Miami Heat Wins NBA Championship, Game Replay on Studio 23 at 9:30 PM

The Miami Heat won their 2nd NBA Championship trophy after beating the Oklahoma City Thunder 121-106 on NBA Finals Game 5, June 21 (June 22 in Manila). Miami Heat swept the last four games of the supposed best of seven series.

LeBron James, who won as finals MVP led the Heat with 26 points, 11 rebounds and a game-high 13 assists. Miami build a 25-point lead in the third quarter, pulling away from Oklahoma to seal the victor.

Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra made history for being the first Filipino-American coach to win a major league sports title in the United States. Spoelstra’s mother, Elisa Celino hails from San Pablo, Laguna. while his Dutch-Irish-American father, Jon Spoelstra, worked as an executive with various NBA teams.

The Miami Heat first won the NBA Finals last 2006 after defeating Dallas Mavericks on Game 6. Incidentally, Dallas Mavericks were the ones who beat them in last year's NBA finals.

The Game 5 of the NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and the Oklahoma City Thunder will be replayed on Studio 23 at 9:30 p.m.

Kantar Media (June 16-18) TV Ratings: MMK and Rated K on Top, NBA Dethrones Eat Bulaga

MMK's Father's Day episode starring Matt Evans is the most watched program last Saturday, June 16 according to ratings data provided by Kantar Media for the period June 16-18, 2012. On Sunday, Rated K remained on top.

Meanwhile, NBA Finals dethroned Eat Bulaga once more as the most-watched daytime program nationwide last June 18. ABS-CBN Primtime Bida is still unbeatable with Walang Hanggan, Princess and I, TV Patrol, Dahil Sa Pag-ibig and Aryana occupying the top 5 slots.

Kantar Media (June 13-15) TV Ratings: Princess and I Hits 39.7%

ABS-CBN's Royal teleserye Princess and I reached its highest TV rating to date of 39.7% last June 15 according to the nationwide data provided by Kantar Media/TNS for the period of June 13-15, 2012. Princess and I now came closer to the ratings of Walang Hanggan which surpassed the 40% ratings mark.

Meanwhile, Eat Bulaga is still the most-watched daytime program except on June 15 when NBA Finals took the no. 1 spot. Kapamilya Gold is also thinning the lead of GMA Afternoon Prime with Kung Ako'y Iiwan Mo as its banner program.
