K Brosas and Khalil Ramos Hooked, Text Mates in MMK (January 25)

Singer-comedienne K Brosas will topbill ABS-CBN’s “Maalaala Mo Kaya” for the first time this Saturday (January 25). She will play the role of a cheerful and loving mother Neneng, who suddenly gets hooked in texting a young guy named Janus (Khalil Ramos). 

What pushed a dedicated housewife to escape from her “real life” and give her time to a total stranger? Together with K and Khalil in “MMK” are Dennis Padilla, Gemmae Custodio, Miko Aytona, Moi Bien, Paul Salas, Harvey Bautista, Zeppi Borromeo, Aleck Bovic, Wendy Valdez, Liezel Garcia and Emmanuelle Vera. 

The episode is directed by Garry Fernando, written by Arah Jell Badayos, and researched by Agatha Ruadap. “MMK” is led by business unit head Malou Santos, production manager Roda Dela Cerna, and executive producer Fe Catherine San Pablo.

Bride for Rent Movie Poster Unveiled | Kim Chiu and Xian Lim 2nd Movie

Check out the official movie poster of Bride for Rent starring Kim Chiu and Xian Lim. The movie is the second big screen team up of KimXi following the success of their first movie together Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo.

Bride for Rent is Star Cinema's opening salvo for 2014 and will open in cinemas January 15, 2014 after the Metro Manila Film Festival. It is directed by Mae Czarina Cruz (She's The One).

Kim and Xian will be joined by Dennis Padilla, Empoy Marquez, Martin del Rosario, Lloyd Zaragoza, Matt Evans, Eda Nolan, Zeppi Borromeo, Marlann Flores and RJ Ledesma in this movie with the special participation of Ms. Pilita Corrales and Tirso Cruz III.

With an interesting title and plot combined with a powerful cast, Bride for Rent is one romantic comedy movie you should not miss.

Angel Locsin and Paulo Avelino Team Up for MMK (October 12)

In the continuing celebration of 60 years of ABS-CBN, “Maalaala Mo Kaya” will feature the first TV team-up of Angel Locsin and Paulo Avelino in its upcoming heavy drama love story this Saturday (October 12).

Angel will play the role of Mildred, a patient diagnosed with an extreme case of tuberculosis, while Paulo will give life to the character of a nurse named Stuart. How will Mildred and Stuart cure each other’s aching lives? Will love die when a beloved lets go and gives up on a relationship? 

Also featured in the “MMK” episode directed by Jerry Lopez Sineneng are Mark Gil, Mads Nicolas, LJ Moreno, Kathleen Hermosa, Tanya Gomez, Johan Santos, Karen Dematera, Zeppi Borromeo, Mel Kemura, Maggie dela Riva and Agatha Tapan. MMK June 23 Episode Shares the Story of a 78-Year-Old Lola Auring Who Braves the Streets of Manila to Find Her Husband

Maalaala Mo Kaya shares this Saturday (June 23) the inspiring love story of a 78-year-old woman named Lola Auring Matias (played by Anita Linda), who braved the streets of Manila alone each day in search for her missing husband, Lolo Luis (played by Tony Mabesa). 

For two weeks, she went around the city with two “missing person” posters of Luis pinned on her dress. Every day, Lola Auring was full of hope that she and her husband will meet again. Luckily, a good Samaritan was touched with the old lady’s dedication that her picture was posted in one of the social networking sites. 

Thousands were inspired with Lola Auring’s true love for Lolo Luis that a campaign was made to help her. With the help of people who learned about her story and saw how she loves her husband so much, Lola Auring was reunited with her beloved husband. 

Together with Anita and Tony in the “MMK” episode are Lara Quigaman, James Blanco, Ruben Gonzaga, Gilleth Sandico, Mymy Davao, Alfred Labatos, Carla Guevarra, Zeppi Borromeo, Mike Lloren, Tanya Gomez, Encar Benedicto, and Kitkat. It was researched by Alexandra Mae Martin, written by Mark Duane Angos, and directed by Mae Czarina Cruz.
