Kristine Hermosa Pregnant with Second Baby

Actress Kristine Hermosa is expecting her second child with husband Oyo Sotto. The pregnancy news was confirmed by Oyo himself in an Instagram post Monday.

Oyo Sotto said that Kristine being pregnant again is another answered prayer. The actress has polycystic ovaries, an endocrine disorder which can affect a woman's hormone levels, menstrual cycle and ovulation, hence making it difficult for a woman to get pregnant.

"Thank you Lord for this wonderful blessing! We just want to share our short beautiful story of how amazing God is.. When 2014 started, we believed God for so many things.. One of those is to have another baby WITHOUT having to take any medication since Tin has policystic ovaries.. And now, God answered one of our top prayers.. To have another baby," Oyo posted on Instagram together with a sonogram photo. 

According to Oyo, Kristine is now on her 6th week of pregnancy and there are no signs of the disorder found in the ultrasound. 

"Tin is now on her 6th week!!!!! With NO signs of policystic ovaries!" Oyo said. "We are witnesses of how powerful prayers are. God hears them. :)," he added. 

Kristine Hermosa and Oyo Sotto had their firstborn Ondrea Bliss in December of 2011, a year after getting married. The couple also have a five-year-old adopted son named Kiel. Check one of the family's magazine covers here.

Although Kristine's pregnancy would mean longer time for her to return on TV, her fans are very much overjoyed with this new blessing in their idol's life. In fact, the couple's individual Instagram accounts were poured with congratulatory messages from friends and fans after the news came out.

Kristine Hermosa Raring for a Showbiz Comeback

Actress Kristine Hermosa has been absent from the limelight for more than two years now and with fans craving to see more of her on television, Kristine is as eager to return to acting. 

In a recent interview with Push.com, Kristine said that she's patiently waiting for the right project to come, something with a decent schedule, one that "hindi ko kailangang i-sacrifice yung time ko for my family. Yung hindi ako mawawalan ng oras for my children and for my husband and yung hindi stressful."

Kristine's last TV project was the teleserye Noah with Piolo Pascual and Zaijian Jaranilla were she played Diwatang Eva. The series ended as Kristine settle to become a dedicated wife to Oyo Sotto and later a mother to her kids, Kiel and Ondrea Bliss.

Kristine revealed that she wanted to do something light on television with possibly a twice-a-week taping schedule. She's skipping heavy drama because according to her, the genre drains too much energy and requires more time to rest, which she can't do being a hands-on wife and mom.

"Kasi ang tagal ko na ring ginagawa ito [drama] eh kaya ko naman ng iba. Kaya ko naman mag-action or comedy. Kaya naman eh, medyo nasanay lang kasi ang mga tao na yun ng yon ang ginagawa ko kaya yun ng yon ang hinahanap nila. Pero siguro kapag nakita naman nila ako sa iba [parang tatanggapin rin naman siguro nila ako]."

Kristine said that she missed acting so much and praying for the right project to come. 

"Let’s pray harder na meron na meron ng ibigay si God na katulad ng mga sinabi ko na light, happy lang, yung may matututunan sila talaga na hindi lang puro about love na drama-drama kasi ma-drama na nga yung buhay natin in real life so kailangan natin ng something to uplift us," she said.

"Pero if hindi pa right time at hindi pa binibigay ni God yung right time and right project, so I’ll be patient kasi siya yung masusunod."

Kristine Hermosa, Oyo Sotto and Kids on Smart Parenting Magazine June 2013

Kristine Hermosa, husband Oyo Sotto and kids Quiel and Ondrea Bliss grace the cover of Smart Parenting magazine June 2013 issue. Last year, the Sotto family also did a cover for Working Mom's June 2012 issue.

"We are not perfect parents but we make it a point to spend time with our kids everyday," Kristine and Oyo were quoted on the cover of the said magazine.

Kristine has been absent in the limelight for years now to focus on being a mother to now one-year-old Ondrea and their four-year-old adopted son Quiel. This year, it was reported that Kristine will stage her television comeback. As a teaser, Kristine appeared on the cover of MEGA magazine May 2013 issue and also had a guesting on ASAP's Mother's Day celebration.

Oyo Sotto, meanwhile is playing vampire in a Kapuso sitcom Vampire Ang Daddy Ko with his father Vic Sotto, the reason he is sporting that long hair.

Kristine Hermosa Stages Comeback on ASAP 18 with Kids Kiel and Ondrea Bliss (Video)

Actress Kristine Hermosa marked her much-awaited TV comeback with a performance on ASAP 18 on Sunday (May 12), as part of the concert variety program's Mothers' Day celebration. 

Kristine, who obviously has not aged a bit based on her looks, sang Bruno Mars' Count on Me alongside with son Kiel. She joined Vina Morales and Cheska Garcia-Kramer with their respective daughters.

While performing on ASAP stage, the camera kept on spanning on Kristine's husband, Oyo Sotto, who had with him their daughter Ondrea Bliss. According to reports, Kristine has just signed a contract with ABS-CBN and will have her comeback project soon.

Kristine Hermosa Drops 'Pangako Sa 'Yo' Remake; to Star in Imortal Sequel

Kristine Hermosa's television comeback will have to wait unless there is a good fitting project for the actress after she turned down the offer of ABS-CBN to do a remake of her teleserye Pangako Sa 'Yo.

According to reports, Kristine was advised by her husband Oyo Sotto not to accept the role since she and Jericho Rosales will be portraying the parents of lead stars, a role not fitting for the 29-year-old actress who certainly will not pass as the mother of either Yna or Angelo in the teleserye.

"Sabi ko sa kanya, 'Huwag na, hayaan mo na lang 'yung Pangako Sa 'Yo na as is, na iniwan n'yo sa mga tao na solid sa puso nila. Hanggang ngayon, sa Instagram, 'yung mga Malaysians, sinasabing 'Hi, we love Kristine and Jericho!'" Oyo said in a press conference for his sitcom with father Vic Sotto.

"Napag-usapan lang namin ni Tin na parang hindi maganda. Sabi ko, 'Bakit kayo 'yung ginawang nanay at tatay? Sabihin mo sa kanila, hindi maganda. Kasi, pasado ka pa naman na walang anak, eh!' "Di ba? Ako mismo, ayoko. Kasi, nanay ang role niya, eh," added Oyo.

Meanwhile, Oyo also told the press that Kristine will be doing webisodes for the sequel of Imortal which starred Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz. The project is said to be 90% sure and Kristine has already started training since she will be doing many action scenes.

Early reports also said that Jericho and Kristine have received offers to reunite in a series to be produced by a Malaysian company. Their tandem was a big hit in Malaysia after the phenomenal success of Pangako Sa 'Yo in that country.

Aside from Malaysia, the series was also successfully released in Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, and China. It also reached Ghana, Botswana, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia and Cameroon.

Pangako Sa 'Yo is also the very first Philippine teleserye to have a local version in other country, particularly Cambodia, the production of which will start this year.
