Dyesebel Second Trailer Shows Little Mermaids, Anne Curtis' Grace Under Water

ABS-CBN premiered the second trailer of the highly-anticipated TV adaptation of Mars Ravelo's Dyesebel Monday night on primetime bida. The new trailer featured the little Dyesebel and her life under the sea.

The trailer also showed Anne Curtis as the lovelorn mermaid Dyesebel and how she moves and makes a splash under water. It can be noticed that the production team re-shoot some scenes shown in the first trailer which garnered negative reactions from netizens.

Mars Ravelo's Dyesebel premieres Monday (March 17) on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida after TV Patrol. Watch the second trailer (Ang Paglangoy) of Dyesebel below.

Honesto Airs Finale Episode on Friday (March 14)

ABS-CBN’s top-rating Primetime Bida drama series “Honesto” inspires TV viewers to continue advocating its call for honesty and sincerity as it airs its most inspiring finale on Friday (March 14). 

Tension rises in the last week of “Honesto” as Honesto (Raikko Mateo) discovers that Diego (Paulo Avelino) is his real father and as Hugo Layer (Joel Torre) becomes menacingly evil and greedy. 

How will Diego keep the peace within their family now that his own father is trying to bring him down? In the end, will Honesto be able to convince Hugo to change and live an honest life?

National TV Ratings (March 7): Got to Believe 'Best Ending Ever' Hits 38.6%

The finale episode of Got To Believe, dubbed as the 'Best Ending Ever' was the most watched TV show last Friday (March 7) with 38.6% national TV rating, the highest it got on its entire run. The finale episode beat Honesto which came in second. Meanwhile, the show's rival program Carmela only registered 13.6% nationwide.

Vice Ganda Best Actor, KC Concepcion Best Actress at 30th PMPC Star Awards for Movies 2014

Comedian Vice Ganda and actress-host KC Concepcion bagged the major acting awards at the 30th PMPC Star Awards for Movies 2014 held March 9 at Solaire Resort Hotel in Paranaque City.

Vice Ganda won Best Actor for his role as quadruplets with different sexual orientations in the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival entry Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy. 

KC Concepcion, on the other hand, won Best Actress for her role as the stripper Marla Dee in the action flick Shoot to Kill: Boy Golden, also an entry to the MMFF 2013.

Both Vice Ganda and KC Concepcion were favored to win the top acting plums in the annual MMFF but the two Kapamilya stars eventually lost to Robin Padilla (10,000 Hours) and Maricel Soriano (Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy), respectively.

Meanwhile, On The Job of Star Cinema and Reality Entertainment was big winner at the 30th PMPC Star Awards for Movies 2014 with seven awards including Movie of the Year, Best Director for Erik Matti and Best Supporting Actor for Joey Marquez.

30th PMPC Star Awards for Movies 2014 Winners

The 30th PMPC Star Awards for Movies awarding ceremonies happened March 9, 2014 at the Solaire Resort Hotel in Paranaque City. The awards night was hosted by Robi Domingo, Maja Salvador, Toni Gonzaga and Piolo Pascual.

Star Cinema and Reality Entertainment's highly-acclaimed film On The Job emerged as the big winner and was hailed Movie of the Year.

Vice Ganda clinched the Best Actor trophy for his role as quadruplets with different sexual orientations in Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy while KC Concepcion was hailed Best Actress for her role as Marla Dee in MMFF 2013 entry Shoot to Kill: Boy Golden.

In celebration of its 30th year, the PMPC cited the best achievements of some of the industry's notable artists during the last decade (2003-2013). Its Dekada Awardees include:

Actresses Judy Ann Santos, Eugene Domingo, Ai-Ai delas Alas; Actors Aga Muhlach, John Lloyd Cruz, Jericho Rosales, Dennis Trillo, Piolo Pascual, Baron Geisler; and film directors Joel Lamangan, Jose Javier Reyes, Maryo J. delos Reyes, Mark Meily, Olivia Lamasan, and Jerrold Tarog.

ABS-CBN's late night gag show 'Banana Split Extra Scoop' poked fun at the rape case filed by beauty pageant contestant Roxanne Cabanero against actor-host Vhong Navarro in its episode aired Saturday (March 8).

In the said spoof, Banana Split focused on Roxanne Cabanero's changing statements regarding the date of the alleged rape. It can be recalled that Roxanne first said that she was reaped on April 24, 2010 but later denied that her camp gave a specific date when Vhong's camp showed evidences that the actor was actually in a concert that time.

Filipinos definitely want their daily dose of ‘vitamin bee’ brought to them by “The Singing Bee,” as the hit musical game show has consistently ruled its timeslot and beat its rival program in the ratings game since it started airing on weekday mornings.

Viewers nationwide warmly welcomed “The Singing Bee” as the show hit an average national TV rating  of 14.8% in its pilot week (Feb 24 to 28), or nine points higher than GMA’s “Tunay Na Buhay” with only 5.6%, based on data from Kantar Media. It also debuted strongly last February 24, recording a national TV rating of 15.8%, or almost triple that of “Tunay Na Buhay’s” 5.7%.

Yeng Constantino Engaged to Boyfriend Yan Asuncion

Rock princess Yeng Constantino is now engaged to boyfriend Yan Asuncion. The 24-year-old singer made the announcement on her Instagram account on Saturday.

In an Instagram post, Yeng Constantino confirmed her engagement to Indios lead vocalist Yan Asuncion. Yeng posted a photo of two holding hands, showing her engagement ring. The singer wrote, "I said Yes" in the accompanying caption.

It can be recalled that Yeng also announced her relationship with Yan via an Instagram post. The ASAP mainstay posted then a photo of her with Yan with the following caption:

"Marami akong tanong tungkol sa pag-ibig simula pa noon… Totoo pala na pag naranasan mo saka mo lang tuluyang maiintindihan… sa lahat ng dumaan sa buhay ko, sayo lang ako hindi natakot sumagot ng “Oo”… Nawala lahat ng takot at lahat ng pangamba… ang payapa ng puso ko.. sa bawat araw lalo pa lumalago ang pag-ibig ko para sayo… Nagpapasalamat ako kay God sa regalong ito.. ito na ang pinakamalupit na regalong natanggap ko.. I love you Love… peksman! Hahaha!"

Yeng Constantino and Yan Asuncion  met through a common friend and did hang out for a number of times. Yan started courting Yeng when they met again following a long period of not seeing each other and officially became a couple last June 2013. 

Yan Asuncion is Yeng Constantino's first (and last) boyfriend.

The kids head over to experience Japan’s culture and lifestyle, and they’ll be sharing their experience with tips and hilarious sketches for everyone to enjoy. Also joining them in their trip are former cast members Nash Aguas, Sharlene San Pedro, Miles Ocampo, and Igiboy Flores–making for an even more fun and extra memorable travel experience.
