Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao Reveals Encounter with Mama Mary in 'Hiwaga' this February 1

Broadcast journalist Atom Araullo traces the story of Dionisia Pacquiao, mother of renowned Pinoy boxer Manny Pacquiao, and gets to know the mysteries behind her strong faith in Jesus and the Virgin Mary this Friday (Feb 1) in “Pinoy True Stories: Hiwaga.”

Though many know that Mommy D is a devotee, her faith is not something she has formed overnight because when Manny was a child, she claimed that she had seen an apparition of the Holy Mother. She was diagnosed with leukemia then but after this encounter, her illness suddenly disappeared.

But the story doesn’t end there because years later, she was afflicted with an inexplicable disease which made her sleepless and bloated. Would her faith give in to this test? Or would it make her stronger?

Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao Fainted After Hearing Manny Pacquiao's Loss to Bradley

Pac-Mom, Mommy Dionesia Pacquiao fainted after she heard the news that son People's Champ Manny Pacquiao lost via split decision to Timothy Bradley.

Mommy D, as she was fondly called watched the fight in the US only once (but not inside the arena) and she 's always at home praying for his son's win.

Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao has asked Manny Pacquiao to retire from boxing but Manny would always want to fight for the country. His loss to Timothy Bradley might be a step for him to retire but we all know that a rematch is always the option, what with the boos and upset fans. In fact, Mommy D now wanted a Pacman and 'Desert Storm' Bradley rematch.

Pacquiao and Bradley's rematch, slated in November, will be another big boxing event to watch out for.

Anyway, Pacquiao is already a boxing superstar no matter what. The only boxer in history with 8 world championships under his belt, he is still the world's best fighter.
