Roxanne Cabanero on Vhong Navarro Guesting on Vice Ganda's Concert: 'Prove it to me'

Posted on February 22, 2014 | 2:49 PM

Aspiring beauty queen Roxanne Cabañero y Acosta challenged comedian Vhong Navarro to prove where he was on the night she was allegedly rape before she respond to new developments on the case.

There are reports that Vhong Navarro was a guest performer on Vice Ganda's concert held April 24, 2010 at the Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park in Cavite. The said concert titled "May Nag Txt, May Show Ako" happened the same date Roxanne Cabañero claimed she was raped by Vhong based on her sworn affidavit.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Roxanne said, "Prove it to me. I-prove niya muna kung nasaan siya noong araw na 'yon. At babalikan ko, sasagutin ko ang tinatanong niya."

On social media, netizens expressed their doubts about the alleged rape incident which happened in Pasig. They based their judgment on several evidences proving that Vhong was present in the said concert.

A press release from Island Cove’s website dated April 6, 2010 and a poster showed that the concert was scheduled to start at 8 p.m. A photo sent to ABS-CBN News by Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park on Friday has confirmed that the concert of Vice Ganda with Vhong Navarro as guest indeed took place on the specified date.

Meanwhile, Kean Cipriano, who was also a guest performer on the said concert, posted a tweet 2:20 am of April 25, 2010 confirming that the concert ended past midnight.

A YouTube video uploaded by user wharzeek also showed Vhong Navarro staying until the end of the show. There's also a YouTube video showing host Vhong Navarro in the April 24, 2010 episode of It's Showtime plugging the said Island Cove concert.

Vhong Navarro is yet to speak up about this new evidence. However, his lawyer Atty. Alma Mallonga confirmed that Vhong knows Roxanne but the comedian did not specify how they got acquainted. She also said that no rape happened.

Vhong Navarro in Vice Ganda's Concert the Night He Allegedly Raped Roxanne Cabanero?

Posted on February 21, 2014 | 5:10 PM

Comedian Vhong Navarro's alleged new rape victim Roxanne Cabañero y Acosta mentioned in her sworn affidavit that she was raped by the It's Showtime host on the night of April 24, 2010. She also said that she met Navarro on the ABS-CBN noontime show when they guested as contestants of Slimmer's World Miss Bikini Philippines the same day.

Vhong Navarro and Roxanne Cabanero

According to Roxanne, a staff got her number for Vhong and later in the afternoon, she received a text message from the comedian who suggested that they meet at her hotel room in Pasig. However, Roxanne refused so Vhong picked her up at the hotel around 10:30 to 11:30 pm of April 24.

The rape, according to Roxanne, happened inside Vhong's car which was parked under a shaded tree a few meters away from the hotel. She said she can't leave the car even if she wanted to because she was afraid of Vhong and his bodyguards/driver who were just waiting outside.

Meanwhile, there are reports that Vhong Navarro was a guest in Vice Ganda's concert the night of April 24 along with Calla Lily's Kean Cipriano and the Streetboys. The said concert allegedly happened at the Island Cove in Cavite. Posters and press releases from the organizers said that the concert starts at 8 pm.

A video which was uploaded on YouTube showed that Vhong Navarro was indeed in the concert scene, which according to some ended at past midnight, basing on Kean Cipriano's tweet posted 2:20 am of April 25 which reads, "just got home from island cove. congrats VICE GANDA and Vhong. you guys are the best!"

Many netizens dismissed the possibility of the rape since Vhong was seen at the concert the night (and perhaps the time) Roxanne said she was raped and it was impossible that he flew from Cavite to Pasig just to do the act. They compared it with the alleged 'one-minute rape' of Deniece Cornejo.

Vhong Navarro and his camp are yet to confirm whether the comedian really had a guesting in a concert held April 24, 2010. Kean Cipriano and Vice Ganda are also yet to released statements about this latest evidence.
