More viewers tune in to “Maria Mercedes” every weeknight especially after Mercedes got fiercer and feistier as she continues to seek revenge on arch enemy Malvina (Vivian Velez).
The new and glamorous Mercedes made her debut last Tuesday (Dec 3), which earned the show a national TV rating of 20.4%, according to data from Kantar Media.
The show also continues to dominate its time slot and consistently beats rival program “Akin Pa Rin ang Bukas.” From Dec 2 to Dec 6, “Maria Mercedes” hit an average national TV rating of 19.9% or seven points higher than rival’s 12.7%.
Fans will surely be captivated even more in the coming weeks as bigger secrets unfold, a new enemy emerges, and love gets tested further .
Mercedes’ and her family’s hopes of finding justice for Guillermo (Marx Topacio) is crushed after the one and only witness to Guillermo’s murder feared for his life and ran away. A little spark of hope though is still alive because Misty (Nikki Gil) who, aside from being a witness herself, may have a change of heart and turn against Malvina (Vivian Velez) for betraying her trust.
Misty will not go alone in this new battle as her mother Bettina (Tetchie Agbayani) flies in to the country to back her up. How will Bettina shake up the lives of Mercedes and Malvina?
Meanwhile, Luis (Jake Cuenca) already made up his mind to bring Mercedes back in his arms. He may not hear it straight from her, but Luis strongly feels that he still stands a chance and that Mercedes still loves him. Will Mercedes easily give in to her feelings for Luis? How will Santiago (Ariel Rivera) react to this? How will Mercedes fight the war she started if Santiago is no longer by her side?
