Ai Ai said that in his reunion with Direk Wenn, she intends to give not only pure entertainment, but also inspiration to more Filipinos. She recounted that her tandem with Deramas in movies became a hit not only on its hilarious content, but also because of the life lessons it offered to the moviegoers.
In her preparation for the new project, Ai Ai went to the Holy Land recently and visited some important places in Jesus’ life. In her pilgrimage, the Comedy Concert Queen took the chance to reflect on her life and thanked the Lord for the blessings she continues to receive.
Also featured in “Wako Wako” is the called young Coco Martin Yogo Singh. For his first ever big break, Yogo is very much excited. He never thought that portraying Coco would be a sign of something big that will be offered to him.
Besides Ai Ai and Yogo, also casted in “Wako Wako” are Vandolph Quizon, Glady’s Reyes, Maricar de Mesa, Malou de Guzman, Dennis Padilla, Carlos Agassi, Abby Bautista, Markki Stroem, Liezel Garcia, Eagle Riggs, DJ Durano and Franco Daza. Other members of the program’s cast are ecstatic to be part of the project, since it’s headed by a renowned director and starred by the Comedy Concert Queen.
“Wako Wako” is a story of seven-year-old boy Muymuy (Yogo), who yearns to make his father, a respected policeman, proud. His cowardice nature, however, prevents him to do so. He will discover a magical creature and he’ll call it Wako. Wako-Wako fulfills all his wishes, but soon Muymuy discovers that every granted wish comes with a price.
A mysterious lady named Dyosa Marishka finds Muymuy and tells him that Wako is an Arukan and that she is a goddess of wishes in need of help from the creature. The goddess needs to find seven people who will provide pure selfless wishes to save her kingdom and bring her back to power. In return, Wako helps Muymuy with his family’s problems in this endearing tale of friendship and relations.
