Angel Locsin in 'Makabagong Pilipina' Modess TVC with Lem Pelayo

Angel Locsin is a perfect choice for the said TVC with her very Pinay appeal. The Modess 'Makabagong Pilipina' TVC started with a picture of Bayanihan where Angel wears a traditional terno. The folk song Paru-parong Bukid played on the background as Angel transformed into an empowered woman capable of doing anything -- even playing football.

Angel Locsin's leading man in this TVC is Lemuel Pelayo who's also her pair in the first-released Modess commercial. Lem Pelayo is a cast member of Angelito and now venturing in a bigger role in Pintada.

PHR Pintada Paints a Colorful Love Story on Kapamilya Gold

Posted on July 24, 2012 | 4:47 PM

Love painted a different and unconventional romantic story between a teacher and her student this July as ABS-CBN recently premiered Precious Hearts Romances (PHR)’ newest offering, “Pintada.”

PHR Pintada - Martin del Rosario and Denise Laurel
”Precious Hearts Romances presents Pintada” also marks the comeback of box-office director Cathy Garcia-Molina in directing teleseryes.

Follow the story of Lysa (Denise) as she embarks on a journey to find the courage to paint over her scars and face life again.

Among those smitten by her is the naughty and hard-headed high school student Sev (Martin). Despite their deep emotional connection, Lysa opts to abide by her ethical principles as a teacher and refuses Sev’s advances.

Sev has yet to prove his love to Lysa, but then a fire will break out in the school that will change her life forever. While trying to rescue her students, a part of her lovely face gets burned. A man rumored to have had an affair with her also dies in the tragedy.

Besieged by hatred from the townsfolk and ashamed of her badly damaged face, Lysa suffers the aftermath of the tragic incident.

For many years, Lysa hides under a veil and refuses to mingle with people until a young man from her past, Sev, tracks her down.

What awaits Lysa and Sev? Will Lysa finally give Sev a chance now that their student-teacher bond doesn’t exist anymore? When everything she knew leaves her indelible scars, will Lysa still find a way to face life again? How can Sev help her cope with the pain brought to her by her past?

Also part of the cast are Yen Santos, Lemuel Pelayo, Bernadette Allyson, Alma Concepcion, Ricardo Cepeda, Nikka Valencia, James Reid, Jess Mendoza, Eslove Briones, Deniesse Joaquin, Jommy Teotico, Chase Vega, Katrina Legaspi, Erin Ocampo, EJ Jallorina, Lui Manansala, Dolly Gutierrez, Buddy Palad, and Marky Roldan.

Martin del Rosario and Denise Laurel Topbill New PHR Series Pintada

Posted on June 1, 2012 | 1:10 PM

Young actor Martin del Rosario will be having his first lead role in a teleserye via Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Pintada. Martin del Rosario will be playing leading man to PHR veteran, Denise Laurel.

Precious Hearts Romances: Pintada Lem Pelayo, Denise Laurel, Martin del Rosario and Yen Santos
This will be the first time that Martin and Denise will be paired together although they already worked together in Natutulog Ba Ang Diyos way back in 2007.

In an interview during the promo shoot for Pintada last May 29, Martin shared his excitement of topbilling a show and working with a love team for the first time. He also shared a bit of the plot of Pintada, which will be dealing with a high school student falling in love with his teacher.

"Ang sarap magtrabaho kapag leading man na. Very interesting 'yung role at first time ko rin na magkaroon ng ka-love team sa drama. Ilang years na ako sa ABS-CBN pero wala pa akong nagiging ka-love team. Ang swerte ko kasi first time tapos si Denise Laurel pa. Hindi ba totoo namang nangyayari 'yung high school student tapos magkaka-crush ka sa teacher? So kahit medyo nine-nerbyos ako, excited ako for the role,” Martin said.

PHR series usually require daring scenes but Martin said that he is ready to delve into the role even though this will be the first time that he will have a kissing scene for a series.

“First time ko magki-kissing scene. Si Denise naman nakailang 'Precious Hearts Romance' na siya, so tutulungan din niya ako. At saka siyempre kaya ko din naman. Ilalagay ko lang sarili ko sa character. Okay sa akin kahit anong sabihin ni direk. Kasi TV naman ito so may limitation pa rin,” he said.

PBB alum Yen Santos and Angelito: Batang Ama cast member Lemuel Pelayo will also join PHR Pintada. Eslove Briones is also a member of the cast. This new Precious Hearts Romances series will be under the unit of Direk Lauren Dyogi.
