ABS-CBN Postpones 'Got to Believe' | Official Statement Released

Posted on July 12, 2013 | 3:25 PM

ABS-CBN management has decided to postpone the airing of the teleserye Got to Believe which stars teen king and queen Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo.

Got to Believe starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla

The network has previously scheduled the airing of the said teleserye this July 2013 along with Muling Buksan Ang Puso which already premiered last July 8. However, its airing was moved.

Rumors started to circulate that the management was disappointed with Got to Believe, the reason they recalled its showing this July. ABS-CBN, on the other hand, releases an official statement denying these rumors.

The statement reads:
__________________________________________________

The management of ABS-CBN is just as excited as the viewing public for the airing of “Got To Believe.” There is no truth to speculations that the airing was postponed because management was disappointed with the program. In fact, the TV series starring Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernado thrilled and impressed the management. In as much as management wants to air it, it has decided to postpone the airing until enough episodes are canned. ABS-CBN firmly believes that “Got To Believe” will offer a new experience to TV viewers and looks forward to airing it soon.

Aside from the first anniversary of “Be Careful With My Heart,” TV viewers also took part in the celebration of Maya (Jodi) and Ser Chief’s (Richard) first monthsary.

'Annaliza' Hits All-Time High TV Ratings Nationwide

More viewers are getting hooked on the primetime family drama series topbilled by now certified teleserye princess Andrea Brillantes, “Annaliza,” after it recorded an all-time high rating of 20.5% nationwide last Thursday (July 4) or 9 points ahead of its rival “Home Sweet Home” (11.4%), according to data from Kantar Media.

'Annaliza' Hits All-Time High TV Ratings Nationwide

This is the highest rating garnered by the show since it started airing last May 27. Kantar Media also reported that day by day, “Annaliza” showed a significant growth in viewership, with a minimum difference in ratings by 5%, as opposed to its rival program in the time slot.

The story heats up this week as Annaliza and Isabel (Denise Laurel) become closer to each other, which raises the ire of Stella (Kaye Abad). Stella is now more determined to hide the truth from Isabel and Lazaro (Patrick Garcia) so that she can finally take revenge on her former lover who hurt her so much in the past.

What is Stella capable of doing with the anger she feels for the couple? How long can Annaliza bear Stella’s abuses? What will happen when a confrontation ensues between Isabel and Stella?

Don’t miss Annaliza weeknights before TV Patrol in ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida. For updates, like the show’s official Facebook page at www.facebook.com/Annaliza2013 or follow @Annaliza2013 on Twitter and share your reactions using the hashtag #Annaliza.

The Voice of the Philippines Battle Rounds Airs July 28 | Battles Stage and Set Total Level Up

Posted on July 11, 2013 | 12:44 PM

The highly anticipated Battle Rounds of The Voice of the Philippines happened on July 8 and 9 at the ABS-CBN Studio 10 (ASAP Studio), three weeks ahead of its scheduled telecast.

In the Battle rounds, the four superstar-coaches Sarah Geronimo, Lea Salonga, Bamboo and Apl de Ap trimmed down the number of members in their team by pairing them up in a singing showdown happening atop a stage similar to a boxing ring (see photo above).

The two-day taping saw 24 battles but compared to its US and UK counterparts, The Voice of the Philippines will have a triangle fight which means that some battles will have three members in the showdown instead of just two. The triangle fight was due to a surprise twist to be revealed later this month, adding one artist per team instead of the original 12.

According to a reliable source, one of the triangle fights will pit Deb Victa, Nicole Parada and Angelique Alcantara of Team Bamboo against each other (Check out all the artists per team as of the latest Blind Auditions).

In all the battles, only one artist who impresses their coach will advance to the live shows which will happen at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila.

The Battle rounds of The Voice PH was also made unique by the presence of each team's advisor during the battles. The "trusted advisers" (Joey Ayala for Team Bamboo, Gary Valenciano for Team Sarah, Gerard Salonga for Team Lea and Arnel Pineda for Team Apl), helped the coaches in honing their respective artists prior to the Battle rounds.

According to Coach Lea Salonga, the Battle Rounds will start airing on July 28 which means, five more episodes of the Blind Auditions are expected to air. "Lima na lang ang natitira [na episodes of Blind Auditions]. Battles start on Sunday, July 28!!! Promise, iba na ang suot!" replied coach Lea to a fan on Twitter.

Hosted by Toni Gonzaga with Alex Gonzaga and Robi Domingo, The Voice of the Philippines airs Saturdays at 9 p.m. and Sundays at 8:15 p.m.

Julia Barretto Thankful for a Good Showbiz Start; Getting Closer with Diego Loyzaga

Posted on July 10, 2013 | 4:10 PM

Kapamilya teen star Julia Barretto is grateful to ABS-CBN for getting her career off to a good start with the top-rating “Wansapanataym” special, which she topbills alongside child wonders Zaijian Jaranilla and Xyriel Manabat.

Julia Barretto Thankful for a Good Showbiz Start; Getting Closer with Diego Loyzaga

“I’m very thankful to ABS-CBN for giving me this opportunity to be a part of another ‘Wansapanataym’ special. Aside from being my training ground in acting, it also gives us the chance to teach and impart kiddie TV viewers with good values,” said Julia, who admittedly enjoys working with Zaijian and Xyriel. “I enjoy spending time with them on the set because they are like my younger siblings. They are fun to be with, kind and very professional.”

Meanwhile, unlike the good working relationship of Julia, Zaijian, and Xyriel in real life, the friendship of their characters in “Wansapanataym Presents Petrang Paminta” will be tested this Saturday (July 13), as Aya (Xyriel) tells the secret of her sister Petra (Julia) and the ‘prince of peppers’ Pampam (Zaijian) to others. Now that their world is in danger, dwarves decide to throw Pampam out of their kingdom and transform him into a human. How will Pampam’s friendship with the sisters change especially now that the love of his life Petra is getting closer with her childhood friend Sancho (Diego Loyzaga)?

Together with Julia, Xyriel, Diego, and Zaijian are Ruby Rubi, Kiray Celis, Atak Aranas, Maricar de Mesa, Epy Quizon, Jayson Gainza, Tess Antonio, Joey Paras, Jeff Luna, and Alora Sasam. Based from the novel of Pablo Gomez, “Wansapanataym Presents Petrang Paminta” is written by Noreen Capili, Joel Mercado, and Yam Tanangco, and directed by box-office director Wenn V. Deramas.

Don’t miss the continuation of the four-week special of the storybook of Pinoy kids, “Wansapanataym” this Saturday, 6:45pm, after “Kapamilya: Deal or No Deal” on ABS-CBN. For updates, log on to www.abs-cbn.com or follow @abscbndotcom on Twitter.
