Dyesebel to Make a Splash on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida Starting March 17

Anne Curtis, Gerald Anderson, Andi Eigenmann, and Sam Milby are set to heat up the nights of TV viewers as ABS-CBN’s most anticipated fantasy series “Dyesebel” premieres on Monday (March 17).

A grand TV adaptation of a Mars Ravelo classic, ABS-CBN’s “Dyesebel” will revolve around the touching tale of a mermaid from birth named Dyesebel (Anne), the daughter of a woman named Lucia (Dawn Zulueta) and a merman named Tino (Albert Martinez).

After many years of living in the ocean since she got separated from her parents, Dyesebel’s life is about to turn around as she discovers the world of human beings.

Also part of “Dyesebel” are Bangs Garcia, Ogie Diaz, Neil Coleta, David Chua, Young JV, Markki Stroem, Bodie Cruz, Nico Antonio, and Erin Ocampo. It is directed by Don Cuaresma and Francis Pasion.

“Dyesebel” is the newest masterpiece of Dreamscape Entertainment Television, the group that created the top-rating fantaserye “Aryana,” phenomenal drama series “Walang Hanggan,” and the hit superhero series “Juan dela Cruz.”

Dyesebel New Trailer Features the Mermaid's Backstory, Kingdom

ABS-CBN has released the first trailer of upcoming fantaserye Dyesebel starring Anne Curtis. The said trailer which features Dawn Zulueta, Albert Martinez, Ai Ai Delas Alas and Eula Valdes premiered on primetime Friday.

The trailer showed us the back story of Dyesebel, the daughter of a human named Lucia (Zulueta) and a merman (Martinez). A prince from underwater and a beautiful young lady from the fishing village fell in love despite the odds from both worlds.

Dyesebel First Trailer Released; Anne Caught in A Love Triangle with Gerald and Sam

The first trailer of Mars Ravelo's Dyesebel was presented at the ABS-CBN trade event held January 31 at One Esplanade in Pasay City. In the trailer, Anne Curtis who plays the mermaid Dyesebel was caught in a love triangle between a merman named Liro (Sam Milby) and a human named Fredo (Gerald Anderson).

Dyesebel,which is directed by Don Cuaresma and Francis Pasion, boasts of big names like Andi Eigenmann, Gabby Concepcion, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Dawn Zulueta, Eula Valdes and Ai Ai delas Alas. Other cast members include Bangs Garcia, Ogie Diaz, Bodie Cruz, Neil Coleta, Young JV, Nico Antonio, Markki Stroem and Erin Ocampo.

Phenomenal TV drama “Walang Hanggan” remains to be the undisputed no. 1 TV program in the country today as proven by the latest data of Kantar Media last Friday (July 20), when it garnered a national TV rating of 37.7%, compared to its rival program in GMA, “Makapiling Kang Muli,” which only got 15.5%.

According to veteran actress Helen Gamboa, who is popularly known now as Doña Margaret, because of the show’s phenomenal success, even her husband Senator Tito Sotto gets carried away with the wickedness of her character. “Tito feels sorry for Ate Henya (Susan Rocess) because of my role’s snobbish attitude,” Helen said. “I always tell him that those things are required in the scenes.”

Mundo Man Ay Magunaw Now On Its Last 2 Weeks

Mundo Man ay Magunaw lead stars Eula Valdes, Empress, Nikki Gil, and Ejay Falcon are currently having mixed emotions as their much acclaimed afternoon drama series draws down to its last two weeks.

While they feel happy because of the show’s consistent triumph in the ratings game and the positive feedback they have been receiving from TV viewers, the whole cast are also saddened because they will miss their regular bonding on the set

According to Eula, they always have wonderful moments during tapings. “My relationship with my co-actors really became very personal, to the point that we share stories about our own families,” Eula said. “The whole cast and even the staff are sensitive to each other’s feelings that’s why if we’re making jokes about each other, nobody gets offended.”

For Empress, being part of “Mundo Man” has been a huge blessing. “I’ve learned so much from the veteran actors in the show. I think even if I’m not part of ‘Mundo Man ay Magunaw,’ I’ll still be proud of it because of its great story and well execution on TV,” Empress said.

Meanwhile, Nikki discovered the actress in her even more because of “Mundo Man.” According to her, “I’ve learned a lot not only about acting but also many other things about myself. I’m very thankful to be given the chance to work with senior stars in ‘Mundo Man’ because they’ve taught me a lot about being an artist and being a person.”

Ejay, on the other hand, admitted that he is going to miss ‘playing’ with his co-actors on the set. “We really enjoyed doing this drama series. It’s like we’re not working because we’re always playing and laughing during the set. We’ve become like a real happy family that is why it’s easier for us to work.”

Eula Valdez as Black Lily in Walang Hanggan Teaser

The country's most-watched teleserye Walang Hanggan gets even more exciting with the entry of a new character, Black Lily played by actress Eula Valdez. 

Eula Valdes will be playing a kontrabida role in the series which will be extended until October. In her interview with ABS-CBN news, Eula hinted that she will be a third wheel to the love story of Marco (Richard Gomez) and Emily (Dawn Zulueta) now that Marco's wife, Jane (Rita Avila) was out of the scene.

“Kung akala nila lovey-dovey na sila nang walang hanggan, ‘yan ang akala ninyo,” Eula said. “Kasi mayroon nang dumating na si Black Lily.”

Previous reports claimed that Eula Valdes will be playing the avenging sister of Jane Montenegro. In the teaser, Black Lily was seen saving the life of Daniel (Coco Martin) so that she can get revenge at him herself.

With the caliber Eula had in portraying these kind of roles, she will definitely be the next abominable character on TV, more hated than Donya Margaret (Helen Gamboa) or Miguel (Nonie Buencamino).

Eula Valdes to Join Walang Hanggan Cast

Actress Eula Valdes is said to be joining the cast of top-rating ABS-CBN teleserye Walang Hanggan. According to online fora, Ms. Eula Valdes will be a new character that will shake Walang Hanggan.

Walang Hanggan, due to its immense success will be extended until October this year and plans about the sequel were already abuzz. In a recent interview during the launch of a cosmetics line, Leyte Representative Lucy Torres-Gomez (who is the wife of actor Richard Gomez playing the role of Marco in Walang Hanggan, one of the series' leads) said that she heard talks about the top-rated series' sequel (read more here).

Eula Valdes, who portrayed marked teleserye characters such as Amor Powers in Pangako Sa 'Yo and the villain Selina Matias in the remake of Mula Sa Puso will be a very good addition to the country's most-watched series when it's planned second book opens.

However, as Walang Hanggan will be extended until October, new characters will be added to sustain it's story and it is not quite sure whether Eula Valdes will be joining the cast sooner before the planned book 2.

Blogger byxspeaks revealed that Eula Valdes will be playing the role of Jane's (Rita Avila) avenging sister. Jane Montenegro was killed in a plane explosion plotted by Miguel (Nonie Buencamino). There are also rumors that Jane will return to surprise us all, but nothing is confirmed yet and all will depend on the writers of the series.

The Making of 'Born to Love You' Starring Coco Martin and Angeline Quinto

Star Cinema and CineMedia has just released the reel deal behind Coco Martin and Angeline Quinto's movie, Born To Love You.

Born To Love You is the very first big screen team up of Coco and Angeline and the first movie of the latter.  In this movie, Angeline plays a tour guide for Koreans who like to join amateur singing contests with her siblings while Coco will be playing a photographer. 

The movie also stars Albert Martinez, Jojit Lorenzo, Mickey Ferriols, Eda Nolan, Amy Nobleza, Louise Abuel, Ryan Bang and Ms. Eula Valdes, introducing Ku Aquino, David Chua, Aloy Noranda, Cris Pasturan and Jenny Kim. Angeline Quinto will star opposite Coco Martin in the upcoming movie Take Me In Your Arms. The said movie (with former title You Light Up My Life) is under Star Cinema and CineMedia and is expected to hit theaters soon.

In the movie, Angeline will play the role of a poor lass who likes to join amateur singing contests together with her siblings. Meanwhile, Coco Martin will be a  photographer in this romantic comedy movie.

It seems like Angeline's role is not far from her self and we could expect a natural acting from the Star Power grand winner. Since this will be Angeline's first acting project, the singer put a lot of effort to perfect the craft. In her interviews, Angeline confessed that to prepare for the movie, she had to watch the films of her idols Sharon Cuneta, Regine Velasquez and Nora Aunor to study how these award-winning actresses act.

The singer is quick to admit that as a newbie in acting, she always do her best with the help of her leading man Coco and her director Jerome Chavez-Pobocan.

Coco Martin, being a multi-awarded actor was so far impressed with Angeline's acting.  He acknowledges that the newbie has had the potential all along. Coco even jokes that Angeline was just being modest when she said, prior to shooting the film, that she does not know how to act.

A scene where Angeline will wear a swimsuit can be expected according to some reports but what's more exciting to watch out for is the Coco-Angeline team up and the attack Angeline will do in the movie, more especially that she is working with award-winning actors with the likes of Coco, Ms. Eula Valdes and Albert Martinez.

ABS-CBN's very first local drama production to air at an early noontime slot, Mundo Man Ay Magunaw debuted strongly nationwide with 15.9% ratings winning over its rival program, Chef Boy Logro: Kusina Master which got 14.8% ratings according to Kantar Media National TV Ratings for January 30.
