American singer-songwriter Jesse McCartney wanted a duet with American Idol contestant Jessica Sanchez after he saw the Fil-Mexican-American singer perform on Idol Wednesday night, April 18.
In his official Twitter account, Jesse McCartney confessed that he instantly became a fan of Jessica after the latter perform Alicia Keys' Fallin'. Jessica's powerful voice easily captivated the Beautiful Soul singer.
Jesse McCartney compared Jessica Sanchez to American Idol alumna and Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson and went on saying he wants to have a duet with her.
“Just turned on American Idol! Whoaaaaa!!! Who is this Jessica Sanchez??? She's got my VOTE!!! For real! She's unbelievable!!! Wow! She's a 16 year old version of Jennifer Hudson. Who's watching this? Somebody tell her I want a duet.”
Jesse McCartney also said Jessica's good performance compelled him to vote and even defended the Pinay-Mexican from a fan who criticized Jessica's performance.
“First time I've ever voted, to be honest. She's that good.”
“Whatever. I can't sing an Alicia song like that! Can you? Haha!!”
Meanwhile, Jessica Sanchez expressed her excitement over Jesse McCartney's duet invite in her twitter account, saying that she would die if the duet comes to reality.
"@JesseMcCartney i would die if we did a duet. Thank you so much love <3 :)"
Jessica Sanchez survived elimination last week after a save from the judges and went on to be a member of the American Idol Top 6 after Colton Dixon got the boot on the Top 7 redux results night, April 19 (April 20 in the Philippines). Jessica did not land in the bottom three.
