila.
Lea Salonga apologized in advance to director Johnny Manahan for what could be a rare cursing moment to express her admiration for Mitoy.
"[Bleep] Ang galing mo! Bihira lang lumalabas sa bibig ko ang ganyan! Ang galing mo, ang galing mo! Kung hindi mo 'ko pinili, iiyak ako! Wala akong makitang ano eh. Technically, laser [precision]," Lea Salonga exclaimed.
Other than Lea, coach Bamboo also turned his chair at the last moment and convinced Mitoy to be with his team. However, the 43-year-old band vocalist chose to be with Team Lea.
"'Yung respeto ko kay Sir Bamboo, ubod taas, parang saranggola 'yan, mataas na mataas ang paglipad. Pero patawarin mo ko, kuya. Pipiliin ko si Ms. Lea," Mitoy explained.
