Kahit Puso'y Masugatan Trailer, Released!

ABS-CBN has just released the trailer for its upcoming primetime teleserye, Kahit Puso'y Masugatan starring Iza Calzado, Jake Cuenca, Andi Eigenmann and Mr. Gabby Concepcion.

In Kahit Puso'y Masugatan, Iza Calzado (Andrea) and Andi Eigenmann (Veronica) will play the roles of street kids who grew up in the slums of Quiapo, Manila. Veronica will be adopted by Gabby Concepcion's character, Miguel while Andrea will remain as a simple girl.

When they grew up, Miguel will be smitten by Andrea's beauty but the girl fell with Jake Cuenca's character, Rafael. Unfortunately, Rafael is also the man Veronica wanted.

With the special participation of Mylene Dizon and Assunta De Rossi, Kahit Puso'y Masugatan will premiere this July on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida. This series is directed by box office director, Wenn Deramas.

Watch the trailer of Kahit Puso'y Masugatan below. Once the song Sayang (originally by Claire Dela Fuente but sung by Zsa Zsa Padilla for the series) plays on the background, expect goosebumps.

In Kahit Puso'y Masugatan, Iza Calzado and Andi Eigenmann will play the role of street kids in Quaipo, Manila. They grew up being best of friends until Andi was adopted by Gabby Concepcion's character. While Andi enjoys a better life, Iza remained to be a simple woman. They will meet the character of Jake Cuenca which will start a conflict between the two.

JM de Guzman Confirms Angelito: Batang Ama Sequel

Angelito himself, JM de Guzman confirmed that his hit afternoon series Angelito: Ang Batang Ama will have a sequel. Angelito ended last April and the sequel will be titled Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto.

Direk Lauren Dyogi, head of the business unit which created Angelito also confirmed the news through his twitter account. "Angelito, bagong yugto has been approved for production. Congrats to the creative n production team. Congrats direk Ted n to your cast!," tweeted Direk Lauren last May 4.

The PBB genius also confirmed the return of Charee Pineda and Kaye Abad's character in the series. New characters will also be introduced, including John Prats. The series will again be directed by Theodore Boborol.

"Angelito , Rosalie at Jenny magbabalik! Soon! Excited with the new plots n additional characters," tweeted Direk Lauren referring to JM, Charee and Kaye's characters in the series.

JM de Guzman, in an interview with the members of the press last May 29 said he is very thankful for the trust the management is giving him. He also thanked fans for support and promised more exciting twists and conflicts in the Angelito sequel.

"Thankful ako sa mga nagmahal at sumuporta. Ako sobrang honored ako sa trust na binigay sa akin," the young actor said. "Sa story conference mas maraming conflicts at bagong characters at talagang kaabang-abang," he added.

In the series finale, which aired in mid-April, Angelito (played by JM de Guzman) is reunited with his high school sweetheart Rosalie (Charee Pineda). The series followed the journey of Angelito as he faced the responsibility of being a father after he accidentally got his high school girlfriend pregnant.

Aside from Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto, de Guzman also finished shooting his Cinemalaya film Intoy Syokoy. ( see the complete list of Cinemalaya 2012 film entries here). He is also set to do a film with Andi Eigenman for Regal Films.

Video: Mon Tulfo Guests on GGV, Matches Vice Ganda's Antics!

Controversial journalist Mon Tulfo guested on Gandang Gabi Vice (GGV) the trending anniversary special week 2 last May 27. Mon Tulfo, who recently got involved in the NAIA brawl with Raymart and Claudine et al. showed his funny side during the said GGV guesting.

Mon Tulfo did not hesitate to answer Vice Ganda's questions and was always game with whatever the host threw at him. Vice Ganda indeed found a match in Mon Tulfo. His guesting on GGV made it to the top trending topics nationwide and worldwide, what with his funny side and good dance moves. Mon Tulfo danced to the tune of Wonder Girls' Nobody (but you).

Kim Chiu and Xian Lim Lead 'Ina, Anak, Kapatid' Cast

My Binondo Girl hit tandem, Kim Chiu and Xian Lim will be paired up anew in the ABS-CBN upcoming teleserye, Ina, Anak, Kapatid. Kim and Xian (KimXi) will be joined by Maja Salvador, Enchong Dee and Mr. Eddie Gutierrez.

The said teleserye has long been announced although the cast was a bit different. In early reports, Jessy Mendiola admitted that she will be co-starring with Andi Eigenmann for this new teleserye. Apparently, the two had already been replaced by Kim and Maja. Andi is now one of the leads of Kahit Puso'y Sinugatan with Iza Calzado, Jake Cuenca and Gabby Concepcion while Jessy Mendiola will be a part of Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Isla together with Matteo Guidicelli and Jewel Mische.

Enchong Dee has been attached to the project since its conception while Martin del Rosario might have been replaced by Xian Lim. Joseph Marco was also previously reported as member of the cast but we don't know yet if he end up being replaced or his role retained.

Ms. Janice De Belen, after her well-praised performance in Budoy will again show her acting skills in Ina, Anak, Kapatid. I wonder if she will play the role of the mother (Ina) which was previously rumored to be given to Jaclyn Jose (the time when Andi was cast).

Based on early reports, Ina, Anak, Kapatid tackles two siblings which are ward to rivalry. Jessy Mendiola hinted that it will have Gossip Girl as a peg. However, we cannot conclude yet what will be taken as the story itself since the cast of Ina Anak, Kapatid will just be having their story conference today.

Andi Eigenmann Leads 'Kahit Puso'y Sinugatan' Cast

Andi Eigenmann is set to topbill another big project of the Kapamilya network. This time, ABS-CBN put together Andi Eigenmann, Iza Calzado, Gabby Concepcion and Jake Cuenca in yet another winner teleserye on primetime, Kahit Puso'y Sinugatan (or Kahit Puso'y Masugatan).

Last May 7, the cast of Kahit Puso'y Sinugatan, Andi Eigenmann, Iza Calzado, Gabby Concepcion and Jake Cuenca had their look test and pictorial for their newest teleserye.

Andi was so kind to share some of their look test photos on Twitter. 

Still thankful with the praises his new afternoon series Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo has been getting, Jake Cuenca said he continues to challenge himself with every new role that comes his way.

“I’m honored, I’m very happy that ABS-CBN again has given me another great project like this,” he said in an interview with ABS-CBN news.

“I just continue to do my best, I just continue to challenge myself when it comes to portraying my roles. I just keep on trying to make the roles, each portrayal of mine different.”

Andi in her Agua Bendita days expressed how much  he wanted to work with Jake Cuenca in the future as the guy was his dream leading man. With this big project at hand together with Iza Calzado and Gabby Concepcion, Andi is living her dream, despite recent controversies she's into.

Before Andi and Jake's name figured as member's of the cast, there were reports that Angel Locsin and Derek Ramsay will be part of the series together with Iza and Gabby. It was last March when it was confirmed that Andi and Jake will be starring in this soap, prior to Derek Ramsay's transfer to TV5 and Angel Locsin's contract renewal with ABS-CBN.

Kahit Puso'y Sinugatan will be Iza Calzado's first teleserye on ABS-CBN and the comeback teleserye of Gabby Concepcion on the Kapamilya network. The series will be helmed by Wenn V. Deramas.

Andi Eigenmann: I was abused by Albie Casiño

Andi Eigenmann confessed on The Buzz, May 6 that she was physically and verbally abused by ex-boyfriend and father of her child, Albie Casiño. The actress revealed that Albie used to beat her up when they were still together.

A crying Andi Eigenmann dropped the bomb on Sunday as she recalled how Albie beat her up when she went to the latter's house to tell him about their baby.

“It was not necessarily the day na we found out because we tried and tried to check if it was really confirmed. This was around the time that our friend AJ passed away. Medyo naging cold na po kasi siya sa akin but since I was doing this alone, kailangan ko pa rin po siya kasi siya po ang daddy ng anak ko. Nung time po na iyon, siya ang boyfriend ko. Alam po niya iyon." “I went to his house, pagdating ko pa lang pinapauwi na po niya ako. He doesn’t want to talk to me anymore. He was being mean, verbally abusing me. Because he was verbally abusing me, I slapped him. Because I slapped him, he got mad at me, grabbed me by the collar, hit me against the rock wall in his garage and smacked me eight times until I went down on the floor.”

Andi also revealed to The Buzz host Boy Abunda that it was not the only time Albie beat her. Andi recounted that Albie also hit her at the Star Magic Ball after he accused her of cheating.

Albie wasn't contented with that as Andi also confessed that the former Mara Clara leading man use to threaten her that he will ruin her career. It can be recalled that Albie posted on social network Formspring that Andi cheated on him with 10 boys.

“When he said on Formspring that I cheated on him with 10 boys because he wanted to deny the fact that he beat me up, I called him right away and asked him why he had to do that. At the beginning he said sorry and that he’s gonna take it back as long as he gets to get an interview pero binawi niya po tapos sinabi niya na 'I’m going to lie and lie until I die. ‘I don’t care. You have to be ruined.’ Sisirain niya raw ang career ko. Hindi raw siya papayag na I’d go further. He’s higher than me daw because he was the bida in ‘Mara Clara.’ Those were his last words.”

Andi also revealed that Albie Casiño asked her not to agree to get a DNA test because he would be disowned by his family if they found out.

Despite all that has happened, Andi told Boy Abunda that she does not regret having loved Casiño because he is still the father of her baby. However, Andi said she'll never forget what Albie did to her everytime she sees the ex-boyfriend, what with the damaged his ex-beau had caused.

Andi Eigenmann Denies Involvement in Albie's Beating

Actress Andi Eigenmann denied that she has something to do with ex-boyfriend Albie Casiño being beaten by her friends yet admitted that she confronted Albie and splashed wine on the latter's face.

It was earlier today when Albie was assaulted by Andi's companions in a bar in Makati City. Albie reportedly incurred injuries after being beaten and hit by wine bottle on the head (read story here).

In an official statement sent to ABS-CBNnews.com on Saturday, May 5, Andi Eigenmann confirmed that she splashed wine on Albie's face but asserted that she had nothing to do with her alleged companions assaulting Albie.

“It was my first time seeing him face to face. He gave me a bad look and I felt really bad. I thought I have moved on but because of the incident wounds of the past came back.” “I admit that out of impulse, I threw wine on his face, and the next thing I heard was he was being beaten up outside.” “I ran up to ask him how he was. By his reaction and the way he was cursing at me, it seemed he readily thought I had something to do with it.”  “I was inside when it happened. I believe it should be acceptable for him to accuse me of such a thing, but I honestly don’t have anything to do with it.”

According to Albie's mother, her son is now resting after going through a CT scan and other medical tests at the Makati Medical Center. The actor’s mother, however, has yet to confirm if Albie sustained serious injuries from the alleged clash with Andi Eigenmann’s companions.

Mrs. Casiño  earlier also bared plans to file charges against those involved in the brawl.

Albie Casiño Injured After a Bar Fight with Andi Eigenmann and Friends

Young actor Albie Casiño is reportedly injured after a bar fight with ex-girlfriend Andi Eigenmann and her male friends. The incident happened early this morning, May 5 at the Fiamma Bar in Makati.

According to Albie's mother, Rina  Casiño, Albie came in face to face with Andi at the said bar which eventually led to an aggressive confrontation. Then Andi, according to Mrs. Casiño splashed wine on Albie's face and slapped him.

Mrs. Casiño said that Albie opted to clean himself in the restroom and just leave so as not to worsen the situation. However, Albie was allegedly followed  by Andi's friends to the parking lot and was hit by a wine bottle on his head.

Albie reportedly sustained multiple injuries and was rushed to Makati Medical Center. His mother was out of town and just learned what happened through her brother and Albie's road manager.

In a report by ABS-CBN news, Mrs. Rina Casiño identified 4 men, allegedly Andi Eigenmann's friends, as Frank Magalona, Carlos Concepcion, Jeck-Jeck Lacson and Neil Arce. Albie, however was unable to identify who was the one who hit him with a bottle on the head.

Albie Casiño is now resting at home after a series of tests at the Makati Medical Center. Mrs. Casiño said they have yet to find out if Albie sustained serious injuries from the alleged clash with Eigenmann’s group.

Their family has yet to file a blotter report, but is planning to file charges against those involved, according to Mrs. Casiño.

Albie is said to be the father of Andi Eigenmann’s daughter, Adrianna Gabrielle.

Jake Cuenca and Andi Eigenmann Teams Up for Teleserye

Actor Jake Cuenca is set to headline another ABS-CBN teleserye that will feature his first team-up with actress Andi Eigenmann.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Eigenmann revealed that her comeback project will not only feature new and returning Kapamilya stars Iza Calzado and Gabby Concepcion, but will also have Cuenca as her newest love interest on screen.

Still over the moon about his new afternoon soap “Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo,” Cuenca said he continues to challenge himself with every new role that comes his way.

“I’m honored, I’m very happy that ABS-CBN again has given me another great project like this,” he said.

“I just continue to do my best, I just continue to challenge myself when it comes to portraying my roles. I just keep on trying to make the roles, each portrayal of mine different.”

With the upwards trajectory of his career, Cuenca believes it’s his destiny to become an actor.

“I love what I do. Mahal na mahal ko talaga trabaho ko. This is my craft, this is something I believe I’m destined to do, and I want to do it for a long time. I just never stop learning. It’s a never ending learning experience for me,” he said.

“You’re only as good as your last role, so as much as possible, sa lahat ng role na ibibigay sa ’kin, I want to be good. More than being good, I just want to give life to all these characters. Gusto ko talaga bigyan ng kulay, ng hustisya lahat ng ginagagampanan ko.”

Before he is paired with Eigenmann, Cuenca is set to “give justice” to the character of Paul in “Kung Ako’y Iiwan Mo.”

Gabby Concepcion, Iza Calzado and Andi Eigenmann Teleserye to Shoot this April

Actor Gabby Concepcion is back as a Kapamilya for a new teleserye! 

Gabby signed a contract with ABS-CBN yesterday, March 28 for this upcoming series. According to the actor, he will be joined by Iza Calzado, Andi Eigenmann and another one which is yet to be revealed.

Gabby Concepcion also said in an interview with ABS-CBN news that they will start taping for the said TV series this April although nothing is final yet on when it will air.

Prior to this confirmation, there are reports that Gabby has been offered by GMA-7 a role in Richard Guttierez' upcoming series but the actor declined because he wanted to star opposite Iza Calzado. Gabby himself admitted in the interview that he loved the story of this new series with Iza and Andi.

"Magaling gumawa ang ABS-CBN ng story. Kahit noong una pa akong dumating noong 2008, napapanood ko, magaling."

According to Iza Calzado, the director of this upcoming teleserye will be box-office director Wenn V. Deramas.

As to identity of the mystery lead cast, we can only hope that it is Angel Locsin as Gabby, Iza and Derek were once rumored to be doing a teleserye entitled Kapag Puso'y Sinugatan. However, the odds that the remaining lead is a male actor is high. Iza and Gabby then Andi and who?

Is Andi's teleserye with Jessy Mendiola and Enchong Dee already shelved? Well, that is what we need to find out the coming weeks. For now, let's be happy that another teleserye with top caliber actors is coming our way this year.

ABS-CBN's Darna, Dyesebel and Captain Barbell - Who are your bets?

Last year, ABS-CBN had acquired the rights to the different masterpieces of Mars Ravelo including the famous Darna, Captain Barbell and Dyesebel. These 3 are the most remade of Ravelo's works, the last of which were from GMA-7 played by its prime talents, Marian Rivera and Richard Guttierez. 

Speculations are now abuzz on who will be playing these characters now that the Kapamilya network had the rights for a remake. According to reports, there are rumors that Cristine Reyes was the one chosen to play Darna which was once played by Angel Locsin and Marian Rivera.

There are also reports that it is Gerald Anderson who will play ABS-CBN's Captain Barbell while Andi Eigenmann will be the Kapamilya Dyesebel.

Although nothing is confirmed yet, we can assume that these actors really fit their designated roles. Cristine exudes the sexiness of Darna and Gerald's matinee idol looks and muscled body will also be a good fit for Captain Barbell's suit while Andi is already a creature of the sea after Agua Bendita.

What's more exciting to see is how they will attack on the roles previously played by Kapuso stars. A comparison is always given so it is interesting how ABS-CBN will create their own mark and flavor to these famous works of Mars Ravelo to make it different from previous remakes of rival GMA.

ABS-CBN's 'Ina, Anak, Kapatid' Main Cast Revealed!

ABS-CBN will produce another big teleserye this year which will star younger generations of actors and actresses. The said teleserye is tentatively titled Ina, Anak, Kapatid and early reports confirmed that Jessy Mendiola and Andi Eigenmann will be playing the role of sisters in this upcoming kapamilya TV series (read related article here).

Ina, Anak, Kapatid will be Andi Eigenmann's comeback teleserye after taking a leave from showbiz for motherhood. Meanwhile, this will be the first time that Jessy will be working with the former.

So, who will be Andi and Jessy's leading men in the said teleserye. According to a Philstar article, the two beautiful actresses will be joined by Enchong Dee, Martin del Rosario and Joseph Marco.

Enchong and Jessy had worked together in Boystown and are paired in the upcoming movie, The Reunion. Jessy and Joseph played it out in Sabel and MMK while Andi and Martin are both part of award-winning series, Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin.

This could be an Enchong-Jessy and Martin-Andi team up. Joseph Marco could be the third wheel in any of the two pairs or a mix up pairing could be adopted. Anyhow, what's more exciting is the story which is yet to be revealed. Jessy earlier hinted that they have Gossip Girl for a peg.

Aside from the 5 main leads, rumors has it that Ms. Jaclyn Jose (Andi's mother in real life) is also included in the cast. Can she be the 'Ina' in the working title? Let's just wait for the official statement from the producers.

Two hot Kapamilya actresses will work together in another exciting teleserye from ABS-CBN. Jessy Mendiola and Andi Eigenmann will join forces in an upcoming series tentatively titled Ina, Anak, Kapatid. Jessy Mendiola's Budoy had ended and another big project is coming her way. Meanwhile, this will be Andi Eigenmann's comeback teleserye after taking a leave from showbiz to give birth to baby Ellie.

According to Jessy, the said teleserye should still remain confidential until press people asked about it in a conference for Star Magic's 20th anniversary. Jessy also told ABS-CBN news that there is nothing sure yet - the story, the cast. What she was sure of is that she and Andi will play sisters in war 'ala Gossip Girl' in the said series.

Jessy also revealed that she will be reunited with Boystown leading man Enchong Dee in the new TV project. Both are part of the upcoming Star Cinema movie, The Reunion.

As for Andi, early reports claim that she will be doing Elwood Perez' Problem Child opposite Martin Del Rosario. The said series could have been cancelled or postponed for Ina, Anak, Kapatid.

Andi Eigenmann is now ready to take another role in a teleserye after months from giving birth to her baby Ellie. In a report from Mario Dumaual in TV Patrol weekend, Andi shared her excitement in her comeback teleserye, Problem Child.

The series is a remake of a 1980s film directed by Elwood Perez which starred Andi’s aunt, Cherie Gil, in the title role. In a Kris TV interview last January, Andi revealed how she prepared for the role and how to get back in shape after giving birth (read story here).

Andi also confessed to Mario Dumaual that three months after giving birth to Ellie, she just had a shorter time breastfeeding her child. Andi said, "Naubos agad 'yong milk ko, but I have to say I think I'm hands-on. I'm at home most of the time really making a point to stay with my baby as long as I can."

Andi is now good friends with former president Estrada's son, Jake Ejercito but according to her, she does not lean much into her love life nowadays after being frustrated in the past.

Andi is said to be paired with her Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin co-star, Martin Del Rosario in this Problem Child remake. Andi was very thankful to ABS-CBN for giving her another chance after all and said that she will prove to all that she's worth it.

Are you excited to see Andi back in a TV series? Well, this young mom will do well now after several trials and experiences that she had gone through, and with her very cute inspiration, Adrianna Gabrielle. 

Seems like Albie's a lot to lose for not claiming the child.
