Video: A Beautiful Affair Wedding Teaser Reveals a Major Twist in the Story

ABS-CBN recently release a video teaser for the upcoming teleserye A Beautiful Affair starring John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo featuring a wedding scene. The series is the comeback teleserye of JLC-Bea tandem in celebration of their 10 years as a love team.

The said series, which pilot week was shot in Vienna, Austria is directed by Katski Flores. It is expected to hit ABS-CBN Primetime Bida this October 29 replacing Walang Hanggan.

The wedding video looks like an original pre-nuptial video that we are seeing nowadays. It also revealed the rest of the characters including Jim Paredes, Maritoni Fernandez, John Estrada, John Arcilla, Slater Young and Jaime Fabregas. Despite the grandeur of the scene, a major twist was revealed at the end.

A Beautiful Affair Full Trailer Released!

ABS-CBN has just released the full trailer for A Beautiful Affair, John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo's reunion teleserye.

The full trailer showed beautiful scenes from Vienna, Austria which will be shown on its pilot week. It would compare or even surpass something done for a movie. With glossy scenes and breathtaking sceneries, plus the memorable lines, A Beautiul Affair spells another success teleserye from ABS-CBN.

In A Beautiful Affair, John Lloyd will be playing the role of an architect while Bea is an heiress. The two meet in Vienna, Austria where they will start a beautiful affair. The series is directed by Katski Flores and Lauren Dyogi.

Also starring John Arcilla, Irma Adlawan, John Estrada, Dimples Romana, Ana Roces, Slater Young, Megan Young, Jim Paredes, Jaime Fabregas, Carlo Romero and Maritoni Fernandez, A Beautiful Affair will premiere this October 29, 2012 on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida replacing Walang Hanggan.

Slater Young Lands First TV Commercial (Smart C+)

PBB Unlimited Big Winner Slater Young finally had his very first TV commercial via Smart C+, a refreshing drink with Vitamin C.

The TVC showed Slater Young walking while talking the benefits from the Smart C+ fruit juice drink. Slater sounded like he's pro at convincing people to buy something. See?

As for Slater's TV projects, it has been reported that he will be part of 2 ABS-CBN teleseryes - Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto which will premiere July 16 and John Lloyd and Bea's reunion teleserye, A Beautiful Affair with his former housemate, Carlo Romero. There were also talks that he will be part of the return of award-winning travel show, Trip Na Trip produced by Bayan Productions.

10 New ABS-CBN Teleseryes to Watch Out For

ABS-CBN is gearing up for a packed 2012 as it lines up ten new television series that will fill up the network's Kapamilya Gold and Primetime Bida blocks.

And these are only the ones announced or hinted at by their starring actors.

Lorenzo's Time

Starring: Zaijan Jaranilla, Carmina Villaroel, Diether Ocampo

What we know so far: Jaranilla plays a boy suffering from progeria, a rare genetic condition wherein symptoms resembling aspects of aging are manifested at an early age. Also starring: Alfred Vargas, Gina Pareno, Amy Austria, Joel Torre; 

Status: Slated for July 2012 release  

Ina, Kapatid, Anak

Starring: Kim Chiu, Maja Salvador, Enchong Dee, Xian Lim

What we know so far: "Labanan ng yaman, 'yun ang sigurado," Dee said. "Ina," which will see Chiu and Salvador as feisty females, will also revolve around the shoe-making industry -- the principal characters' source of riches. Also starring: Janice de Belen, Rayver Cruz, Cherry Pie Picache, Ronaldo Valdez, Eddie Gutierrez, Jayson Gainza; 

Status: Filming

Kahit Puso'y Masugatan

Starring: Andi Eigenmann, Iza Calzado, Jake Cuenca, Gabby Concepcion

What we know so far: Eigenmann and Calzado's characters are street kids and best of friends growing up. Eigenmann's character goes on to have a better life as she is adopted by Concepcion's character, while Calzado continues to portray a woman who has a "simple life."

Precious Hearts Romances: Isla

Starring: Matteo Guidicelli, Jessy Mendiola, Jewel Mische

What we know so far: The show is the latest in the series of ABS-CBN's "PHR" offerings. "Isang love triangle with Jessy and Jewel,” Guidicelli said. For Mendiola, it's a departure from her sweet image, as the soap is about "romance" and will feature sexy scenes. 

Status: Unannounced  

Untitled series starring "Papa Chen"

Starring: Jodi Sta. Maria, Richard Yap, Mutya Orquia

What we know so far: The soap will see Yap take on his first leading role in a series, following his stint as "Papa Chen" and his guest-starring role in "Walang Hanggan." After playing Sophia in "100 Days to Heaven," Sta. Maria will also headline the series along with Orquia of the "Mutya" the mermaid fame. 

Status: Officially announced (rumored title: Bituing Hulog ng Langit)

Untitled water-themed soap starring Piolo Pascual

Also starring: Angelica Panganiban, Diether Ocampo

What we know so far: Pascual said the "big" series will be "very physically challenging" and will feature "water elements." The soap is among the network's high-concept shows and will "go places," the hunk actor added.


Status: Unannounced (rumored titles: Apoy Sa Dagat and Mariposang Dagat)

Against All Odds

Starring: Judy Ann Santos, KC Concepcion, Sam Milby

What we know so far: The teleserye queen says "Against All Odds" will "empower women," as she will play a "relatable" character that will inspire mothers and housewives. Also starring: John Estrada, Mylene Dizon, Jessy Mendiola, Joseph Marco, Bryan Termulo, Tirso Cruz III and Coney Reyes.

Status: Officially announced 

A Beautiful Affair

Starring: John Lloyd Cruz, Bea Alonzo

What we know so far: Four years since "I Love Betty La Fea," Cruz and Alonzo will be reunited for the new TV project, whose pilot episode will feature scenes in Vienna, Austria. Filming for the soap started in May and is expected for a release later in the year.

Status: Filming

Precious Hearts Romances: Pintada

Starring: Martin del Rosario, Denise Laurel, Lem Pelayo, Yen Santos

What we know so far: The Kapamilya Gold series sees the first on-screen team-up of Del Rosario and Laurel. The newest "PHR" soap is a "coming-of-age" story that will depict a student who falls in love with his teacher, according to Laurel.

Status: Officially announced

Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto

Starring: JM de Guzman, Charee Pineda, Kaye Abad, John Prats

What we know so far: Prats joins the original cast in the sequel to the successful afternoon soap. Angelito (De Guzman) and Rosalie (Pineda), who becomes a teacher, will get married; while Jenny (Abad) finds a new love in her childhood best friend (Prats).

John Lloyd Cruz Covers StarStudio June 2012 Issue

John Loyd Cruz scores another magazine cover this June as he is on the cover of StarStudio June 2012  "The Screen Royalty' issue. John Lloyd also graces the cover of Esquire Philippines for its June 2012 issue (see his Esquire cover here).

On the cover, the magazine said, "StarStudio takes a most detailed and intimate look into the life of the King of Contemporary Cinema as he marks 15 successful years in showbiz." John Lloyd now embarks on his reunion teleserye with Bea Alonzo. They just returned from Vienna after shooting the pilot episode of their teleserye, A Beautiful Affair in Europe. They were also interviewed by the local news of ORF, Austria's national TV station (see shooting photos and ORF interview link here).

John Lloyd Cruz also reveals more about love in this issue of StarStudio. Other showbiz royalties featured in the magazine are King of Comedy Dolphy and Star For All Seasons Vilma Santos-Recto.

John Lloyd Cruz Covers Esquire June 2012 Issue

Actor John Lloyd Cruz is on the cover of Esquire Philippines June 2012 issue. John Lloyd is no more a nice guy in this Esquire cover as styled by Liz Uy. The cover, however is reminiscent of Eli Buendia's Esquire cover, also donning a suit (not black but purple).

Other topics in Esquire Philippines June 2012 include PNoy's SoNA by Lourd, a tribute to Angelo Castro Jr, New Rules for Suits, and Sam Pinto.

John Lloyd Cruz is currently shooting for his reunion teleserye with Bea Alonzo entitled A Beautiful Affair.He and Bea flew to Vienna, Austria to shoot for the pilot scenes of the said teleserye (see photos here). They were even interviewed by an Austrian news during their shoot in Vienna.

John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo Shoot in Vienna, Austria for 'A Beautiful Affair' Teleserye (Photos)

John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo together with A Beautiful Affair cast and crew flew to Vienna, Austria to shoot for their reunion teleserye. A Beautiful Affair will be the return of John Lloyd-Bea tandem on TV after the hit Pinoy remake of I Love Betty La Fea in 2008.

A Beautiful Affair is directed by Direk Lauren Dyogi who also directed John Lloyd and Bea in their very first teleserye team up, Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay and their movie Now That I Have You.

Here are some of the photos from John Lloyd and Bea's A Beautiful Affair teleserye shoot in Vienna, Austria. We can see that PBB alumnus Carlo Romero is included in the cast.

John Lloyd Cuz and Bea Alonzo were even interviewed by a local Austrian news together with the production crew during their shooting in Vienna. Although the interview was dubbed in German and we can't understand anything, it is still worth watching considering that Filipino production staff and actors are featured. John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo Reunited in 'The Mistress' Movie

Seasoned love team John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo are set to reunite in a movie entitled The Mistress. The said movie is another Star Cinema offering in celebration of John Lloyd and Bea's 10th year anniversary as a love team.

Both Bea and John Lloyd are excited about this reunion movie. In an interview with TV Patrol's Gretchn Fullido on Wednesday, April 25, Lloydie said that he is looking forward to shooting his reunion movie with Bea because both of them have already grown up as actors.

“Sobrang excited ako kung paano magiging batuhan namin ni Bea sa mga eksena kasi iba na si Bea ngayon, iba na rin ako,” John Lloyd told ABS-CBN news.

“Ten years na pala kami no? I'm so excited [and] at the same time challenged. With John Lloyd, you always need to be on your toes. It’s always refreshing to work with John Lloyd,” remarked Bea Alonzo.

Their reunion movie, The Mistress will tackle a controversial theme and they will be playing deep and sensitive roles. The movie is about infidelity and it will surely be a talk-of-the-town just like No Other Woman.

The said movie will be helmed by award-winning director, Olivia M. Lamasan (Milan, In My Life, In The Name of Love).

If I was not mistaken, this is supposed to be the movie which will star Bea Alonzo and Derek Ramsay if not for the decision of Star Cinema to replace Derek who recently transferred to TV5 (read related article here).

Aside from this reunion movie, Bea and John Lloyd will also take part in the star-studded Star Magic 20th anniversary movie. John Lloyd had already shoot some scenes in Vietnam with Angelica Panganiban for this movie.

Fans will also be delighted with Bea and John Lloyd's upcoming teleserye, A Beautiful Affair which will be shot in Vienna, Austria. 

Bea nd John Lloyd last worked together in the big screen via Miss You Like Crazy in 2010 and in the teleserye  I Love Betty La Fea way back in 2009.

John Lloyd Cruz Juggles 3 Major Projects - 2 Movies and a TV Soap

Actor John Lloyd Cruz is the male version of Curacha now that he's juggling 3 major projects. John Lloyd is set to star in two new films under Star Cinema and a teleserye with Bea Alonzo.

John Lloyd Cruz' has just returned from Vietnam after his shoot for the Star Magic 20th anniversary movie  where he will co-star with the biggest names under the said talent management firm including Kim Chiu, Piolo Pascual, Jake Cuenca, Pokwang, Diether Ocampo and Angelica Panganiban.

John Lloyd and Angelica left for Vietnam with Jason Gainza before Holy Week for the movie shoot and returned yesterday, April 9. John Lloyd revealed that he wanted to work anew with Angelica in a full length film. Bot actors worked together in the soap Maging Sino Ka Man (Book 2).

Lloydie also started filming his 3rd movie with Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo. The Cathy Garcia-Molina-directed movie is the third in the Miggy-Laida series after You Changed My Life and A Very Special Love. The said movie will also star Iza Calzado in her first movie as a Kapamilya.

Meanwhile, John Lloyd is already excited for his reunion teleserye with Bea Alonzo tentatively titled A  Beautiful Affair. The said production is now underway and this May, they will be flying to Vienna, Austria to shoot the pilot. Lloydie said that 80% of the pilot will be shot in Vienna.

The last time Bea and Lloydie worked in a teleserye was in I Love Betty La Fea way back in 2009.

Bea and John Lloyd Teleserye To Shoot in Europe

There's nothing stopping ABS-CBN from shooting teleserye scenes in foreign lands this 2012. 

After Dahil Sa Pag-ibig and Walang Hanggan's shoot in Italy, Kung Ako'y Iiwan Mo in Doha, Qatar and Princess and I in the kingdom of Bhutan, another Kapamilya series is slated to shoot scenes outside the country.

Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz' reunion teleserye tentatively titled A Beautiful Affair will shoot some scenes in Europe. According to Bea in one of her interviews, the whole pilot episode will be shot in Europe (rumor has it that is Austria in particular).

Bea and John Lloyd's teleserye will air sometime in the 3rd or 4th quarter of 2012 so fans should wait a little while before they can see these two reunited on TV.

Bea Alonzo will also do a movie with John Lloyd, who is now in Vietnam with Angelica Panganiban to shoot for the biggest Star Magic movie in lieu of its 20th anniversary.

Angel Locsin To Shoot Teleserye in Peru?

Is it true that Star Awards Best Actress for Movies Angel Locsin will shoot her next teleserye in the South American country Peru? There are rumors surfacing the web claiming that Angel will be flying to Peru where her upcoming ABS-CBN teleserye will be set. The said source also claim that Angel is now practicing again her horseback riding skills for the said project.

If the rumor is indeed true, we can commend ABS-CBN for bringing a new flavor to its every production. This year, there is not only one Kapamilya teleserye that shot some scenes outside the country. 

Piolo Pascual's Dahil Sa Pag-ibig shot some scenes in Italy while Coco Martin and Dawn Zulueta also showed us the said country's grandeur via Walang Hanggan. Kathryn Bernardo is currently in Bhutan with Gretchen Barretto, Enrique Gil and Albert Martinez for Princess and I while Shaina Magdayao and Jake Cuenca had already did some scenes in Doha, Qatar for Kung Ako'y Iiwan Mo. 

There are also rumors that John Lloyd and Bea's reunion teleserye, A Beautiful Affair will be shot in Austria. Then, Angel is next with this 'Peru' thing.

As for now, we can just hope for the best to come but the idea of ABS-CBN shooting another TV series abroad is just insanely good news as this would mean that better quality and expensive teleseryes are coming our way plus the fact that we got to see the rest of the world even at home.

Bea and John Lloyd Gear Up For Reunion Teleserye

John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo will be back in each other's arms via their reunion teleserye with a working title A Beautiful Affair. The said series will be Bea and John Lloyd's 6th time to be paired in a teleserye. It can be recalled that Bea and John Lloyd was first paired in Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay, when Bea was only 14. Their hit tandem had a follow up in It Might Be You, Maging Sino Ka Man Book 1 and Book 2,  and I Love Betty La Fea.

In the big screen, Bea and John Lloyd had their box-office success in movies like Close To You, Now That I Have You, One More Chance and the phenomenal Miss You Like Crazy.

The reunion teleserye, A Beautiful Affair is said to start shooting this March 2012. Perhaps both Lloydie and Bea will play different mature roles in the series. Another big teleserye coming up only from ABS-CBN.
