Posted on October 5, 2012 | 11:38 AM

Sheryl Cruz and Ciara Sotto will be joining the cast of the phenomenal Walang Hanggan as the show enters its last few weeks.

The casting of Sheryl and Ciara as the younger versions of sisters Virginia (Henya) and Margaret is a very good choice since these two are truly related to Susan and Helen. Sheryl Cruz is Susan's niece while Ciara Sotto, as we all know, is the daughter of Helen Gamboa.

ABS-CBN correspondent Marie Lozano posted the photo above on Twitter saying that these is a part of a pivotal scene in Walang Hanggan. The flash back would probably dig deeper into the relationship as sisters of Henya and Margaret and what causes the hate in Margaret's heart.

Also shown in the photo are veteran actors Mark Gil and Melissa Mendez, who will portray the parents of both Henya and Margaret.

Walang Hanggan is even more exciting now that it nears its finale so don't miss the big revelations weeknights after Princess and I on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida.

According to actor Richard Gomez, who plays Marco, the son of Helen's role Doña Margaret in the primetime series, he accidentally hit Tita Helen in a scene wherein he was shot with a gun.

"It was an accident sa isang eksena namin, kasi binaril ako, so pagtama sa akin bumagsak ako, eh si Tita Helen nasa likod ko," Richard Gomez told ABS-CBN News.

Richard also said he was relieved that Ms. Helen Gamboa's head did not hit the floor since their co-star Ogie Diaz managed to prevent that from happening. He just hoped that there will be no complications on Tita Helen after the accident.

"Noong bumagsak ako, tumama ako kay Tita Helen and that made her fall. It's a good thing bago tumama ulo ni Tita Helen, nasalo siya ni Ogie Diaz. Nagpa-check up agad si Tita Helen and she's okay naman. Maybe some spasms lang sa katawan," Richard Gomez added.

The said scene where Richard Gomez's character (Marco) is shot will be shown in tomorrow's episode of Walang Hanggan.

The country's most-watched teleserye Walang Hanggan gets even more exciting with the entry of a new character, Black Lily played by actress Eula Valdez.

Eula Valdez as Black Lily in Walang Hanggan

Eula Valdes will be playing a kontrabida role in the series which will be extended until October. In her interview with ABS-CBN news, Eula hinted that she will be a third wheel to the love story of Marco (Richard Gomez) and Emily (Dawn Zulueta) now that Marco's wife, Jane (Rita Avila) was out of the scene.

“Kung akala nila lovey-dovey na sila nang walang hanggan, ‘yan ang akala ninyo,” Eula said. “Kasi mayroon nang dumating na si Black Lily.”

Previous reports claimed that Eula Valdes will be playing the avenging sister of Jane Montenegro. In the teaser, Black Lily was seen saving the life of Daniel (Coco Martin) so that she can get revenge at him herself.

With the caliber Eula had in portraying these kind of roles, she will definitely be the next abominable character on TV, more hated than Donya Margaret (Helen Gamboa) or Miguel (Nonie Buencamino).

Walang Hanggan Sequel in the Works?

Posted on June 9, 2012 | 1:49 PM

With the huge success of Walang Hanggan on primetime television, a sequel for this number one program is said to be in the works. A "book 2" is said to be in the planning stage according to Leyte 4th District Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez.

Walang Hanggan Sequel in the works?

In a recent interview during the launch of a cosmetics line, Lucy (who is the wife of actor Richard Gomez playing the role of Marco in Walang Hanggan, one of the series' leads) said that she heard talks about the top-rated series' sequel.

“They’re going to have a book two, I hear. And it’s just nice how the people have embraced the whole cast and how they’ve welcomed ‘Walang Hanggan’ as part of their nightly viewing habit,” said Lucy who is a fan of the Richard-Dawn tandem in Walang Hanggan.

“ABS-CBN never does anything half-baked, so they’ve always been known for their wonderful teleseryes. They’ve always been known to market it in such a big way,” she added.

Walang Hanggan cast (Are they all coming back for the sequel?)
Walang Hanggan ensemble of actors -
Rita Avila, Richard Gomez, Dawn Zulueta, Paulo Avelino, Julia Montes, Coco Martin,
Melissa Ricks, Joem Bascon, Ms. Helen Gamboa and Ms. Susan Roces
Previous ABS-CBN series that went back on air with a sequel includes the successful Maging Sino Ka Man of John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo. A well-anticipated return is also set for JM De Guzman and Charee Pineda's Angelito: Batang Ama which will be back with a much more mature Angelito: Bagong Yugto.

If Walang Hanggan will indeed have a sequel, we hope that the story will get more exciting. Sequels on television are deemed less successful than their respective first books and with Walang Hanggan being extended until August (some reports say that it will be airing until October), viewers might get tired of watching the same faces all over again.

The key will be a great storyline and a new mix of characters that will sustain the program's interesting plot enough to get us all hooked again.
