Muling Buksan Ang Puso Hits All-Time High 30.4% TV Ratings

ABS-CBN’s newest primetime drama series “Muling Buksan Ang Puso” has captivated more viewers nationwide after it hit its all-time high national TV ratings of 30.4% on Wednesday (July 24) based on data from Kantar Media covering urban and rural homes nationwide. 

The Primetime Bida teleserye topbilled by Julia Montes, Enchong Dee and Enrique Gil rated eight points higher than its rival show in GMA, “Mundo Mo’y Akin” which only scored 22.5%.

Muling Buksan Ang Puso Premieres July 8 on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida

In celebration of 60 years of television in the Philippines, ABS-CBN presents this July its biggest drama offering for the year, “Muling Buksan Ang Puso,” topbilled by three of Kapamilya network’s newest ‘Primetime Idols’–Teleserye Sweetheart Julia Montes, Versatile Actor Enchong Dee, and Next Ultimate Leading Man Enrique Gil.

Award-winning director Ruel S. Bayani describes his newest masterpiece “One More Try,” starred by Angel Locsin, Dingdong Dantes, Zanjoe Marudo and Angelica Panganiban, as a unique family drama that will touch the hearts of moviegoers in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

“One More Try,” which is graded A by the Cinema Evaluation Board, will hit cinemas nationwide on Tuesday, Christmas day (December 25).

“It is still a unique kind of family drama. Yes, nandoon iyong sexy adult theme. Nandoon ang love scenes at ‘yung sex appeal nung apat na main cast,” shared Bayani, who was so impressed with the performance of Angel, Dingdong, Zanjoe and Angelica in the movie. “I would say that it is the sexiest kind of family drama. Judy Ann Santos' role is a bit different from what she used to do as she will play a slight kontrabida character in Mga Mumunting Lihim.

“Kuwento siya ng apat na magkakaibigan. Noong namatay ako, dun sa pagkamatay ko, may mga nilabas akong sikreto ng mga kaibigan ko. Kumbaga, sinulat ko sa diary yung mga naiisip ko tungkol sa kanila nung nabubuhay pa ako. Parang, kung susumahin mo, akala mo mabait ako dun, yun pala hindi. Meron siyang mga pananaw sa mga kaibigan niya na di niya masabi kaya isinusulat nya nalang. Dun nagsimula ang anggulo ng gulo sa bawat isa,” said Judy Ann in an interview.

The 8th CINEMALAYA Independent Film Festival will run from July 20-29, 2012 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), Greenbelt and Trinoma cinemas.

Judy Ann Santos Back in The Big Screen Via 'Mga Mumunting Lihim'

Young superstar and Queen of Teleserye, Judy Ann Santos will be back in movies through an indie film tentatively titled Mga Mumunting Lihim.  The said film is conceptualized and directed by award-winning writer-director, Jose Javier Reyes who also worked with Juday in Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo and its sequel Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo and the latest MMFF entry My Househusband.

According to Juday, she will be working with Eugene Domingo, Iza Calzado and Agot Isidro in this movie about friendship. She said that it will be a good thing where they can throw lines that will not be censored because this is an indie movie and set for Cinemalaya.

Judy Ann also expressed her interest in doing a movie with John Lloyd Cruz. Since both of them are under contract with Star Cinema, this movie is just a stone's throw. Lloydie and Juday first worked together via a teleserye, Sa Puso Ko, Iingatan Ka where John Lloyd played the role of a brother to Judy Ann.
