PHR Paraiso Finale Airs April 5; Paradise Ending for Brennan and Yanie

After going against the odds just to fight for their love, Brennan (Matteo Guidicelli) and Yanie (Jessy Mendiola) finally tie the knot and promise to love each other forever in the much-awaited finale of Precious Hearts Romances (PHR) presents Paraiso. 

The two relive the time when they first experienced paradise in each other’s arms and returned to the island where it all began. But evil still lurks through Cassandra (Denise Laurel) who cautiously waits for the right time to take her revenge on the couple.

Jessy Mendiola and Matteo Guidicelli Want No Label in their Relationship

Jessy Mendiola and Matteo Guidicelli revealed that they are in an 'unlabeled' relationship during their The Buzz interview aired Easter Sunday (March 31). The Paraiso lead stars consider each other very special.

"Ang masasabi ko lang, Jessy and I, are in a relationship, I don’t want to put any label. We’re not together, we’re not boyfriend, girlfriend or anything. But what we have, from my point of view and in my heart, Jessy is very special to me," Matteo told host Boy Abunda when asked if they were in a relationship.

Jessy, on her part admitted that Matteo does make her happy and is just waiting for the actor to court her formally. Jessy even said that she's planning to train in triathlon with Matteo so that they will have time together even after their show came into conclusion. Their afternoon soap, PHR Paraiso is now on its last week. 

When asked to describe each other in just one word, Matteo said Jessy was "amazing" while the actress considered Matteo as "paraiso." The two were unanimous in saying that they are happy in each other's company, much like in a paradise.

Matteo and Jessy first told the public about their blooming relationship last February in an interview with Showbiz Inside Report where both confessed their love for each other.

National TV Ratings (March 8): Kapamilya Gold Gains Momentum; Beats GMA Afternoon Shows

ABS-CBN Kapamilya Gold reigned in the afternoon according to the March 8 TV ratings data from Kantar Media/TNS.

Shows like May Isang Pangarap, PHR Paraiso, Pinoy True Stories and Rooftop Prince were all winners in their respective timeslots.

Meanwhile, Juan Dela Cruz is still the most-watched program nationwide followed by Ina Kapatid Anak. Epic serye Indio is GMA-7's only saving grace in primetime ranking 4th in primetime. Temptation of Wife ratings dropped low, probably the reason why it will end in three weeks time.

Jessy Mendiola and Matteo Guidicelli Turn Mall Show into Pandemonium

Jessy Mendiola and Matteo Guidicelli’s tandem is now one of the hottest love teams today after it drew a massive crowd last Sunday (Feb 10) during a mall show dubbed as “Love to Love: A Valentine Affair” in SM Center Las Piñas.  

The Precious Hearts Romances (PHR) presents Paraiso stars were on their way going to the backstage when fans shrieked especially after seeing Jessy and Matteo holding each other’s hands. The crowd went crazier and rowdier when the two sang a duet while exchanging intimate looks and physically getting close to each other. Matteo even stole a kiss from Jessy that turned the show’s venue into pandemonium. 

The “MaJessty” loveteam, as their fans call it, joins the roster of sought-after Kapamilya loveteams such as Kim Chiu and Xian Lim’s KimXi and Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla’s KathNiel. After painting your afternoons with love as Lysa in the recently concluded Precious Hearts Romances presents Pintada, actress Denise Laurel heats up afternoon viewing once more as she returns to another PHR series, this time, as the feisty and sultry lawyer Cassandra Romano in PHR presents Paraiso.

Behind the tough front she shows as an empowered and successful career woman, Cassandra remains to be a vulnerable young girl who is afraid to love after her father left her and her mother for another woman.

She has only loved one man who she considers a hero in her life— Brennan. Back when they were still in college, Brennan was the only man who respected her, treated her right, and did not take advantage of her.

In the tradition of bringing compelling dramas on passionate love, Precious Hearts Romances (PHR) once again opens its pages and tells the story about two different people who will find paradise in each other’s arms after being stranded in an uninhabited island for months.

PHR presents Paraiso follows the story of Yanie (Jessy Mendiola), a street smart and resourceful young woman who wants to alleviate her family from poverty, and Brennan, a rich married man who wants to prove his worth to his father.

A tragedy suddenly strikes in the middle of the vast ocean. The ship they’re on capsizes and the two find themselves washed ashore on a small, unoccupied island. They start off on the wrong foot but Yanie and Brennan have no choice but to depend on each other to survive. This draws them closer together and unexpectedly paves the way for them to fall in love.

They have found paradise in each other, but it will be short-lived as authorities come to their rescue. The two part ways and face the lives they temporarily left

Brennan finds himself dealing with his marital problems with his wife Meagan (Jewel Mische), who is having a hard time conceiving a child, while Yanie starts anew after a loss in her family and gets comfort in her best friend Justin (Matt Evans).

Precious Hearts Romances (PHR) Paraiso Full Trailer, Unveiled

ABS-CBN has released the official full trailer for the 17th installment of Precious Hearts Romances entitled Paraiso. Previously titled Isla, PHR Paraiso is topbilled by Jessy Mendiola, Matteo Guidicelli, Jewel Mische and Matt Evans.

Paraiso tells the story of two strangers, Brennan (Matteo) and Yani (Jessy), who get stranded on an island after their ship gets wrecked. Romance blooms between them as they spend time alone on the island, but the two strangers are not without their respective baggage from the "real world." Brennan is married to his dedicated wife Megan (Jewel), while Yani's childhood best friend Justin (Matt) has untold feelings for the young woman. The romance that grows between Yani and Brennan will set off a series of twists and conflicts after the two gets back to their own lives in Manila.

Also starring Arron Villaflor, Alex Castro, Dionne Monsanto and Kathleen Hermosa and under the direction of Rechie del Carmen, Nico Hernandez and Connie Macatuno, PHR Paraiso is expected to premiere this November 5 replacing PHR Pintada on Kapamilya Gold.

Jessy Mendiola and Matteo Guidicelli Fire Up for 'PHR Paraiso'

The two definitely oozed tremendous sex appeal and possessed natural chemistry which will be seen very soon on television with “Precious Hearts Romances presents Paraiso.” It tells the story of two strangers brought together by fate after a tragedy led them to be stranded in one uninhabited island for months.
