Billy Crawford to Leave for France this April 30, Signs contract with ABS-CBN

International RNB sensation Billy Crawford will be leaving at the end of the month for France to continue his international career. The Bright Lights singer will be away for 2 months to finish and promote his new album and to hold concerts abroad.

In an interview with ABS-CBN news, Billy said that there are three things that he will surely miss being away for 2 months.

First that he will miss is his girlfriend Nikki Gil. Second will be his work, especially hosting the noontime show It's Showtime and third will be... guess what? Pinoy food!

"Well hindi na ako magpapaka-plastik pa. Siyempre si Nikki ang unang unang mami-miss ko. It's gonna be quite difficult for 2 months na di ko siya makikita dahil sa dito ay araw-araw kaming magkikita, that's one. Second ang trabaho ko. Yung gigising ako ng a certain time everyday, of course ibang iba na ito sa France. Yung daily routine obviously being here sa ABS-CBN. Pangatlo, ang pagkain natin mami-miss ko ang kanin natin dito."

Good thing, before Billy leaves for France, he already signed a 2-year contract with ABS-CBN last April 26 so we can expect that Billy will return to the country with lots of projects ahead.

Billy will still be doing It's Showtime and ASAP 2012 after his shows in France. He will also be hosting the return of Pilipinas Got Talent together with Luis Manzano.

Billy expressed his gratitude for the Kapamilya network which has been very supportive in his career.

“Very supportive ang ABS-CBN family na ‘di ko pinipigilan sa aking dream. So whatever happens may babalikan ako,” Billy ended.

Jennylyn Mercado Chooses Briefcase No. 7 on Kapamilya Deal or No Deal

After Gov. Vilma Santos, another special girl in Luis Manzano’s life will try to make a good deal with the Banker as the second part of the host-actor’s birthday celebration continues this Saturday (Apr 28) in the hit game show “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal.”

Actress Jennylyn Mercado appears on the Kapamilya Network for the very first time just for Luis. She even went through the tension of picking the right briefcases in hopes of winning the P2 million jackpot. Luis expressed how happy he was that Jennylyn was allowed to appear on ABS-CBN.

Moron 5 and the Crying Lady 3rd Week Gross: P64.6 Million

Wenn V. Deramas' Moron 5 and the Crying Lady starring Luis Manzano, Billy Crawford, Marvin Agustin, Martin Escudero, DJ Durano and John 'Sweet' Lapus had already grossed P64.6 million after 3 weeks of screening according to Box Office Mojo (BOM).

With the success of Moron 5, producer Viva Films is now planning for a sequel. This will be a good news for the fans of Wenn Deramas' hit comedies including the highest grossing Pinoy film in history, The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin.

Meanwhile, Battleship still leads the pack for 2 weeks now. The Lucky One starring Zac Efron and Taylor Schilling debuted at no. 2, grossing P10.69 million in its opening week while another debuting film, Anonymous suffered the opposite raking only 0.41 million at the box office.

Moron 5 and the Crying Lady Grosses P44.5 Million in 2 Weeks!

Viva Films' Moron 5 and the Crying Lady grossed P44.5 million for 2 weeks according to the latest tally from Box Office Mojo (BOM) for the period of April 11-15, 2012. Moron 5 is now the top Pinoy movie landing at no. 2 after Taylor Kitsch's Battleship  which earned about P46 million on its first week of showing, dethroning Wrath of the Titans which fell to no. 3.

Moron 5stars Luis Manzano, Billy Crawford, Martin Escudero, Marvin Agustin, DJ Durano and John 'Sweet' Lapus. It is directed by box office and award-winning director, Wenn Deramas.

Meanwhile, Erich and Derek's Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang has managed to rake P51.39 million after 5 weeks in theaters.

Jennylyn Mercado Plays on Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal

Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado set foot on ABS-CBN grounds Thursday, April 12 for her guesting in the game show Kapamilya Deal or No Deal hosted by her boyfriend Luis Manzano. 

Her guest appearance on the game show is one of Jennylyns’s gifts to her boyfriend, who will celebrate his 32nd birthday on April 21.

Jennylyn Mercado was introduced by Luis Manzano as someone very close to his heart. Being a guest player in Deal or No Deal, Jennylyn had the chance to bring her friends, mother and Alex Jazz, her son with actor Patrick Garcia. 

Since Jennylyn came from rival network GMA-7, she was very nervous on her first take inside ABS-CBN studios.

“Syempre different station, so medyo iba ‘yung feeling, kinakabahan, nakakapanibago. Iba ‘yung mga taong nakakasalubong mo,” Jennylyn said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.

“Ngayon ko lang naramdaman ‘tong nerbyos na ito,” she said, when asked by boyfriend Luis Manzano how she feels being on the show.

This Saturday, Princess and I lead stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla will be answering the question "Is it a deal or no deal?" The said episode was taped last March and the kilig KathNiel tandem will surely spice up the Saturday evening.

In the teaser, Daniel said, "Pinapatagal ko lang (yung pagpili/game) para makasama ko 'to (referring to Kathryn who's beside him).

Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal airs every Saturday on ABS-CBN after TV Patrol Weekend.

Moron 5 and the Crying Lady Trailer Released!

Viva Films and MVP Pictures released the official trailer of their upcoming comedy movie, Moron 5 and the Crying Lady. The said movie stars Luis Manzano, Billy Crawford, Marvin Agustin, Martin Escudero, DJ Durano and John 'Sweet' Lapus.

Under the direction of comedy genius Wenn V. Deramas and screenplay from Mel del Rosario, Moron 5 will hit Philippine theaters this Black Saturday, April 7.

Moron 5 and the Crying Lady is about half-witted friends, the five of them being framed up in the killing of the father of the 'crying lady.' The story will revolve around the moron 5's series of unfortunate events from the time they had been set up to their misadventures in trying to escape from prison.

Moron 5 and The Crying Lady Official Movie Poster Released!

Viva Films and MVP Pictures had released the official movie poster for the upcoming comedy film Moron 5 and The Crying Lady. The movie will star Luis Manzano, Billy Crawford, Marvin Agustin, Martin Escudero and DJ Durano as the 'Moron 5' and John 'Sweet' Lapus as the 'Crying Lady.'

Also included in the cast are German Moreno, Dennis Padilla, Arlene Muhlach, Deborah Sun, Jon Santos, and Carlos Agassi. 

Moron 5 and the Crying Lady is about 5 friends which were caught up in a frame-up incident. The 5 morons  (Luis, Billy, Martin, Marvin and DJ) were accused of killing the father of the Crying Lady (Sweet Lapus) which eventually turned the tables on them.

Here is the official synopsis for Moron 5 and the Crying Lady.

Half-witted longtime friends Albert (Luis Manzano), Isaac (Billy Joe), Mozart “Mo” (DJ Durano), Michaelangelo “Mike” (Martin Escudero) and Aristotle“Aris” (Marvin Agustin) were used to living moronic yet pretty normal and hassle-free lives until successful careerwoman Becky Pamintuan (John Lapus) accused them of killing her father and ruin everything for them. The Moron 5 are more than sure of their innocence but for the life of them, they can’t find any single satisfactory argument on how to prove it especially when their opponent would do everything to punish them for whim. Spending three miserable years in prison trying different failed comedic attempts to get out, they finally figured a way to escape. They stalked Becky and tried to understand why she’s fighting so hard to have them imprisoned when it’s clear as day that what happened three years ago was a nonsense frame-up. An opportunity came when Becky’s driver got fired for having an affair with her maid and Albert volunteered to apply to replace him. He infiltrated the Pamintuan Residence and together with his four crazily daft friends, they’ve gathered information about the curious family yet to them, it isn’t making any sense at all especially Becky’s unexplained hatred to the five of them. Why is Becky fighting so hard to have them suffer? The Moron 5 will try their hardest to know and hopefully understand what’s really going on although little did they know that by doing so, everything that they hold dear might be at risk.

Helmed by blockbuster director Wenn Deramas, Moron 5 and the Crying Lady is set to open in theaters nationwide on April 7, 2012.

Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford Topbill Moron 5 Movie

Pilipinas Got Talent power tandem, Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford will star in a comedy movie entitled Moron 5 and The Crying Lady. The said movie will be the first time that the two talented kapamilyas will work together in the big screen.

Moron 5 and The Crying Lady also stars Marvin Agustin, Martin Escudero, DJ Durano and John 'Sweet' Lapus. To be helmed by MMFF Best Director Wenn Deramas, the said movie is produced by Viva Films and expected to hit Philippine theaters this summer.

Aside from filming Moron 5, Luis and Billy are now busy with their shows on ABS-CBN. Luis had Kapamilya Deal or No Deal airing every Saturday and Sarah G Live every Sunday. Billy is seen everyday with his shows It's Showtime and ASAP 2012.

'Sarah G Live' Pilot Soars High in TV Ratings

Sarah Geronimo's new Sunday musical variety show, Sarah G Live debuts in second place last February 26. The pilot episode of the said show garnered a 21.3% TV rating, next to Sunday primetime leader, Rated K with 22.3% rating. Meanwhile, returning game show Kapamilya Deal or No Deal  (with Luis Manzano as host) also scored a high TV rating of 21.7%, debuting at no. 3.

The said show will redefine weekend viewings as the Popstar princess, Sarah Geronimo along with co-host, Luis Manzano and regular performers, teacher Georcelle Dapat-Sy of G Force and Gabriel Valenciano give us a musical show deemed to excite.

Starting February 26, Sarah G. Live will air after Rated K. It's early timeslot will occupy PBB Unlimited's slot on Sundays while the latter will be airing right after (Gandang Gabi Vice's timeslot).

Just recently, a grand teaser was released which introduced the lead characters of the said series by means of one-liners and catchy dialogues that is set to be immortalized.
