Expect two long weekends coming. MalacaƱang has declared October 26, 2012, Friday, as a regular holiday to mark the celebration of Eid'l Adha through Proclamation No. 488, s. 2012.
Eidul Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims across the globe to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Isma'il as an act of obedience to God.
Meanwhile, November 1 (All Saints Day), which falls on a Thursday and November 2 (All Souls Day), a Friday were also declared as special non-working holidays by virtue of Proclamation No. 295, s. 2011. October 31, however is yet to be declared as a non-working day.
