Got to Believe, Against All Odds (Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala) Make Waves Internationally

Two of ABS-CBN’s top-rating dramas, the light romantic-comedy “Got to Believe” and action-suspense-drama “Against All Odds’ (“Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala”) received overwhelming response from participants of the annual Asian Television Forum (ATF) held in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore last December 2013.

Obsina Sisters of 'Biggest Loser Doubles' Now Sexy Nurses (Photos)

Nurse sisters Dianne and Tin Obsina lost the chance to become the second Pinoy Biggest Loser after getting eliminated from “The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition Doubles,” following its first competitive weigh-in this week.

Dianne and Tin were voted out by their co-contestants against officemates Mai and Bien, who also fell below the yellow line during the weigh-in. Dianne and Tin lost a total of 17 pounds or 3.76% of their combined weight after two weeks of rigorous exercises and challenges.

Married couple Carl and Kayen, meanwhile, were named the Biggest Losers of the week for losing the highest percentage of weight, 8.41% or 43 pounds.

While Dianne and Tin had reservations about going home for fear of disappointing their mother, they were happy to take with them lessons they learned during their stay in the camp.

“We learned to stop getting carried away by anxiety. There were many things here in the camp that intimidated us, and we thought we wouldn’t overcome them. But we did,” said Dianne.

Tin also promised the remaining contestant pairs that she and her sister would continue to shed the pounds after exiting the camp.  “Thank you for trusting us that we can do it outside. Good luck on the rest of your journey. We promise you that we’ll be sexy when we see each other again,” Tin vowed.

The show’s bigating doubles are off to face another unique challenge, which will require them to play teacher and student. The teacher will be the one to train his or her partner (student) to lose weight. In the second competitive weigh-in, only the weight of the student will be determined.

Julie (Toni Gonzaga), who chooses to stay up and wait for him so that they can have dinner together, finds herself disappointed when she finds out that he had already eaten before coming home. 

Even Nanay Loi (Sandy Andolong) and Daddy V (Rico Puno) have something to say about the issue, creating a problem in the whole household.

The Singing Bee Airs Weekdays Starting February 24, Introduces 'Battle of the Champions'

ABS-CBN’s hit musical game show “The Singing Bee,” hosted by Roderick Paulate and Amy Perez, brings five times thefun and thrill as it starts airing on weekdays beginning this Monday (Feb 24).

Previously airing on Saturdays, “The Singing Bee” will now spice up viewers’ mornings as Kuya Dick, Amy, the Songbees, the Bandble Bee, and the Honeybees bring musical daily bonding to the family.

The chances of winning also double up, because there will be champion of the day every Monday to Thursday, who will return and face off in the battle of the champions on Fridays for the chance to win up to P1 million.

Kapamilya viewers, whether they’re at home or out on the streets, can also win exciting prizes as “The Singing Bee” goes out and roves around to test their musicality and knowledge in song lyrics.

Controversial lawyer Atty. Raymond Fortun graces Gandang Gabi Vice in a hilarious episode airing February 23. Atty. Fortun is former spokesman to Cedric Lee, who is involved in the mauling of Vice Ganda's friend and It's Showtime co-host Vhong Navarro.

It's interesting to know how Atty. Fortun will answer Vice Ganda's questions related to the case, especially that of Deniece Cornejo and Cedric Lee's elevator kissing. Also, he will be dancing the 'One minute dance craze' for the first time on GGV, a dance step inspired by Deniece Cornejo's Startalk interview.

Julia Montes in 'Three-in-One' in Wansapanataym February 22 Episode

Kapamilya actress Julia Montes will teach TV viewers the importance of loving one’s self this Saturday (February 22) in ABS-CBN’s award-winning fantasy-drama anthology “Wansapanataym.” 

In the episode titled ‘Three in One,’ Julia will portray the role of Trina, a young woman from the province who wishes to get the acceptance of the people in the city. 

Because of her desire to dress up and be like her classmates, Trina is given a magical stone that will give her the ability to create a new ‘Trina’ that has the kind of personality she wants to have. 

Will Trina finally learn to love and accept herself when she loses control of the personalities she created?

Balls Channel, the official broadcaster of the 2014 Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) World Cup^TM will give fans a preview of the upcoming tournament in its new 30-minute program, “Road to Rio” beginning Saturday (Feb 22).

The country of Brazil will host the 2014 FIFA World Cup^TM and the “Road to Rio” hosts, Philippine National football team captains Marielle Benitez and Aly Borromeo and football enthusiast and TV journalist Atom Araullo, will show what’s in store for football fans in this year’s FIFA World Cup^TM.

The “Road to Rio” will take viewers through a history lesson of football’s biggest stage including the legendary players that have delighted the crowd and their greatest plays and moments of the quad-annual event.

Benitez, Borromeo, and Araullo shift to this year’s tournament with the news and updates on the teams, their rosters and match-ups as they prepare for the FIFA World Cup^TM. They will also discuss the basic rules of football and the officials in charge of enforcing those rules on the field.

Robi Domingo Explores Hokkaido, Japan in Special Documentary (Feb 23)

Kapamilya host and TV personality Robi Domingo takes viewers to the winter wonderland of Hokkaido, Japan to see what it has to offer in “Lakwatsero sa Hokkaido,” a special documentary that airs this Sunday (Feb 23) on ABS-CBN’s Sunday’s Best.

Hokkaido is known to be cosmopolitan yet very close to nature. Yet, very few Filipinos have been to Japan’s northernmost island, and fewer still – only about 1,200 – are actually staying there.  Thus, “Lakwatsero” will introduce Hokkaido as a place waiting to be discovered and worth exploring.

Mayor Junjun and Sen. Nancy Binay Speak up About 'Binay Controversy'

Being a Binay is difficult and more of a disadvantage, according to siblings Mayor Junjun Binay and Senator Nancy Binay, as they are more susceptible to harsh public criticism.

This is pertaining to the controversial Dasmariñas Village incident where Mayor Junjun allegedly threatened the village guards and asked them “Don’t you know me?” when his four-vehicle convoy was prohibited from exiting through one of its gates. Mayor Junjun was wildly bashed online after the CCTV video of the incident became viral.

Mayor Junjun denied the said report and claimed that it was maliciously made up. He also clarified that he did not abuse his authority.

“Obviously, the incident was wrongly reported and sensationalized. They know that people buy those kinds of stories,” Mayor Junjun explains in “Tapatan Ni Tunying,” which airs this Thursday (Feb 20).

Sen. Nancy, whose car was at the end of her brother’s convoy during the incident, also shrugged off the issue.

“I told Mayor Junjun, ‘It’s your fault because you stepped out of the car! They saw you and realized we didn’t look like people who live in the village,’” she quips.

The senator also believes that the story only escalated because some people want to tarnish the image of their father, Vice President Jejomar Binay, who plans to run for president in the 2016 national elections.

“It’s all about 2016. They can’t bring our father down. So, it is my reputation and the reputation of other people around him that are being destroyed,” she says.

Dyesebel New Teaser Shows Beautiful Underwater Scenes, Coron Paradise

ABS-CBN has released a new teaser for its upcoming TV adaptation of Mars Ravelo's Dyesebel starring Anne Curtis as the love lorn mermaid. The teaser premiered on primetime Tuesday.

The new teaser featured the beauty of Coron, Palawan. It also showed Dyesebel's grace while swimming underwater with Liro (Sam Milby) and the scorching sun kissing Fredo's body (Gerald Anderson) while journeying at sea. This also confirms that Dyesebel will have a pink tail, as what we have seen in the previous teaser.

Dyesebel, which is directed by Don Cuaresma and Francis Xavier Pasion, will take a splash on ABS-CBN primetime bida this March. Watch the new teaser below.

UAAP Season 76 Men's Football Finals (FEU vs UP) Airs Live on ABS-CBN Sports + Action Channel 23

ABS-CBN Sports+Action will air the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 76 Men’s Football Finals series between the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws and the University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons live beginning with Game 1 this Thursday (Feb 20).

FEU downed De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Archers to make their first finals appearance since winning the football crown in 2010 while UP defeated the University of Sto. Tomas (UST) Growling Tigers to return to the finals for the fourth straight season.

Also on Thursday, ABS-CBN Sports+Action will air the replay of the UAAP Women’s Football Finals between defending champion FEU Lady Tamaraws and the UST Lady Tigeresses.

Got to Believe Airs Finale Episode on March 7, Best Ending Ever!

ABS-CBN’s top-rating romantic primetime TV series “Got To Believe” is set to treat viewers with the ‘best ending ever’ as the Kathryn Bernardo-Daniel Padilla starrer ends its run on March 7 (Friday).

Since it started airing in August 2013, “Got To Believe” has captured the hearts of primetime audience and netizens through the endearing journey to a ‘magical’ love of rich kid and spoiled ‘prince’ Joaquin (Daniel) and Chichay (Kathryn), a simple girl with big dreams for her family.

Skip Beat ABS-CBN Full Trailer | Starring Super Junior Siwon and Donghae

ABS-CBN has released the full trailer of upcoming Asianovela Skip Beat starring Super Junior Siwon and Donghae with one of Taiwan's most adored actresses Ivy Chen.

Skip Beat is about Nikki (Ivy Chen) who sacrificed her university life in order to support her childhood friend and romantic goal Sam (Lee Donghae) in his pop idol career. 

However, when she learned that she's just been used by the guy, the Nikki decided to enter the entertainment world and become a bigger star to get back at him. In her journey to stardom, she will meet top star Kean (Choi Siwon) who will motivate her to become even better.
