Newly-weds Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi are on the cover of YES! Magazine January 2013 issue. YES! magazine takes its readers behind the scenes of the much talked about surprise wedding of the year with more than 140 photos.

Aside from the details of Zoren-Carmina wedding, YES! January issue also weighs in on the controversy surrounding the love affair between Kapamilya actress Andi Eigenmann and Jake Ejercito presenting two versions of the story, that of Andi and that of Jake. 

YES! also have a feature on the life of Grace Poe Llamanzares, the daughter of the late Fernando Poe Jr. and Susan Roces. The MTRCB chair-turned senatorial candidate also opens up her three-story American Colonial-inspired home in Quezon City and shows us her prized collection of artworks, some of which were done by National Artists.

The Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi wedding happened last November 15 at the Fernbrook Gardens in Alabang, Muntinlupa City. The actress-TV host Carmina Villaroel was surprised by his partner of 12 years, Zoren Legaspi with a grand proposal and solemn civil wedding, a first in Philippine showbiz.

The big surprise which was organized for almost two months by Zoren, with the help of their families, their twins Mavy and Cassy, and ABS-CBN shocked Carmina since all she knew was that they will be having a wedding-themed photoshoot for their endorsement.

The wedding special of Carmina and Zoren dubbed as "Zoren-Carmina: Always Forever, A Wedding Like No Other" was aired on ABS-CBN on November 24 after "Maalaala Mo Kaya." Teary-eyed Carmina was shocked and blissful at the same time when she suddenly walked down the aisle in a wedding she never had any idea of. All she knew that she was there to for a photoshoot of a commercial. The big surprise which was organized for almost two months by Zoren, with the help of their families, their twins Mavy and Cassy, and ABS-CBN.

“Finally, this is it! It’s not actually needed but Zoren made it happen. I’m really super happy,” said Carmina during his exclusive interview with “Showbiz Inside Report” which will be shown this Saturday (November 17) on ABS-CBN.

Among those who were invited in the suprise wedding were Carmina and Zoren’s family member and close friends in and out of showbiz. Grace Poe Llamanzares, Eric Quizon, and Kris Aquino were among their godparents.

Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi Wedding Came as A Surprise

Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi tied the knot on Thursday, November 15 at the Fernbrook Gardens in Alabang, Muntinlupa. After 12 years of living together, the couple finally said their "I Do's" in a civil wedding which came off as a surprise to the bride.

The said wedding was a surprise of Zoren Legaspi to partner Carmina Villaroel, with the bride unaware that she will be attending her own wedding and not a scheduled photo shoot for the brand they're endorsing.

Zoren, with the help of his children with Carmina, Cassie and Maverick, as well colleagues of the actress-host from ABS-CBN, carried out the surprise proposal and wedding ceremony. Zoren first pretended to fight with the crew of the fake shoot before proposing to Carmina under a man-made cherry blossoms tree, the latter's favorite. The guests also did a flash mob led by G-Force to the tune of Rihanna's We Found Love.

The sponsors included business mogul Ben Chan, actress Kris Aquino, senatorial aspirant Grace Poe, and actor-director Eric Quizon.

Celebrity guests included Susan Roces, Maricel Soriano, Mother Lily Monteverde, Gelli de Belen, Aiko Melendez, Candy Pangilinan, Janice de Belen, Joey Marquez, Amy Austria, Tirso Cruz III, and Joel Torre.

Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi Plan to Get Married this Year

After 14 years, “Lorenzo’s Time” lead star Carmina Villaroel and her long-time life partner Zoren Legaspi plan to finally tie the knot this year through a civil wedding as Carmina herself recently confirmed.

“I do not want a big wedding firstly because we are both shy. We want it to be really simple with only our families in attendance,” she said.

According to Carmina, despite the absence of marriage, she is very happy with her life with Zoren and their twins Mavy at Cassy. “It’s not a typical relationship. Zoren is a perfect match for me because he always understands me and lets me be myself. I won’t be who I am today without him,” she said.

Meanwhile, Carmina’s birthday this year was made memorable by the staff and her co-stars in the top-rating Primetime Bida teleserye of ABS-CBN, “Lorenzo’s Time.”

“I celebrated my birthday on our taping. It’s so much fun because they all sang for me, I had my birthday cake, there were balloons, and we did nothing but eat,” shared Carmina.

Like Carmina, the life of the main character in “Lorenzo’s Time,” Enzo (Zaijan Jaranilla), seems to be getter better too. Because aside from the love of Yaya Bel (Gina Pare ño) and his renewed closeness with Kathy (Carmina), Enzo’s friendship with his ‘brod’ Jonas (James Blanco) continues to strengthen. Video: Ruffa Gutierrez on Paparazzi June 23 (Birthday Celebration)

Ruffa Gutierrez celebrated her birthday on TV5's talk show Paparazzi on June 23 and the episode became controversial as Ruffa tweeted that the show disrespected her hours after the airing of the said birthday episode.

In the 'Bulong ng Palad' segment of the show, Ruffa's co-hosts Cristy Fermin, Zoren Legaspi, Mr. Fu and guest co-host Mariel Rodriguez took turns in whispering questions to her. Mr. Fu asked Ruffa the question of who among his ex-boyfriends had the largest 'ehem.'

Mr. Fu said:

Pag tinanong kita dapat friends pa rin tayo ha, wag mo seseryosohin yung tanong. Eto na ang tanong ko. Choices: Aga, Zoren, Robin. Sino ang may pinakamalaking.........

Ruffa Gutierrez then answered:

Alam mo you are so gross. I'm not answering that. Wala akong alam dyan. Next question. Ewan ko, di ko sasagutin yan.

Ruffa Gutierrez Quits Paparazzi, Says She was Disrespected by the Show

TV host-actress Ruffa Gutierrez said that she is quitting TV5's showbiz-oriented talk show Paparazzi after the show "disrespected" her on its June 23 episode where Ruffa celebrated her birthday.

In her official Twitter account, Ruffa Gutierrez said that she was maligned by Paparazzi during her birthday. Ruffa, who co-hosted the talk show, tweeted that she will not tolerate any act of disrespect to her and members of her family.


Here are the series of tweets of Ruffa Gutierrez against Paparazzi:

"Hindi ako natutuwa sa birthday presentation ng Paparazzi para sa akin. Wala kayong kwenta at wala kayong respeto."

"Binastos ako ng #Paparazzi on my birthday. I'm so sorry but THE BUZZ would never do this to me. EVER!" 

"From this day on, I will no longer be part of Paparazzi. I will never tolerate DISRESPECT in any form done to me, to my children or to my beloved viewers" 

"I refuse to be part of trashy reporting that degrades people or shames others. #Paparazzi" 

"I know God will provide work for me in other ways so I can take care of my daughters"

Why Ruffa tweeted that way?

During the Saturday episode of the show, Ruffa's co-hosts, Cristy Fermin, Zoren Legaspi, Mr. Fu and guest co-host Mariel Rodriguez took turns in whispering questions to her in the 'Bulong ng Palad' segment of the show. The segment allows the hosts to ask naughty questions without the audience hearing them but the guest is expected to answer it aloud.

According to reports, Ruffa was asked on who has the biggest note among her former boyfriends - Aga Muhlach, Zoren Legaspi and Robin Padilla.

Ruffa Gutierrez expressed discomfort, asking why the questions were of such nature. She also cautioned that her parents were watching, and even greeted them on air.

TV5, in a statement said that the "management is seriously concerned about the turn of events today at Paparazzi and is now looking into the incident." The network also promised everyone that it shall take appropriate action.
