Tiktik Grosses P25.9 M in 5 Days, This Guy's In Love With You Mare Hits P197 M in 2 Weeks - Box Office Mojo

This Guy's In Love With You Mare starring Toni Gonzaga, Luis Manzano and Vice Ganda had grossed P197 million in 2 weeks according to Box Office Mojo (BOM). The figure is not far to Star Cinema's reported value of P200 million in 12 days.

The LuiViTon movie is the number 1 movie in the Philippines for 2 straight weeks. Now on its third week in theaters, it's dominance will be tested with the entry of Viva's A Secret Affair which premiered October 24.

Meanwhile, Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles is also a hit in the box office earning P25.9 million on its first 5 days of showing. Tiktik, starring Dingdong Dantes and Lovi Poe is a co-production of Dingdong's Agostodos, Reality Entertainment, Mothership Studios, PostManila and GMA Films. According to the producers, it already grossed P70 million on its first 6 days.

This Guy's In Love With You Mare Grosses P200 Million in the Box Office

This Guy's In Love With You Mare is a certified box office hit as it reaches the P200 million mark barely two weeks from its release. Now on its 2nd blockbuster week, the LuiViTon movie is poised to beat the record previously held by The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin.

The good news was broken in The Buzz on Sunday, October 21. Hosts Boy Abunda and Charlene Gonzales-Muhlach congratulated co-host Toni Gonzaga for the success of their film, announcing that This Guy's In Love With You Mare had already grossed P200 million.

Meanwhile, Vice Ganda also posted a congratulatory message to Toni, Luis and himself on Twitter, mentioning their names in the movie.

This Guy's In Love With You Mare had an opening gross of P23 million, and in just 5 days, it has raked in P123.5 million according to Box Office Mojo.

The movie, helmed by Wenn Deramas is currently on its sail to surpass the records set by Praybeyt Benjamin, No Other Woman, The Mistress and You Changed My Life.

Star Cinema to Release 5 More Films this 2012

Star Cinema is set to release five more films in the fourth quarter of 2012 including the wild comedy riot "This Guy's In Love With You Mare," first Filipino-Thai film "Suddenly It's Magic," Star Magic's 20th anniversary movie "24/7 in Love," and its two official entries to the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). 

"This Guy's In Love With You, Mare," the biggest comedy movie event of the year directed by Wenn Deramas "This Guy's In Love With You, Mare" and topbilled by the box-office comedy trio of Toni Gonzaga, Luis Manzano and Vice Ganda continues to spread fun to moviegoers on its second blockbuster week. 

   

Star Cinema's first Filipino-Thai film, "Suddenly It's Magic" is a romantic-comedy flick starred by Erich Gonzales and Thai superstar Mario Maurer. Directed by Rory Quintos, the movie is set to be released on October 31. 

The romance anthology "24/7 in Love" will be starred by some of the biggest Star Magic talents including Piolo Pascual, John Lloyd Cruz, Bea Alonzo, Gerald Anderson, Kim Chiu, Maja Salvador, Sam Milby, Diether Ocampo, Angelica Panganiban, Zaijan Jaranilla, Xyriel Manabat, and Pokwang. The Star Magic 20th anniversary film, which is set to be screened nationwide in November, is directed by John D. Lazatin, Mae Czarina Cruz, Frasco Santos Mortiz, and Dado Lumibao. 

Meanwhile, the two highly anticipated MMFF entries of Star Cinema (One More Try and Sisteraka) to be shown on December 25 will surely make Filipino Christmas much more memorable.

This Guy's In Love With You Mare Grosses P123.5 Million on First 5 Days - Box Office Mojo

This Guy's In Love With You Mare posted the best five-day gross of a Filipino movie this year by virtue of its P123.5 million ticket sales from October 10-14 according to Box Office Mojo. The Vice-Toni-Luis triangle movie under Star Cinema and Viva Films is the number 1 film for the said period.

Meanwhile, John Lloyd and Bea's The Mistress had a 5-week local box office gross of P262.8 million. The Olivia Lamasan-helmed film is now the third highest-grossing Pinoy film of all time.

The Aga-Regine reunion film, Of All The Things raked in P22.43 million after 3 weeks of showing. The gross of Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles is much awaited as its budget was reportedly about P80 million due to CG effects that can be at par to hollywood films. Early reports claimed that the said Dingdong Dantes starrer did well on its opening day with a P10.8 million gross.
