Toni Gonzaga Ready to Start a Family with Paul Soriano?

Well-loved comedienne Toni Gonzaga was seen to have been comfortable around kids in the recent taping of Goin’ Bulilit. Could it be that she is ready to tie the knot and start a family with long-time boyfriend Paul Soriano?

This weekend, she ushers in a different kind of cheer to kick off the Christmas season  as she guest stars in Goin’ Bulilit for this Sunday’s (Nov 10) episode.

As December fast approaches, it’s almost time for people to start buying gifts for their loved ones—and to get the Christmas shopping started, the kids will be heading to a Christmas bazaar. They’ll be bringing with them tons of laughter there, showing the adorable and hilarious things that can happen. On this Sunday’s show, Toni will be helping the kids wrap things up.

Meanwhile, other things are also on the way for the teens of “LUV U,” as Benj (Nash Aguas) finally decides to court one of the girls and Shirley (Sharlene San Pedro) tries to discover who Drake (Jairus Aquino) has a crush on.

Toni Gonzaga on Paul Soriano Marriage Proposal: "Tapusin muna niya ang finals ng The Voice"

Multimedia star Toni Gonzaga pleads to long-time boyfriend Paul Soriano to at least let her finish her hosting job as host of The Voice of the Philippines before proposing marriage to her.

"Nakikiusap ako tapusin muna niya ang finals ng The Voice [of the Philippines]," Toni said when asked by The Buzz co-host Boy Abunda what she would do if Direk Paul proposes to her at this time.

It can be recalled that Direk Paul revealed in his previews interview that he is planning to propose to Toni "when she least expects it." The TV host-actress is turning 30 in January next year and the director warned the public that the proposal is "happening very soon."

Speaking on The Buzz Sunday, Toni said that she does not want the director to propose in public, just like what many of us are seeing nowadays.

"Kinausap ko siya. Ayaw ko naman ng public proposal. I cannot take it. Gusto ko umiyak, namnamin. Siyempre kapag maraming tao, gagandahan ko ang iyak ko. Ayaw ko ng ganun, gusto ko humagulgol," she said.

With that conversation in The Buzz, it seems that the proposal is happening very soon and Toni, the way she handles the issue seems like very ready to settle down when the director asked her hand for marriage.

As what Boy Abunda said, when the couple was successful in their respective careers, there's now the mindset of taking the relationship into the next level. 

Toni and Direk Paul have been a couple for about seven years now.

30th Luna Awards 2012 Winners Unveiled, Maja Salvador Gets 2nd Best Actress Trophy

The 30th Luna Awards (2012) happened August 26 at the Quezon City Sports Club and the Film Academy of the Philippines (FAP) has given the Luna trophies to outstanding films and people behind the successful movies of the year.

Maja Salvador brought home her second Best Actress trophy after her win in the 2012 Gawad Urian Awards for playing the title role of Thelma while Gov. ER Ejercito won the Best Actor award for Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story, which garnered 5 other awards. Thelma was also another big winner with 4 awards, including Best Actress and Best Director for Paul Soriano.

Paul Soriano's 'Thelma' Wins at the 2012 Mexico International Film Festival

The digital film Thelma starring Maja Salvador and directed by Paul Soriano won the Bronze Palm Award at the 2012 Mexico International Film Festival for excellent and outstanding film-making.

This is another feather on the cap of director Paul Soriano and actress Maja Salvador as Thelma continue to reap awards in and outside the country.

Last month, Thelma also bagged awards at the 2012 Star Awards for Movies including Digital Film of the Year, Best Director and Best Screenplay (click here for complete list of winners).

Thelma has also been a favorite of international film festivals. Prior to the 2012 Mexico International Filmfest, the said movie has been invited at the Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose, California and the 36th Cleveland International Film Festival.

Late last year, Thelma was also invited at the 31st Hawaii International Film Festival, the sister festival of Shanghai International Film Festival and an official partner with Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), the organization behind the acclaimed OSCAR Awards.

The movie was under Time Horizon and distributed by Star Cinema.

Maja Salvador's Film Joins Filmfest Abroad

Lumayo Ka Man Sa Akin star Maja Salvador has been blessed with good projects these past few months. After her excellent performances in Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin and My Binondo Girl, Maja as got to work with boyfriend Matteo Guidicelli and Xian Lim in the romantic movie, My Cactus Heart. 

More blessings pour for Maja as her indie film, Thelma  is set to premiere at the 22nd Cinequest Film Festival. The movie was selected by the said film fest organizers and will  be screened on February 29, March 8 and 10 at San Jose, California. According to ABS-CBN news, the movie, which is based on the lives of Filipino runners, was also accepted to the 36th Cleveland International Film Festival that will happen this March.

Late October last year, Thelma was also invited at the 31st Hawaii International Film Festival, the sister festival of Shanghai International Film Festival and an official partner with Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), the organization behind the acclaimed OSCAR Awards.

Maja was hopeful that her independent movie would win awards at the festivals it will take part on.
