Got to Believe Pilot Episode Gets 34% TV Ratings; Trends Worldwide on Twitter

Philippine showbiz’s ‘teen king and queen’ Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo have once again proven the ‘KathNiel magic’ as their highly anticipated primetime series on ABS-CBN, “Got To Believe” debuted strongly last Monday (August 26). 

According to data from Kantar Media, the premiere telecast of “Got To Believe” hit a national TV rating of 34%, or more than twice the viewers who watched its rival show in GMA “Mundo Mo’y Akin” that only scored 16.1%. 

Various hashtags related to “Got To Believe” also trended worldwide on the microblogging site Twitter as netizens shared their joy about the show’s debut and their excitement over the introduction to the story of Chichay (Kathryn) and Joaquin (Daniel).

The pilot episode featured the love triangle of sweethearts Jaime (Ian Veneracion) and Betchay (Manilyn Reynes), and Jaime’s boss Julianna (Carmina Villarroel).

Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla Topbill 'Got To Believe' Teleserye

Phenomenal love team Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla will soon be returning on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida with their new teleserye Got To Believe (watch the teaser trailer here).

After the success of Princess and I, the KathNiel team up will once again bring 'kilig' to viewers in their upcoming primetime series. The show was revealed on May 7 during the ABS-CBN 2013 trade launch at the NBC Tent (click here for other upcoming ABS-CBN programs featured in the said trade launch).

Based on the title, many are wondering whether the KathNiel teleserye is a remake of the hit 2002 film starring Claudine Barretto and the late Rico Yan. Kathryn Bernardo, however, clarified that her soap with Daniel Padilla has nothing to do with the said movie.

"Noong una noong sinabi yung title nagulat kami kasi may movie na ganoon. Pero yun nga different story naman, different characters. So wala siyang connect doon sa 'Got 2 Believe' nila kuya Rico Yan (at ate Claudine)," Kathryn told ABS-CBN News.

According to reports Kathryn and Daniel will be joined by Ian Veneracion, Carmina Villaroel, Benjie Paras and Manilyn Reynes. Star Magic Circle 2013 members like Liza Soberano, Ingrid Dela Paz, Jon Lucas, Julian Estrada and Alex Diaz are also said to be part of the KathNiel teleserye.

'May Isang Pangarap' Premieres January 21 on ABS-CBN Kapamilya Gold

May Isang Pangarap Premieres January 28, Full Trailer Released!

ABS-CBN has released the new full trailer for the upcoming teleserye May Isang Pangarap starring Vina Morales, Carmina Villaroel and introducing two new singing child stars – Larah Claire Sabroso and Julia Klarisse Base.

May Isang Pangarap tells the story of these two kids and their journey to superstardom. In the series, Vina will play the role of Julia's guardian, as Carmina to Larah. However, Vina is the real mother of Larah who left the kid with the father (played by Rico Blanco) to pursue her singing career.

Aside from Vina, Carmina, Larah, Julia and Rico, May Isang Pangarap also stars Erin Ocampo, Dominic Roque, Bembol Roco, Shamaine Buencamino, Dennis Padilla, Gloria Diaz, Valerie Concepcion and Ron Morales. Under the direction of Jerry Lopez Sineneng, the series will premiere January 28 on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida replacing Aryana.

Larah Claire Sabroso and Julia Klarisse Base: Newest Child Wonders in 'May Isang Pangarap'

ABS-CBN via its upcoming Primetime Bida drama series titled “May Isang Pangarap” will soon launch its newest child wonders–eight-year-olds Larah Claire Sabroso of Davao City and Julia Klarisse Base of Manila, who are set to touch TV viewers’ hearts through their inspiring journey to stardom. 

The two girls were both discovered from the Kapamilya Network’s nationwide talent search “Kapamilya Little Star” held last 2012. “May Isang Pangarap” will also tell the story of the Larah and Julia’s supportive mothers who will be portrayed by Carmina Villarroel and Vina Morales, respectively.

One More Try is the "sexiest kind of family drama," Graded A by the Cinema Evaluation Board

Award-winning director Ruel S. Bayani describes his newest masterpiece “One More Try,” starred by Angel Locsin, Dingdong Dantes, Zanjoe Marudo and Angelica Panganiban, as a unique family drama that will touch the hearts of moviegoers in this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

“One More Try,” which is graded A by the Cinema Evaluation Board, will hit cinemas nationwide on Tuesday, Christmas day (December 25).

“It is still a unique kind of family drama. Yes, nandoon iyong sexy adult theme. Nandoon ang love scenes at ‘yung sex appeal nung apat na main cast,” shared Bayani, who was so impressed with the performance of Angel, Dingdong, Zanjoe and Angelica in the movie. “I would say that it is the sexiest kind of family drama. I think, umuusok siya sa screen. Bumagay ang mga actors ko sa roles nila. Casting coup ito!”

Bayani, who was also the director of the box-office hit “No Other Woman,” believes that the unique and brave narrative of “One More Try” is perfect to be seen by families during Christmas.

“One More Try’ is a movie that will be enjoyed be a lot of people. Kapupulutan ito ng aral at paghuhugutan ng inspirasyon ng maraming pamilyang Pilipino,” said Bayani. “Here, they will discover that a true Filipino family stays together. They go through a crisis and survive that crisis together and they become better people after.”

Bayani further shared that the beauty of ‘One More Try’ lies on the message it imparts to the moviegoers. “Hindi regalo o gayak ang tunay na diwa ng Pasko, kundi ang pagsasama ng pamilya kahit saan, kahit anuman ang mangyari,” he said. “Kaya tamang-tama para sa Pasko ang pelikulang ito dahil makikita dito kung paano magagawa ng isang pamilya ang lahat para sa minamahal nila at kung paano maipararamdam sa mahal mo na hindi mo siya iiwan at lalaban kayong magkasama.”

Aside from Angel, Dingdong, Zanjoe and Angelica, “One More Try” also stars Carmina Villarroel, Agot Isidro, Edward Mendez, and Gina Pareño.

‘May Isang Pangarap’ – ABS-CBN 2013 Teleserye – Full Trailer

ABS-CBN has released the full trailer of its upcoming teleserye titled May Isang Pangarap starring Vina Morales, Carmina Villaroel and introducing Kapamilya network's newest child wonders—Larah Claire Sabroso and Julia Klarisse Base.

In May Isang Pangarap, 8-year-olds Larah Claire Sabroso of Davao City and Julia Klarisse Base of Manila bring to television their real-life experiences of pursuing their dreams as singers. Early this year, both young singers joined "Kapamilya Little Star," a nationwide talent search held in July to find stars in the mold of Manabat and singer-actress Sarah Geronimo.

Carmina will be playing Larah Sabroso's mother in the series while Vina will be a mom to Julia Base. May Isang Pangarap is reportedly replacing Aryana which will end soon. Ella Cruz' leading man in the mermaid teen series, Dom Roque is said to be part of MIP but will be given a new love interest.

One More Try Plot

All seems well in Grace’s life, especially with the comfort of her son Botchok (Miguel Vergara) and boyfriend Tristan (Zanjoe) who is supporting her. But when Botchok’s rare blood condition becomes more severe, Grace is left with no other choice but to reconnect with Edward (Dingdong), Botchok’s biological father, an accomplished man married with a more successful power woman Jacqueline (Angelica). All Grace asks from Edward is for him to help her save Botchok, their son. Edward is hesitant at first but Jacq gives him permission. However, such tedious process of curing Botchok starts to taint their happy relationships, for unwanted feelings in the past start to creep in. Until eventually all other options fail except only for one—Edward and Grace need to have another child to permanently cure Botchok and they need to do it the natural way. In a situation where a life of an innocent child is at stake, can Grace, Edward, Tristan and Jacqueline sacrifice their personal feelings in order to cure Botchok?
