After the successful run of “Rivalry: Ateneo-La Salle The Musical” last year, the most-celebrated rift between Ateneo de Manila University and De La Salle University is set to take the spotlight once again as the musical play returns on stage this February.
On Saturday (February 16) in the “Bottomline With Boy Abunda,” the producer and musical director of the said play Ed Gatchalian is all set to share with the TV viewers his thoughts about the ever amusing Ateneo-La Salle feud in Philippine collegiate basketball. And to further heat up the discussion this Saturday, part of the show’s audience are DLSU students Japoy Lizardo, Johnny Sy, Henry Atayde, and Paolo Lucero; and Ateneans Karylle, Yael Yuzon, Nini Borja, Vin Dancel, Toto Malvar, Mike Go, and Kirk Long.
When did the rift between Ateneo and La Salle start? What are the similarities and differences of Ateneans and La Sallians? After Gatchalian studied in both Ateneo and La Salle, can he say that the rivalry between the two universities helps its students become better individuals?
