Ejay Falcon's 'Dugong Buhay' Extended Until September

Due to consistent high ratings and public demand, ABS-CBN’s afternoon series “Dugong Buhay” starring Kapamilya Gold hunk Ejay Falcon has been extended until September this year.

“The whole cast and crew are so happy about the extension of our show. It only proves that all our efforts and hardwork pay off and that we get to entertain a lot of people,” said Ejay. “I am also glad that our viewers will get to know the new Victor better and that they will be part of his future life battles.”

Since “Dugong Buhay” premiered last April, afternoon viewers instantly got hooked with the TV remake of Carlo J. Caparas’ novel and cinematic production of the hit Kapamilya action-drama series directed by Toto Natividad.

The narrative of “Dugong Buhay” is so striking that Ejay himself is fascinated with its story and his well-known character Victor. “I’m so connected with my role that sometimes I feel that we are one and the same person. But in real life, I am just like Victor who values his family so much.”

Ejay further shared that TV viewers will surely get more hooked with their show as the next episodes will feature intense action-packed encounters among the powerful men of the De Lara family.

“There are still a lot of heavy action and dramatic scenes that our viewers should watch out for. They should witness how extreme fury would consume Victor and what he would do to destroy his own family,” shared Ejay.

Gerald Anderson Peeing Photo Scandal Surfaces Online

An alleged photo scandal of Gerald Anderson spread online recently. The said photo saw Gerald peeing on the side of trail looking away from the camera but his private parts exposed.

When you look closely on the photo, you may think that it was really Gerald Anderson because of similarities in hair style, body built and skin tone. The photo also showed a beaded bracelet worn on the left arm, which Gerald was seen wearing in another photo.

Here's the alleged photo of Gerald Anderson peeing, comparing with another photo where he was wearing the same bracelet.

Many netizens were not convinced that it was Gerald Anderson and that the photo was photoshopped. The photo also hinted a  tattoo on the right wrist while the real Gerald Anderson has no tattoo on the same area. Gerald's arm hair is also more prominent compared to the one in the photo.

JC de Vera Transfers to ABS-CBN; Now a Certified Kapamilya

Hunk actor JC de Vera has signed a two-year exclusive contract with ABS-CBN on Monday, July 29. The 27-year-old actor is now officially a Kapamilya.

"Big day today! Eto na yun!" JC posted in his official Twitter account before the scheduled contract signing Monday afternoon.

JC de Vera started his showbiz career as a Kapuso way back in 2003 where he became a part of the youth-oriented show Click. Dubbed then as GMA-7 "Drama Prince," JC starred in several shows including Pati Ba Pintig ng Puso, Pasan Ko Ang Daigdig, Babangon Ako't Dudurugin Kita and Lalola.

It was in 2010 when JC de Vera left GMA Network to become a Kapatid. He  signed a three-year non-exclusive contract with TV-5 where he topbilled TV series such as My Driver Sweet Lover, Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum, and Valiente. He also became a part of the gag show Loko Moko U.

After leaving GMA-7, JC de Vera is rumored to be playing Judy Ann Santos' leading man in the 2010 teleserye Habang May Buhay, but he eventually transferred to TV-5. After his TV-5 contract expired early this year, JC de Vera also did not renew his management contract with manager Annabelle Rama. He just finished his commitment in Cassandra: Warrior Angel before jumping ship to the Kapamilya network.

As the newest Kapamilya, JC will now realize his dream of starring in his very first MMK episode. Talks abound see JC de Vera as one of the potential actors to reprise the role of Captain Barbell when ABS-CBN starts its own production of the hit Mars Ravelo work.

JC de Vera, who is now being managed by Leo Dominguez, said that he would like to play leading man to Kim Chiu, Kaye Abad and Maja Salvador. JC will be part of Dreamscape Entertainment Television unit of Deo Endrinal and will soon appear in a Kapamilya teleserye.

The Voice PH Battle Rounds Results (July 28): Lee Grane, Tristhan, Morissette, Mitoy Won Battles

The Battle Rounds of The Voice of the Philippines kicked off Sunday (July 28) and the first pair from each team went head-to-head for a slot at the live shows.

In 'The Battles', the coaches paired up their artists and have them face off in singing showdown to determine who will stay and who will go. At the end of the match-up, the coach must pick which artist will be sent home, and which artist will move on to the Live Shows.

First to went up the battles stage were Team Apl's Tristhan Perfecto and Lorenzana siblings (Guji and Grace) in a threesome number of Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I'm Yours) by Stevie Wonder. KC Concepcion is Darna, Jericho Rosales is Captain Barbell

Actress-host KC Concepcion and actor Jericho Rosales took on the role of the Filipino heroic icons Darna and Captain Barbell during the opening number of ASAP 18 on Sunday, July 28.

Jericho Rosales, donning Captain Barbell's yellow suit, was revealed as the alter-ego of the weak boy Teng, played by Sam Concepcion after the latter raised the magic barbell. Meanwhile, KC Concepcion appeared first as the ordinary Narda before she delivered the immortal line "Ding, ang bato!" to emerge as the superheroine Darna.

Rayver Cruz also played one of Mars Ravelo's superheroes, Lastikman in the ASAP opening dance number while Iya Villania, John Pratts and Arron Villaflor played the villains.

Since ABS-CBN has acquired the exclusive rights to the popular works of Mars Ravelo, including Darna and Captain Barbell, do you think KC and Echo are fit to portray these iconic superheroes when the network starts production of their own remake?

ABS-CBN has yet to choose who will portray Darna and Captain Barbell, but KC, Angel Locsin, Cristine Reyes, Sarah Geronimo and Jessy Mendiola have been considered by many as potential perfect fits for Darna while Echo, Gerald Anderson, Sam Milby, JC De Vera, Joseph Marco and Luis Manzano have been considered to be potential Captain Barbell.

Billy Crawford Reveals Reason for Break up with Nikki Gil on The Buzz (July 28)

International performer Billy Crawford finally broke his silence on his break up with Nikki Gil when he sat in an exclusive interview with host Boy Abunda on The Buzz Sunday, July 28.

Early this week, reports of Billy and Nikki's separation surprised everyone (read report here) followed by the confirmation from the couple's management. However, the two were mum on the issue until Billy's guesting on The Buzz to clarify the issue once and for all.

An emotional Billy Crawford confirmed the break up to host Boy Abunda. However, he denied that a third party is involved. He said that he was lost and needed to find himself first.

"Nawawala ako. I'm very lost, very confused. Walang kinalaman si Nikki. It all boils down to me," said Billy. "When it comes to finding the right one, it's hard to find the right one kung ikaw mismo not right. I forgot what makes me happy. I forgot who I am. I don't know what I'm doing."

"She has no fault. I'm not a perfect guy nor a perfect person. I've done some things that I regret. She's supportive, she was there but I'm the one who's completely lost and I'm searching, find myself."

Billy said that he never wanted to do the interview but he just needed to clarify all the issue and clear all speculations before he leave for the US on August 3 to spend the much-needed time with his family. He also said that he still love Nikki, who he said fought hard for the relationship.

"Honestly Tito boy, it's so hard to love someone and to continue if I don't even love myself, if I am unhappy. I lover her, I still do but it's unfair to continue. I don't want to continue to hurt her. [I did not fell out of love], I just fell out of the face of the earth."

"I feel such a bad person to be honest. Sometimes I feel like I'm not good enough. Importante pala na mahanap mo ang sarili mo muna. Kung maligaya ka, mas madaling magpaligaya ng ibang tao. The latter part of our relationship, hindi ko siya napaligaya. Nasaktan ko siya," Billy told Boy when asked what he learned from the relationship.

Billy said that his The Buzz interview will be the first and the last time that he will be talking about the issue. When asked what his prayer would be, Billy said, "Save me. I feel like the devil's really strong and I feel defeated. All I can ask for is forgiveness."

"Only God knows [if this is really the end of my relationship with Nikki]."

Billy ended his interview with this one very short message for Nikki Gil: "I hope you understand."

Angel Locsin Hosts 'It's Showtime' Once a Week

Actress Angel Locsin is now officially part of It's Showtime family. Angel was welcomed on the show Saturday (July 27) where her hosting ability was tested.

Hosting a noontime show is a new arena for Angel, who has already proven herself as a dramatic actress and teleserye action star. She was also successful in trying comedy via weekly show Toda Max, which has been extended for several seasons.

As a newbie in hosting, Angel wanted to observe and test herself first and for the meantime, will co-host It's Showtime every Saturday.

"Once a week muna ako. I’m glad Jun Santiago (the show’s business unit head) understands. Sabi ko sa kanya, let me test the water first, kumbaga," said Angel Locsin, who will also be busy taping for her upcoming primetime teleserye Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin with Jericho Rosales and Maja Salvador. "First time kong mag-host ng isang TV program kaya please bear with me ha."

Angel's hosting debut was met with enthusiasm by fans and her "ninang dance" was a hit among netizens. She also got the chance to meet personally her kalokalike, who according to Angel was her peg in styling her hair for the episode.

When the news of Angel Locsin joining It's Showtime came out last month, there were talks saying that Eat Bulaga will also be hiring the services of Marian Rivera, who has always been pitted against the Kapamilya actress.

Will Angel's presence on It's Showtime boost the ratings of the said ABS-CBN noontime show? Lately, It's Showtime has been behind rival Eat Bulaga in the ratings game. 

Just a thought: Aside from getting Angel as host, the show might also consider introducing new innovative segments, to at least bring back the interest of viewers. The ratings slipped down after the finals of Kalokalike and the impact of 'Bida Kabarkada' is yet to be felt.

Emmanuelle Vera, Sarah's Idol Co-Star, Joins Team Apl of The Voice of the Philippines

Coach Sarah Geronimo's former co-star in the musical TV series Idol, Emmanuelle Vera sought for a second chance in the business by auditioning in The Voice of the Philippines. 

Emmanuelle Vera, who appeared in the said teleserye as Sarah's nemesis, also had an album where she had a duet with rock princess Yeng Constantino (watch the music video here). In her audition, Emman sang Somewhere Over The Rainbow and Coach Apl just loved her rendition, to the point that he first went down his chair before pushing the chair's button. 

Sarah, meanwhile, regret her decision of not turning for Emman. However, she got another Idol co-star in the person of DJ Lamar (Dave Jonathan Lamar), the other half of The Lamars. She has completed her team of 13, which also includes the youngest contender, Rouxette Swinton from Bulacan.
