Maria Mercedes Revenge a Hit on National TV

More viewers tune in to “Maria Mercedes” every weeknight especially after Mercedes got fiercer and feistier as she continues to seek revenge on arch enemy Malvina (Vivian Velez).

The new and glamorous Mercedes made her debut last Tuesday (Dec 3), which earned the show a national TV rating of 20.4%, according to data from Kantar Media.

The show also continues to dominate its time slot and consistently beats rival program “Akin Pa Rin ang Bukas.” From Dec 2 to Dec 6, “Maria Mercedes” hit an average national TV rating of 19.9% or seven points higher than rival’s 12.7%.

Fans will surely be captivated even more in the coming weeks as bigger secrets unfold, a new enemy emerges, and love gets tested further .

Mercedes’ and her family’s hopes of finding justice for Guillermo (Marx Topacio) is crushed after the one and only witness to Guillermo’s murder feared for his life and ran away. A little spark of hope though is still alive because Misty (Nikki Gil) who, aside from being a witness herself, may have a change of heart and turn against Malvina (Vivian Velez) for betraying her trust.

Misty will not go alone in this new battle as her mother Bettina (Tetchie Agbayani) flies in to the country to back her up. How will Bettina shake up the lives of Mercedes and Malvina?

Meanwhile, Luis (Jake Cuenca) already made up his mind to bring Mercedes back in his arms. He may not hear it straight from her, but Luis strongly feels that he still stands a chance and that Mercedes still loves him. Will Mercedes easily give in to her feelings for Luis? How will Santiago (Ariel Rivera) react to this? How will Mercedes fight the war she started if Santiago is no longer by her side?

Kiray Goes Drama in MMK (September 14); Paired with Arjo Atayde

Young comedienne Kiray Celis will make TV viewers cry this Saturday (September 14) in “Maalaala Mo Kaya” as she portrays the role of Brenda, an insecure but talented lady who wants to prove to everyone that her short stature is not a hindrance to success. 

In the upcoming episode, Kiray Celis will be paired with “Dugong Buhay” lead actor Arjo Atayde. How hard is it to earn other’s love and respect when you, yourself, are questioning your self-worth?

John Prats Topbills MMK this April 6; Resents His Own Father

John Prats is set to inspire TV viewers this Saturday (April 6) as he portrays the character of Julius, a rebellious young man who resents his own father for being a drug addict in “Maalala Mo Kaya.” 

Julius devoted all his time in teaching and playing different sports to avoid having the same fate as his dad. When he is asked to form a football team in their town, Julius meets a group of kids who have the same vices as his father. How will Julius be able to save the kids from the same mistakes that almost ruined his life? 

Joining John Prats in “MMK” this Saturday are Nonie Buencamino, Tetchie Agbayani, Bing Davao, Francis Magundayao, Jairus Aquino, Gerald Pesigan, Aaron Junatas, Philip Nolasco, and Andrei Garcia. The story was researched by Akeem Jordan del Rosario, written by Mark Duane Angos and Arah Jell Badayos, and directed by Mae Czarina Cruz.

Ella Cruz Emotional on Aryana's Last Two Weeks

Kapamilya tween mermaid Ella Cruz recently revealed that she is having mixed feelings about the nearing finale of her top-rating Primetime Bida fantaserye in ABS-CBN, “Aryana.”

“Aryana is so special to me because it changed my life and made all of my dreams come true,” shared Ella. “I feel really sad because I’m going to miss my character Aryana, my tail, and the people I have worked with whom I already consider as my family. But I’m very happy because of the unwavering support of TV viewers who all made our show successful.”

When asked who among her three leading men Francis Magundayao, Dominic Roque, and Paul Salas she will miss the most, Ella said that they are all her friends and that she will miss them all the same. “They all have different kinds of personalities that is why we also have different kinds of closeness.”

Ella Cruz Reveals the Biggest Gift She Has Received this Year

Kapamilya tween mermaid Ella Cruz reveals that her top-rating fantaserye “Aryana” is the biggest gift that she has received this year.

“I will never forget how ‘Aryana’ changed my life. It is the highlight of my 2012,” said Ella. “I’m very thankful to ABS-CBN for everything that happened to my life and my career this year.”

Because of her busy schedule, Ella shared that instead of buying expensive gadgets as her special reward for herself, she would rather have the simple joy of spending time with her family this Christmas. “All I want this Christmas is time to bond with my family. It may be simple, but it would really make me very happy.”

Meanwhile, unlike Ella’s good life and career this year, tension continues to arise in the magical ‘tail’ of her character Aryana now that people have discovered the existence of mermaids. How will Ofelia (Pokwang) and her family still be able to keep Aryana’s secret now that the authorities are searching for them? Aryana Posted Record High 30.5% TV Ratings

ABS-CBN’s top-rating Primetime Bida fantaserye “Aryana” continues to capture the hearts of more TV viewers as it recently reached its all-time high national TV rating. 

Based on the data of Kantar Media last Thursday (October 25), “Aryana” clinched its highest national TV rating of 30.5%, or 12 points higher than its newest rival program in GMA “Moon Embracing The Sun” which only got 18.5%. 

Meanwhile, continue to follow the colorful world of Aryana (Ella Cruz) now that Victor (Tonton Gutierrez) already knows that his daughter is a mermaid. How will he protect Aryana from the accusations of Stella (G Toengi) about Megan’s (Michelle Vito) accident? Will he be able to fix the rift between the two sisters? Now that Queen Hiyasmin (Tetchie Agbayani) has already discovered Neptuna’s (Desiree del Valle) evil plans, can she finally prevent her daughter from getting Aryana back?

Aryana to Premiere this May 7 on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida

ABS-CBN is all set to make the biggest splash this summer as its newest fantaserye Aryana joins the winning roster of primetime drama series.

Topbilled by 2008 FAMAS Best Child Actress Ella Cruz, the much-awaited fantasy tale features the adventures of a typical teenager named Aryana (Ella) whose life makes a full twist on her 14th birthday as a dark curse turns her into a mermaid.

According to Ella, doing Aryana is a fulfillment of her ultimate dream. "It has always been my childhood dream to be an actress and to star in my own teleserye in ABS-CBN. When I saw Ate Julia (Montes) and Kathryn (Bernardo) doing their own shows, I told myself that I want to have my own someday," said the former Goin’ Bulilit child star who recently made a mark among TV viewers in her portrayal as the young Cristine Reyes in the top-rating drama series Dahil sa Pag-ibig.

Ella added that Kapamilya viewers will surely enjoy the ride with Aryana as she takes everyone to the challenging world of humans and the colorful paradise of the mermaids. Ella said that aside from its unique plot it has values to share. “Our show will also teach its viewers different lessons on family, love, and environmental awareness.”

Another treat from ABS-CBN, Aryana will premiere on Primetime Bida this summer. Perhaps this will replace Wako Wako sometime in May.
