Xian Lim's 'So It's You' Album is Best-Selling Album for 2 Weeks Now

Actor-model-recording artist Xian Lim's debut album, So It's You topped Astrovision/Astroplus' list of Best-Selling albums for 2 weeks now. Xian's album had been consistent no. 1 both in the OPM category and Over-all (OPM and foreign combined) since its release.

Under Star Records, “So It’s You” features five tracks including its carrier single “Puso Kong Hibang,” which is Xian Lim’s original composition. Completing the tracklist are the other “My Binondo Girl” theme song “Ako’y Sa’yo Lamang,” and Xian Lim’s revivals of OPM hit songs “So It’s You,” “Reaching Out” and “Oh Babe.”

'The Kitchen Musical' Soundtrack Album, Released!

Pan-Asian genre-busting and award-winning TV series, The Kitchen Musical had already released the soundtrack album for its very first season. The Kitchen Musical Season 1 Soundtrack album is now available in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines!

The Kitchen Musical which includes in the cast Filipino actors Karylle and Christian Bautista, as well as Art Acuña, Ikey Canoy and Thou Reyes was aired on different countries across Asia and Europe.

Celebrate the music of “The Kitchen Musical,” topbilled by Karylle, Christian Bautista, Stephen Rahman-Hughes, Rosemary Vanderbrouke, and Art Acuna, with the release of the much-awaited release of its soundtrack’s first volume, which features some of the most memorable hits of different decades given exciting twist.

Christian Bautista Confirms Talks on Network Transfer

Asia's Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista confirmed that there has been a talk between him and TV5. Christian admitted that TV5 has offered him an opportunity to host an upcoming reality singing contest in the Kapatid network.


Although there has been talks on network transfer, Christian said that there is noting final yet as he still had a contract with ABS-CBN until August this year.

“Wala pa namang final. Nagkaroon lang ng pag-uusap, ng negotiation. I’m still under contract with ABS-CBN until August. After August, tignan po natin,” said Christian during the press launch of his coffee table book, “First Class.”

“Life goes on, work goes on, but we’ll see if there are opportunities when the contract ends,” he added.

Christian also revealed that his girlfriend, The Kitchen Musical co-star Carla Dunareanu, is also open to working in the Philippines if ever there are opportunities.

“Carla’s staying here until June, looking for work in any channel. Kung merong work kami na makita for her, then why not? Gusto niya i-try dito sa Philippines,” he said. Carla Dunareanu is currently based in Singapore.

“The Kitchen Musical,” a pan-Asian musical series, recently won a Gold World Medal for Best Writing and a Bronze World Medal for Best Performance at the 2012 New York Festival.

“I feel relieved, masaya, kasi na-reward-an kami, ‘yung mga ginawa namin,” Bautista said about their achievement.

The grandest teleserye on primetime, Princess and I premiered last night and the pilot episode was filled with the picturesque of the beautiful Kingdom of Bhutan which was known in the story as the fictional Yangdon. 


The grandeur of the set was accompanied by the royal gongs and musical score fit for royalty. The theme song of Princess and I entitled Nag-iisang Bituin sung by Christian Bautista and Angeline Quinto was first heard in the official trailer of the said teleserye. The song is also part of Angeline's 2nd album, 'Fall In Love Again' which is one of the top-selling albums in major record stores today.

The Kitchen Musical Bags 2 New York Festivals Nominations

The smash hit pan-Asian musical-cooking TV series “The Kitchen Musical,” which aired on Philippine free TV via Studio 23, has been nominated for two categories at the prestigious 2012 New York Festivals under the International Television & Film Awards competition for “Best Writing” and “Best Performance.”

On its 55th year, the New York Festivals s World’s Best Television & Films honors the “World’s Best Work™” in news, sports, documentary, information and entertainment programs which mirror today’s global trends and encourage the next generation of story-tellers. The Kitchen Musical was chosen amongst entries from 40 countries worldwide.


This year’s ceremony will be held on April 17th in conjunction with The National Association of Broadcasters show in Las Vegas.

“It is such an honor for a small company like ours to be recognized by a long-standing established body such as the New York Festival. These acknowledgments from a jury of award-winning industry professionals from around the world who are recognized as leaders in their respective fields, will propel us to continue to follow our instincts, buck the trend, and produce creations that increase the happiness quotients globally,” said CheeK, creator of “The Kitchen Musical” and Head of Creative for TGE.

An original production by The Group Entertainment, The Kitchen Musical is a genre-busting TV series featuring drama, music and food served in 13 one-hour episodes. It is a story about a rich, young girl fresh out of culinary school who embarks on a journey of self-discovery when she starts working for The Avilon, her father’s restaurant. It aired in 17 countries across Asia in October 2011. Local versions of the series are currently in the works for Italy, India and Vietnam.

The series features a pool of international talents including British thespian Stephen Rahman-Hughes, Filipino powerhouses Karylle Tatlonghari and Christian Bautista, Hong Kong actress-supermodel Rosemary Vandenbroucke and New York based Filipino stage actor, Arthur Acuña.

After the success of the show’s season one launch, it goes for asecond run starting May 2012 across multiple platforms including more broadcasts on “Free-to-Air” stations across Asia.

Starting March 5th this year, The Kitchen Musical Season One soundtrack album is made available via Universal Music in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Indonesia, and will be launched by Universal Records in the Philippines this April, followed by Korea, Taiwan and Thailand.

Sarah Geronimo and Christian Bautista Live In Dubai This March 10

Sarah Geronimo and Christian Bautista will be part of the annual du World Music Festival in Dubai, UAE this March 10. The said event will be held at Burj Park Dowtown Dubai. Former ASAP champion, Mark Bautista will also be joining Sarah and Christian in the said concert event.


Kicking off the 10-day festival will be Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan on March 7, followed by flamenco band The Gipsy Kings the next day and acts including Egyptian pop star Amr Diab, Filipino singers Sarah Geronimo and Christian Bautista, British singer Gabrielle, American guitarist George Benson and Egyptian composer Omar Khairat on consecutive evenings.

Free concerts will include performances by American jazz musicians Stanley Clarke and Pat Martino, Indian composer Amit Chatterjee, Malian singer Salif Keita, Emirati singer Mansoor Zayed and percussionist Trilok Gurtu and his band from India.

Tickets for each performance vary and will range between Dh150 (regular standing) and Dh995 (Platinum Seated). Performances begin at 7pm. For tickets, you may log on this website.

Christian Bautista and Carla Dunareanu is Official!

Actor-singer Christian Bautista admitted that he is now in a romantic relationship with his The Kitchen Musical co-star Carla Dunareanu. Christian's new girl is a Singaporean-based actress, model and dancer. It can be recalled that Christian and Carla were caught on cam having a dinner date last January 18 with other Kitchen Musical stars, Karylle (with rumored bf Yael Yuzon) and Art Acuna (with his wife, Maritina Romulo) (Read story here).


In an interview with ABS-CBNNews.com during the launch of his album "First Class: Outbound Expanded Edition" on Tuesday morning, Bautista shared that their romance started from the friendship they developed while they were doing the pan-Asian show.

Christian also revealed that he is happy in love right now. Although their relationship is somewhat long distance, the singer took time to call Carla everyday and every month, they personally meet.

Christian revealed that they become on officially on Valentine's Day. He expressed his seriousness on the matter and via Skype, he and Carla had a common understanding of a romantic relationship.

Carla Dunareanu is currently in Manila to watch Christian's concert with Karylle at the Newport Performing Arts Theatre, Resorts World Manila entitled Love and Laughter with Nanette Inventor.

Christian Bautista's Latest Album: 'First Class' Outbound Expanded Edition

In celebration of Christian Bautista’s 10th anniversary in showbiz, Universal Records is releasing his highly-anticipated First Class: Outbound Expanded Edition album.


This CD, which has a limited edition coffee table book, includes nine new tracks, five hits from the original Outbound, and new recording of his earlier hits Hands To Heaven and The Way You Look At Me.

“This album is really special because it celebrates my 10 years in showbiz,” says Christian. “This is really an important project because this marks my return to doing originals. I am extremely happy also that I was given this chance to re-record two of my biggest hits. Recording those tracks brought so many memories.”

The album’s carrier single Beautiful To Me, a sweeping ballad, will be launched this February 26 on ASAP 2012.


Christian also expressed excitement over the chance to work with some of the most promising artists of this generation Angeline Quinto for In Love With You, originally recorded by Regine Velasquez and Asian superstar Jacky Cheung, and KC Concepcion for We Could Be In Love, first interpreted by Lea Salonga and Brad Kane.

Famed band Neocolours reunites to collaborate with Christian on the original Sasabihin.

As part of his celebration of 10 years in the business, Christian goes full circle by having a duet with Sam Concepcion for Rescue You, composed by Singapore-based Tat Tong. Christian and Sam were launched into showbiz via The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe almost a decade ago.

Japanese Pop singer Baby M also has a duet with Christian in the album – In My Arms.

The album includes impressive original tracks like Love You This Much, Let Go, and Whole. The theme of A Special Symphony, I’m Already King, is also included with Outbound tracks All That’s Left, Faith, What Can I Do, Unphotographable.

“This is a very important album, so I am really hoping everyone can support me,” admits Christian. “We have worked hard to make this album a fitting tribute to my 10 years in showbiz.”
